Anyone have any word on a fix for hardware locked phones. Ive already returned one phone.

No.
Why ask if there is any news when there is like 1000 threads discussing the issue? Don't u think it would be breaking news and be stickied?
I must have overlooked the 1000 threads on the subject.

Idk if its me but it sems that EVERY GB roms that is released, the most common denominator for issues seem to be the HTC Messaging App. When selected as one of the homescreens, you cannot click on any of the texts in order to go into the text. The 3line button is the only button but that just leadsYou into the actual text app and then you can chose which text to respond to.The email widget works well and they mirror each other in design. So is this a GB thing cause FROYO doesn't. Have that issue?

Lol, I have seen this question in every thread. It is a GB Bug, it is like that in every ROM.
Is this really that big of a deal?

Hey guys I know I saw this somewhere before on irc but I don't remember what the fix was. I was away from my phone for a while and then when I came back to it it had the ! In the status bar and it said enable wifi to update. What exactly does this update do? Does it revert me back to 1.8.3?
Thanks

You could atleast post how to fix...your post is as useless as mine if youre just complaining. I didn't know what to search for.

soo.... that means there is NO fix. Don't worry about it.. the update doesn't bug you every hour like the other ones did.

no his post was informing you that there were other threads and look there that is the answer...and hes right we have a problem with repeat threads makes getting real information around here ridiculous.
Every so often when I'm doing different things i see lookout fc. Haven't been able to narrow it down yet. Anyone else seeing this? Trying to determine if its hardware or software conflict seeing as the Q just came out.

Don't know if you noticed but you're in the wrong device forum.. lol. Anyway it might be a software conflicting with something.

Pretty sure photon q doesn't have a dedicated forum yet so people are just backpacking on us for a while. We had to do this for a bit before they gave us photon users a dedicated forum.
But to respond to your question.. there was a recent study done of the reliability and effectiveness of android anti viruses. Lookout actually ranked pretty low. The one that came in first place out of the 20 tested was Kaspersky's mobile version. Perhaps try it out and see if it works better for you.
Acvice, I see your point but I think it would still make more sense to post in the right forum so that other members could benefit. Just sayin lol.. OP you don't have a tasker running do you?

What I mean was, there literally isn't a Photon Q forum at all.

Hmm, didn't come up for me in the 'Find my device' search bar. Thanks for the heads up, my mistake.
Is it just me or am I Imaging things ..
Ive been on XDA for years in many forums.
Lately every topic of mine I've made I've noticed 10 views 25views 96 views ,doesnt matter how many.. I always have a response, wether good or bad every topic this week I see 100 views no responses not even a smart ass one ...?
I've contributed a lot to HTC one topic wise even before release
I could almost swear that my topics are being blocked from "member " responses, even though they all have views. Wtf is going on here ,every worthless topic under mine least they have responses.

Hi,
I need 10 posts to report a bug in dev section, this seems for me pretty sensless >_>?
Instead of complaining about the initial posts you need to post outside of general, you could always create a thread in general explaining the bug and somebody else could report it for you. Alternatively, you can also pm the dev of the software you have a bug on.

How exactly is it unfair? It helps to prevent trolling. Sorry if you don't like it. Nobody is forcing you to be an xda member.

Okay buddy don't get that much angry, and it is what I feel and I said that.
Everyone loves XDA and I too have been following it since 2011.

I'm not angry, I just think it's a stupid thing to complain about. I don't think the requirement is over the top.
Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk
Could be over the top for you but think if someone is stuck badly and needs to ask for help from a particular ROM's users then he will have to make 10 posts and that too after time intervals. In most cases his first ten posts would be useless just to bypass that restriction.

Why could this person not pm the dev directly?
Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk
Because developer alone cannot solve everyone's problems and pm are not liked by all the developers. A problem can be better solved by community together rather than a single developer who may or may not read the pm for days whereas atleast few members on thread will in some hours.
Sent from my LT26ii using xda app-developers app
I find most devs to be pretty responsive, and I doubt the rule will ever change because it does more good than bad. At least you must be quite a bit closer to your 10 posts thanks to this thread.
