Is there anyway to add custom tones/music to the smart alarm app? Or at least a way to replace the originals? Not a fan of some of the limited tunes there.
I have bionix ROM and I am rooted. I searched all over, but couldn't find an answer anywhre.
Thanks!
EDIT: Just to clarify, I know how to add custom sounds for the regular alarm, but not the smart alarm option. (for ex. I want to add a seashore sound that I found elsewhere as an option in smart alarm settings)
...
Well I'm running Trigger when I click on the smart alarm sound entry it brings up a menu in which I can select from my files what I prefer. I doubt this is unique to trigger, though. Are you sure you're clicking the correct entry?
Not sure but if not check out Gentle Alarm in the market. Its the same thing but allows you to customize the sounds.

It may be unique to your ROM. When I click on smart alarm, I only get an option to select among the 6 default tones.
@Senorkabob
Thanks for the suggestion. However, I am trying to avoid using another alarm app if possible.
If there is a way to add that option on bionix, and anyone is aware of it, then that would be great!

There's got to be someone! anyone!
HELPPPPPPP
Have some mercy. anyone?
with cookies 1.7 release you can remove the entire thing if you want.
I want to keep the date only. i don't want to get rid of the entire date+alarm bar.
It's like keeping the digital clock part out of the digital clock+weather bar.
I need to find out how to do these things. I understand the whole manila changing concept but I do not know which manila's are responsible for these changes nor do I have the manila's to replace them with.
Anyyyyyy help or instructions would be greatly appreciated though!
EDIT: Per the suggestions, I downloaded and can confirm it seems pretty amazing. A big learning curve though, doesn't seem intuitive. Working on that.
I Really would like to start using this app, but the permissions seem crazy to me. Everyone's thoughts? Am I just paranoid? The developer seems very legit and know's whats up... fan of XDA too... so, probably nothing, but I am so skeptical when an app needs so much (though, given the power of the app, it sorta makes sense)
This application has access to the following:
Services that cost you money:

Hmm.. quick widget access?
I think you are just being paranoid. It's obviously a widely used app and as you can see a wonderful app to have.
If this was an unknown dev I would say do some research.
Thanks for this didn't know widgetlocker had themes!

yea like i have power amp so i put that widget there i also have my weather widget there also you can choose a different wallpaper aside from the one your phone has
I have been using it for a week or so now. I love having my fancy widget with weather on my lock screen but I get more use out of the Pandora Widget. control my music without having to unlock my phone when I pull it out of my pocket. added a slider for some things and its awesome. check out my layout i think it came out great personally.
How do I use the theme?

I've had it for a while but stopped using it, it would often default to system lockscreen and it runs in bg using resources, but it is pretty.PS. why are my screenies teh suck?
Don't blame me, blame my keyboard's autocorrection algorithm.

Cool! Thanks for posting this. I'm just not sure exactly how to use apply these themes. What exactly do we do with the .zips?
I want this one - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11817549&postcount=69
1. go the app menu and open widget locker (will not work from an already locked state )
2. Long press on open space
3. Select "Custom Slider"
4. click the drop down box to select a different slider from those installed or select "get themes" and download them directly.
5. customize the slider before you select "save"
EDIT: http://widgetlocker.teslacoilsw.com/themes-doc/installing-themes/ <-- how to install
Nvm we need 2.0 version lol
Alright, downloaded it... it looks like there is a little bit of a learning curve on this app. I will try reading the guides already out there and see if I can give a readers digest version later.
I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and love it. I got it specifically for keeping the audiogalaxy app on the locker as to have quicker access to pause or stop music. I have also grown fond of the rotary lock as well.
I've been using Widget Locker for months and I've never had a problem. I've just discovered the theming aspect of it so I'm excited to get into that. I'm wanting to theme the rotary and the normal android tabs like the lockscreens in Bionix 1.3, hopefully it turns out well! If someone's already done this, let me know where to find it
Here is my first attempt.....
Not perfect.
This is an attempt to get some better understanding of how the exhibition mode works in CM7 based roms for the Touchpad. So far I know that when you put the TouchPad on the TouchStone, it opens up the clock. Some people have been asking how to disable that. After some googling, I came upon this error on the cmtouchpad issue log:
http://code.google.com/p/cmtouchpad/issues/detail?id=149
Posts 7 and 12 seem to give advice how to turn off the exhibition mode.
You apparently have to create or edit the file:
/data/local/userinit.sh
to add the line:
echo 1 > /sys/module/a6/parameters/disable_dock_switch
I personally don't want to do this, but I thought some others might find it handy. What I am interested in is figuring out how to change what app is brought up when you place the TP on the TS. Input/ ideas?
There is a free app that disables it.

Also Alarm Clock Plus lets you pick which app launches on docking. It also lets you disable it. I read tasker does too, but I don't use that app.

It's just an app. If you download another app that identifies as a dock app, when you dock again you'll get the option to set the default docking app.
I haven't tried many, desk clock plus is one that lets you play music, display photos etc.

It's the identifying as a dock app that I want to learn more about, i.e. can I force an app to be brought up that does not have the option integrated into it? There must be some xml file to edit that you can specify additional apps to be brought up when docking.
I do not want to install an app to do this. (an app to launch another app)

You just don't want to use alarm clock plus? You can specify any installed app to start when docked through that app. You get the desired result, I must be missing the negative.

I just think it is silly to have an app activate an app based on a notification rather than be able to customize either the notification or the app I want to use directly. This is xda-developers, I want to develop dammit, not be restricted to the norm of how it should act
small apps
I found the following info on rootzwiki.. try at your own risk :good:
I use the following to replicate the photo frame exhibition mode from webos
1. antek app manager (free) - freeze the clock to disable it - optional
2. photo slides(free) - to display photos as in a slideshow (you can us any app you want)
3. settings profile lite(free) - added a rule ( condition = dock and action = start app photo slides.photo frame when condition met and kill app on condition exit)
as soon as I put on touchstone starts displaying photos and when I pick up the touchpad goes to home screen
Is there an app out there that allows me to attach different notification sounds for different types of notifcation. For example, I want it to play a different sound for email than it does for SMS.
I've had a look at Tasker in the sticky but it looks to complicated for a complete NOOB like me.
I've done a search in this forum but couldn't easily find anything that helped.
I'm running unrooted 4.2.2.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Hi there man,
all you need to do is set the notification from the app itself.
for example gmail: go to settings>[email protected]>notification and change to whatever you'd like.
If you wanna add different types of notifications you can either use an app from playstore like "zedge" or copy to your device in the path: /sdcard/notifications

Cheers, I'll try that
You might try the app Light Flow. In addition to changing led lights it can also change the sound notifications of apps. It's available in Google Play and the paid version has the notification sounds manager.

On all my previous phones, I've been able to make a widget shortcut to settings (Bluetooth). Since I've got this phone, there isn't that option anymore. Are there any suggestions on how to do this? There used to be an app that could do such a thing, but I forgot the name.

The only thing I can remember about the really old app is its icon was of a little cottage with a mushroom. As for the suggestion, it worked. I wish that it was strictly a shortcut and not also a toggle. The old app, you could create a shortcut to just about anything, even dialer code settings that are hidden from normal users. It was called any cut. Doesn't work with this phone. Last update was 2008.

Easiest answers for me are power toggles or similar app, which allows you to stick pretty much anything on your homesreen (battery percentage, bluetooth, volume, endless). Other is to utilize a shortcut from a launcher alternative, such as Nova, Apex, Holo, sSlauncher, &c.
Zooper, UCCW, Pop-up Widget, all allow settings shortcuts.
Hope this helps.
