can anyone tell me in which .apk the smart alarm files are in. i want to pull the alarm .ogg files to use on future phones and ICS roms that dont have the samsung smart alarm. i've looked in the clock.apk in bionix 1.3 and couldn't find them.
Try /system/media/audio/alarms
Thanks i found it. it's actually under system/media/audio/ui if anyone else would like to find them.

Thanks for your diligent response.
However, I do not want the alarm icon or the text next to it (the alarm text) at all.
Is there any way to do that?

Would you know by chance what file(s) it is?

Have some mercy. anyone?
with cookies 1.7 release you can remove the entire thing if you want.
I want to keep the date only. i don't want to get rid of the entire date+alarm bar.
It's like keeping the digital clock part out of the digital clock+weather bar.
I need to find out how to do these things. I understand the whole manila changing concept but I do not know which manila's are responsible for these changes nor do I have the manila's to replace them with.
Anyyyyyy help or instructions would be greatly appreciated though!
hi there i want to use one of my mp3 tunes as my alarm in morning can anyone tell me how to add to alarm cheers. just had my first experience of reg tweaks and loving it
Have a look here, I can't test it on my phone as I am using a 23xxx build.
However, I would highly recommend G Alarm there are so many customizations for alarm tones, progressive volume level vibration and extensive alarm patterns such as weekly, Singular, workday/weekend/everyday, custom alarms and cron-like patterns. I love it, and wouldn't use anything else, well worth the €5.
Is there anyway to add custom tones/music to the smart alarm app? Or at least a way to replace the originals? Not a fan of some of the limited tunes there.
I have bionix ROM and I am rooted. I searched all over, but couldn't find an answer anywhre.
Thanks!
EDIT: Just to clarify, I know how to add custom sounds for the regular alarm, but not the smart alarm option. (for ex. I want to add a seashore sound that I found elsewhere as an option in smart alarm settings)

Well I'm running Trigger when I click on the smart alarm sound entry it brings up a menu in which I can select from my files what I prefer. I doubt this is unique to trigger, though. Are you sure you're clicking the correct entry?
Not sure but if not check out Gentle Alarm in the market. Its the same thing but allows you to customize the sounds.

It may be unique to your ROM. When I click on smart alarm, I only get an option to select among the 6 default tones.
@Senorkabob
Thanks for the suggestion. However, I am trying to avoid using another alarm app if possible.
If there is a way to add that option on bionix, and anyone is aware of it, then that would be great!
I want to use Samsung alarm clock on my Atrix.
So I renamed the current alarm clock apk to txt, then copied ClockPackage.apk to the system/app folder and then I gave it the same permissions as the rest of the apps.
When I rebooted, the app wasn't listed in my app list.
Maybe I'm missing something?. How can I make it work?.
:bump:
Anyone?.
Please...Motoblur one freezes and the one included in Gingerblur only lets you choose the predefined alarms.
I need to know why its not listed in my app list.
I'll attach the app I'm talking about.
Does anyone know how to remove the alarm clock "if i have it on" and time from the status bar ? or point me to a thread explaining how to do it. I have looked high and low for thread but nothing for build 2.08.651.2 android 2.3.4. Would greatly appreciate the help. Here is a link to my systemUi.apk not sure if that needed.

i did find this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1200161&highlight=remove+clock+from+status+bar but im not sure where to find the files "\com\android\systemui\statusbar\policy\StatusBarPolicy.smali" and "status_bar.xml"
I used a few of those mods, location, clock and alarm but the alarm clock one doesnt seem to work. I followed everything the way it was and no luck. I got the digital clock removed. Was told that to remove the alarm clock there was a few more steps involved. To find the smali and xml files you have to use a program to decompile and recompile the SystemUI.apk. I used GingerScript program. Search the evo 3D forum for that, its a simple script that basicly does everything for you.
