Downgrade to Radio: 1.06.00.00

Hello,
I have a SPV M3100 and I upgraded to WM6. I flashed the spl and radio and followed the upgrade guide...
I want to put back my old spl and radio so I can send it back to Orange.
Before I had:
SPL: 1.04
Radio: 1.06.00.00
OS: Orange UK ROM
Now I have:
SPL: 1.40olipro
Radio: 1.38
OS: Orange UK ROM
The Orange UK ROM I used was the Reconstructed one here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...=278060&page=3
Stupidly, to put back everything I flashed spl 1.10.oli then flashed the full ROM but kept getting noGSM and then getting stuck in boot.
To get it working I had to upgrade to spl 1.40olipro again and flash radio 1.38...
I then extracted the radio from the ROM (as its the one I need) and tried flashing it with that but still had same noGSM error.
How can I get 1.06.00.00??? on the WIKI 1.06 is unavailable (which is why I extracted it from the ROM)
In the 'Standard Method' here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_ExtractedRadioRoms
it says... "Your device MUST be running bootloader version 1.04 to upgrade the radio with these:"
Can anyone advice me on this??? I do need SPL1.04 anyway as thats what orange shipped with my phone...
I dont know where to get SPL1.04 and is it correct that radio 1.06 can only be flashed on SPL1.04 and thats why im getting noGSM when I do it???
Thanks Everyone, these forums are great, after thinking I bricked my phone yesturday (flashing the full UK Orange ROM) and getting noGSM it is now fixed
P.S.
If I trust the stuff in the Full Orange ROM I used.... I extracted the SPL too which says its 1.04.
I want to try flashing SPL 1.04 first then the radio, but been advised not to? Everyone says flash SPL last! But I dont see how if it says: "Your device MUST be running bootloader version 1.04 to upgrade the radio with these:"
The problem you are having is that radio 1.38.x.x will have flashed the updated Radio bootloader to HTC_BOOT 108.
Reflashing 1.06.0.0 will not downgrade the bootloader to the required 107, and afaik there currently is no way to downgrade the radio BL.
You should still be able to use the Orange ROM with the updated radio, and if you have to do a orange warranty call, it's unlikely they will complain.
@dlfranks: Read here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=286755&?p=1217676&postcount=1007
@oliber: he's wanting to go to a radio with htc_boot 0106, probably that's not possible when you've already flashed 0108. I never tried this, but it seems that two users are having the same issue, so probably once you have 0108 you can only downgrade to radios with 0107 (but keeping 0108 on your phone, that is).
thanks
thanks guys, that makes sense. I think ill try the other radio. basicly i have only had it a few days and want to try a difo phone, there happy to swap it in the first 7 days... i just dont want them complaining i messed around with it...
want to make it look as much untampered with as poss!!
at least i got the orange rom on there, it looks good.
if i get the radio to the lowest one i can, how do i go about getting spl1.04 back on my phone. i have read the hard spl threads but cant work it out. i have 1.40olipro. do i downgrade to 1.10.oli then to 1.04? or to 1.06 then 1.04. what order?
I extracted the spl1.04 rom the orange rom i used...
thanks for your help again

first flash HardSPL-1.10, then flash 1.04. Never go to 1.06.

Device downgrade for warranty exchange help needed

Hi Guys,
I need to downgrade my phone for warranty purposes. Can any one of you give little further detail about what I need to get back to orginal rom/radio/spl and bootloader. Or in short to be able to send it back for warranty as for some reason my phone keeps dropping the GSM signal(tried flashing GSM-Radio and OS roms but no luck).
Following specs worked great for almost 6-8 months and now keep dropping signals
These were the specs from current ATT 8525 (HERM100)
AT&T 8525 (Hermes 100)
ROM: vp3G's WM6 v3.60 "Full" + Add-Ons
Radio: 1.54.07.00
IPL: 1.04 | SPL: 2.10.Olipro
I have already flashed OS and GSM ROM back to the latest ATT ROM from this link (http://www.htc.com/us/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=65&cat=2&dl_id=67). So current specs under device information are
AT&T 8525 (Hermes 100)
ROM: 3.62.502.3
Radio: 1.54.07.00 (This is not showing as currently there are no signals on phone)
IPL: 1.04 | SPL: 2.10.Olipro
Or do you think I should flash the device to the original ATT ROM (factory installed) from this link (http://www.htcamerica.net/support/8525/software-downloads.html).
Once this is done, I wish to rollback SPL and Bootloader back to factory settings. I am not sure the original version of the spl and bootloader. So if you think it's anyhow possible, can you guide me through the instructions?
I have 10 days before I return my current device with replacement unit.
Thanks in advance
AJ
Downgrading SPL and ROM
Hi here are the steps you will need to perform if you have Hard SPL v7 installed on your phone. (How do you know if you have Hard SPL or not? Just go into bootloader and if you see SPL 2.10 Olipro, you have Hard SPL.)
Next you will need to downgrade to Hard SPL 1.10 Olipro. You can find it here Hard-SPL. This is very important as this will allow you to downgrade your SPL.
Once this is done verify the SPL version in bootloader. It should be SPL 1.10 Olipro.
Now flash the manufacture specific ROM. This will take the device back to factory settings. It will also take care of the IPL and SPL versions.
Hope this will help you.

[Q] Problems Flashing a Radio to Telstra HD2.

Needless to say I'm probably asking the dumbest question ever, but I can't seem to find out what I'm doing wrong, or if I am at all.
Currently, I have a Tesltra HD2 model. I did the HSPL3 thing and that worked.
My radio model is .51, not .50; which I need.
I've tried many radio rom's that are .50 (both using the CustomRUU method and flash via SD Card) but none of them seem to work, either the CustomRUU sits at 0% or the Bootloader on startup just chills out on "Loading..."
Am I doing something wrong? Or is it the device? O_O
Thanks for your help in advance,
- Onfire.
Edit -
I've fixed the problem. I had 2.08.0000 SPL instead of 2.08.HSPL All good now!
in bootloader what does it say next to spl ?
In the colored screen?
"SPL-2.08.0000 8G XE"
Should I hard-reset it? D: Just brainstorming.
2.08.0000 is NOT hspl, it is stock
Re-run hspl3 but this time choose 2.08.hspl and not 2.08.0000
Already did that and fixed it, as I said in the edit
Thank you, though!

[Q] HD2 stucks while flashing HSPL @ loading...

Hi everyone,
gave my HD2 away for an repair - was not repairable so I obtained a brand new one.
Now I has been t-mobile branded (NO TMOUS!) and has an 1.42.6666 SPL.
Everytime I try to install HSPL it goes into bootloader, show the tricolour-screen and switches to "loading..." there it stucks.
For flashing another radio I used SSPL as also for my ROM - but this is not a situation in which I want keep it.
What can I do to flash HSPL?
Regards and thanks in advance!
Maeffjus
When I remember correctly, 1.42.6666 SPL is indeed SSPL.
Which version of HSPL.exe did you try? Which stock ROM is on your device?
Can't flash radio with SSPL.
Get a stock rom, phone into boooader, usb, flash rom.
If still problems, flash stock rom from sd card.
Nope, I tried to put a rom on SD - it also stuck while pressing the volume down-button after tricolour-screen...
What SD card do you use? Bigger ones tend not to work.
Is it formatted FAT32?
confusion with spl
spl 1.42.6666 is spl 3.03. confirm this by going into boot loader with out connected to P.C.
use hspl4.exe to back track to 2.08. or use a spl 3.03 friendly rom

no, sspl changes your spl (any spl) to 1.42.6666 just for one reboot.
sspl - soft spl - works for one boot then your normal spl is restored.
hspl - hard spl - once installed can only be removed by hspl.exe or sd card flash.

[Q] 3.03.HSPL to 2.08.HSPL with DFT

It's a simple question to which I didn't find an answer no matter how much I looked in the forum:
Can I downgrade my 3.03.HSPL to a 2.08.HSPL with the DFT installer (HSPL4)?
yes, phone into bootloader, connect usb, run hspl4, change the dropdown to whatever you want.
hi dw96
did it work for you to change from hspl 3.03 to hspl 2.08? I have the same problem.
Hi ParmakSokan, I just tried HSPL4 and it works. You are able to flash to any of the available SPL in the list and can downgrade or upgrade.
