[Q] New UI please - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just saw iron man 2. The UI that stark uses on his mobile device reminded me of the HD2. I was wondering if there is any suggestions on how to get a monochromatic version of sense or something like that. I think it would be really cool to have another attention grabber other than the awesomeness of the HD2.

The rom I would love to see

I love HTC Sense! Not so much the main layout or launcher, but I love the menus and the contact integration with Facebook, Twitter, calander, favorites widget etc. If a Sense UI rom came out, or one integrated with Launcherpro this phone would be unreal! Please developers make this happen

I thought the Fascinate had pretty good integration... i do love sense too though.
Vanilla rom with LP or
Cyan with ADW or LP.
I do like the gui for the Fascinate and sense ui, but being realistic I would be happy with a Cyan rom with ADW or LP
ADW would be perfect if it had the same widgets LP had.
Why don't you return your Fascinate and go get an Incredible then? Seriously, why buy the Fascinate and then ask for a Sense or Droid-X-ish port. Want some iOS while we're at it?
I think it would be awesome seeing sense on this phone. Because of the amazing hardware. Nothing that htc has is comparable to this phone. And since were on android we can port roms.

You reply is unnecessary. What's wrong with wanting the best of both worlds? I want the better hardware, screen (size), and battery life of the Fascinate with Sense. You don't? That's cool - just don't tell others what they should or shouldn't want.

I actually own both phones so thanks =) Secondly I like the design of the Fascinate, I just like the UI of the Incredible way better. I mean really if you wanted a phone that looks like the iPhone why dont you return your Fascinate and go buy an iPhone?

If he bought an iphone then it would be running ios and not android. The ui on the incredible is called sense. Sense is a rom that can be ported over to other android devices. The fascinate has the highest rated cpu and graphics on the market to the date, also has the best screen to size ratio to date.so if you put a ui you love on a phone that can beautifully support it , then why not. Sense on the fascinate will be better then anything htc has with sense in americas carrier line up .

Chance of Sense ports?

Hey guys.
Am still being torn between the Sensation and the Galaxy S 2 and, although I'm inclining towards the GS2,I still have some issues. Two of them are the biggest:
Plastic body(can live with that) and the absence of Sense(made a rime there! ).
As for the second one, what do you guys think?I saw two days ago that Sense 2.1 has been ported almost fully to the Nexus S,so why wouldn't the GS2 be able to run, say,Sense 3?
Seriously though, imagine this beast and Sense 3.Magic!If it is possible,I'm most probably sold!

same for me, i'm now a few weeks without sense, and neither launcher pro nor any of the other launchers are comfortable or "smooth" in the same way sense was...
i'm sure it would be possible to port sense to sgs2, but i think this would be a lot of hard work. without some dedicated devs there is absolutely no chance.
in the meanwhile i'm enjoying the sgs2 very much, the hardware is way ahead of anything HTC could offer at the moment - the overall user experience is almost superb...
what do you guys miss because im not understanding. It doesnt offer the same functionality with sense on past Winmo devices. Im not trying to be rude but help me understand what you guys are missing. Is it the eyecandy or flipclock?
I'm curious..
Don't misinterpret the tone of what I'm about to ask.. I assure you it is merely an inquiry..
If people love the sense UI why wouldn't they just exclusively by HTC devices?
Again, don't get me wrong.. I've used Sense (HTC Touch Pro) and Touch Wiz (Captivate, Vibrant, and soon SGS II) and I too miss the integrated prettiness of SenseUI but SenseUI isn't gonna happen on a non-HC device.. I'd venture to say ever.. (If I'm in error here please correct me) Sure I know we cannot predict tomorrow but I've read way too many threads where people have tried and as with most cases with attempted ports there's just too much custom code related to Sense to port to a non-Sense environment.
I'd LOVE to see native SenseUI on a Galaxy class device.. Sadly I doubt we ever will..
Intruda119 we are kinda having a civilized thing here, not intended for flaming.Do you, like any normal human being, have an opinion? If yes,say it.Else, don't criticise others.

Well,I want real power this time, that's why I'm turning to the Sam side!
Seriously though,I'd buy HTC again but all my smartphones have been HTC,so I kinda want a break.
What do I like in Sense?Mmm...Never had to answer that one before!Well, for me it's like they took all the good characteristics of other launchers and put them together in a nice,feature-packed(and resource-heavy however)interface.
Well,guess I'll try a detox...

who cares about Sense? you want Sense UI? get a HTC. i won't be using Sense or TW4 anyways. you want Sense on SGS2? wait for half a year for devs to port a buggy, crashy copy.
people talking about ROMs and crap...wait, noobs....wait
I would like sense, but after reading engadget's review of how it is not as snappy as the galaxy s 2, I wouldn't want to hinder the galaxy s 2 and it's goodness.
I guess im the only one to use 1-2 homescreen pages.

Just remember, software can be changed and upgraded. Hardware can't.

CM and MIUI are infinitely more important to me than Sense. If I wanted HTC's restrictive UI on my GS2 I would have bought a HTC instead.
Anyway, I doubt you will see a proper port of Sense and all it's required libraries any time soon. They have only just managed to get a usable version on the Galaxy and that phone is over a year old.

I can't imagine it being laggy, it already runs pretty smooth on the desire anyway the whole sense experience makes things for users much smoother.

I'm not sure so much that it is lag. But if i have the same setup on launcherpro and sense and the same animation, the launcherpro just looks SOO MUCH smoother. THink it's something to do with the fps?
I'm curious as well. WHAT is it about Sense that everyone wants? I come from a WM background so for us it's that WM is ****ty and Sense provides a pretty and functional (or as functional as we can get) interface to the user. Android, however, is BRILLIANT and has plenty of apps and launchers and what not that it doesn't need you to have ANOTHER interface controlling everything. Isn't it a blessing not to have sense??
I'd really like to hear your guys opinions.
I think so, seeing as I got bored of it. and switched to launcherpro after a few months, however this was on my first ever android phone and I didn't even know that there was such a thing as a UI overlay for android! If I'd known you could get replacement launchers from the market I would have done it much earlier!

Well apart from having the best keyboard, email, message, gallery, contact, dialer, and widgets
like friendstream it's also the tight integration of everything with everything and it's beautiful too.

I agree with the dialer and Widgets. But it hasn't got the best of everything else. Not to mention thr fact that there are better Widgets on the market. I've been using a custimizable, scrolling Calender for a long time now on launcherpro.
And don't know about sense 3 but the gallery on my desire really isn't amazing. Its pretty average and takes a llong time to load images.

[Q] Thank God It's Not iPhone

I think Android should keep this as their new slogan. (Unofficial)
TGINi = Thank God It's Not iPhone . Lets pronounce it like ... (T-Genie)
I came up with that after reading the launch post of the new Galaxy Nexus
I am loving the phone, it looks very promising specially icecream sandwich. I think it rocks.
I love Android and I love the liberty it gives me.
Do you guys like it ?
I love the design and ICS looks incredible... even if most of the new features seem a little gimmick-y to me. For me it will be most interesting to see what HTC manage to do with Sense on it (and the other companies who modify Android - but mainly HTC for me ).

WP7 Looks on RAZR :-P

Hey guys, This is a small make and configuration of WP7 on RAZR. It will sure cost 10 bucks, you have to download few apps from Android Market... But, for a change till we get the mighty ICS, It will do some trick... .. It is pretty fast and smooth... Hope you like the VDO... Thanks for watching in advance... Sorry for my poor english...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqEwiTThckA
Looks definitly hot and hotter than lumia 800
Looks horrible...using Wp7 for more than a year and am sick of it...sorry, no offense to the original poster...

It does not really matter bro, do not worry.. It is mix of Android energy putting into WP7, Android rocks btw having full customization to keep widgets etc.. ,and a look of well made WP7... On Android, anything is possible but easy...
I do not like WP7 indeed but, just for a change, made this customization from apps available on the Android Market... As soon as ICS knocks my RAZR, will put it in the bin... Just one sentence, "Android is a permanent choice where u do lot of stuffs and WP7 is temporary choice could live only few days.... I too have gone through WP7 phones...

[REQ] Sony Xperia U Sense rom ?!

Hello every one...
i was just wondering if someone can port a sense rom for the xperia U ? i think it would be awesome for sense lovers
can someone port a sense rom for it ?!!
Hey there Sayed.
A Sense ROM is going to be a hard one to achieve for our handheld devices to be honest mate.
For pretty much 2 reasons : 1) Sense ROMS are hardware dependant ( They do check if your device is a HTC or not)
and 2)Sense is a copyright'ed product, which means that the user who ported Sense to our devices will get a lawsuit for Copyright infringement.
But to be honest ,while i know everyone has his own tastes,i dont know whats so special about Sense,my gf's HTC Evo 3D has Sense and tbh,i hate it. Its more confusing ,more resource consumer and not exactly that pretty.
If you want a taste of sense on your phone, just download Sense Analog Clock widget and the Sense theme for Go Launcher EX.

There's already port of sense for galaxy nexus. It doesn't really works in 100%, but boots, so maybe those two are not really issues. Maybe someone hacked it to think that gnex.is HTC or something, but that's somehow possible to port sense.

google it, it'll give you sense dock and stock google app drawer.
u can wait for cm9 or cm10 and get htc theme for those , i have cm10 ( xperia ray ) and it looks like htc
its somehow being ported here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1956936
but i think as our hardware is way too Different for other devices its really hard to port it,,
