hi there i want to use one of my mp3 tunes as my alarm in morning can anyone tell me how to add to alarm cheers. just had my first experience of reg tweaks and loving it
Have a look here, I can't test it on my phone as I am using a 23xxx build.
However, I would highly recommend G Alarm there are so many customizations for alarm tones, progressive volume level vibration and extensive alarm patterns such as weekly, Singular, workday/weekend/everyday, custom alarms and cron-like patterns. I love it, and wouldn't use anything else, well worth the €5.

Is there anyway to add custom tones/music to the smart alarm app? Or at least a way to replace the originals? Not a fan of some of the limited tunes there.
I have bionix ROM and I am rooted. I searched all over, but couldn't find an answer anywhre.
Thanks!
EDIT: Just to clarify, I know how to add custom sounds for the regular alarm, but not the smart alarm option. (for ex. I want to add a seashore sound that I found elsewhere as an option in smart alarm settings)

Well I'm running Trigger when I click on the smart alarm sound entry it brings up a menu in which I can select from my files what I prefer. I doubt this is unique to trigger, though. Are you sure you're clicking the correct entry?
Not sure but if not check out Gentle Alarm in the market. Its the same thing but allows you to customize the sounds.

Click to collapse
It may be unique to your ROM. When I click on smart alarm, I only get an option to select among the 6 default tones.
@Senorkabob
Thanks for the suggestion. However, I am trying to avoid using another alarm app if possible.
If there is a way to add that option on bionix, and anyone is aware of it, then that would be great!
can anyone tell me in which .apk the smart alarm files are in. i want to pull the alarm .ogg files to use on future phones and ICS roms that dont have the samsung smart alarm. i've looked in the clock.apk in bionix 1.3 and couldn't find them.
Try /system/media/audio/alarms
Thanks i found it. it's actually under system/media/audio/ui if anyone else would like to find them.
Hello,
I am looking for an alarm app that will allow my to play an ordered playlist. I have found that numerous apps including Alarm Clock Plus, Alarm Clock Extreme, the default alarm clock, as well as many others are unable to pull this off. The ones that offer to play from a playlist automatically shuffle the songs.
My wake up playlist is:
1)Edvard Grieg's "Morning Mood.
2)Radiohead – “No Surprises”
3)Flight of the Valkyries
If you are familiar with these songs then you will know that it is basically a slow build up from a serene atmosphere to onw with lots of energy. The best idea I can come up with is setting 3 different alarms, however, this is time consuming and too complex logistically (I prefer steamlined utilities).
I look forward to your suggestions.
Thanks!
Hi there!.
I do not know the name of this alarm tone I want, as I got it from one of the many ROMs I've tried.
The problem is that I saved it on the internal memory of my phone (so it can be always available when changing ROMs) but it broke down and returned formatted.
I know that this is an instrumental relaxed tone, with a sound like a forest/birds background. Very dawn style.
To give you an idea I have whistled, here:
- Unknown Tone -
[Up]
No one knows that alarm tone?
Obviously not, or you would have got a reply.

Hi,
Have looked around, and now asking for some recommendations for best (possibly free) Alarm app (have Galaxy SIV i9500), which gives an option to set alarms on monthly / bi-monthly/ quarterly/ yearly recurring basis, and possibly can give me an option to set an alarm for "X" no. of months from today's date (so I dont have to calculate a date and roughly can estimate ).
Dont know if such an app exists or something close.
Would appreciate your feedback and recommendations.
Thanks.
