If anyone wants a Droid Eris that is rooted, but doesn't want to do it themselves or they just want another one to play with, here ya go.

This is a new replacement and not a like new. Verizon actually gave me a new replacement after I *****ed and moaned about how I hated like news. haha
Only 10 hours left!
I just paid 160 for mine 2 weeks ago on ebay and others were going for over 200.. I got a steal because whoever posted it on ebay only had it up for 1 day and I was only bidder who saw it..
You need to extend the time or your going to end up shorting yourself on some dollars
Make sure you put alot of tags so searchers will find it

I have a rooted Eris im selling, im getting a iphone instead. It's going up for sale on the 17th if anyone wants it im selling it for 250$ it comes with two chargers and 2 batterys is in mint condition (4 weeks old) Screen protector has been on it since day 1. If no one wants it, its going on ebay for the same price. I figure I would offer it up on here as all the users here appreciate root and understand its hard to comeby now. I will only accept paypal from a verified user/account and shipping address must match and be verified. If your uncomfortable with using paypal only, I will start an ebay auction and end it to you early @ 275 only because of ebay fees.
if you dont mind, I'mgonna piggyback on your post as well, so any potential buyers: BUY HIS FIRST. I don't like competition lol.
same deal with me, but I'm going to remain loyal to android and probably get the new droid xtreme/shadow or droid 2 from motorola when they come out next month, so if you do want mine, you will have to wait until sometime in july.
Verizon now has a trade in program and I put in some of my old Phones(Palm 700p and Samsung i760) only to find out they were worthless. However when I put in my Eris it came up with a surprising $132. Being that I only paid $50 in the first place for it, I'm shocked. Thought I would share this with the community. Oh yeah, if you want to do it, here is the site https://www.trade-in.vzw.com/AppraisalPage.aspx
You paid more than $50. It's subsidized by your contract.
Are they going to send you a check or do you get a discount off from something else? I am assuming you have to buy something else at full price.
$132 for Eris!!!
I did the same thing this morning (I already had upgraded to a Droid X). $132 is not a bad price for that device. I also have a Moto Droid 1 and I put that in, and it only came up as $50????? As far as how they pay you, they pay you in Verizon Gift Cards. With those, I turn around and pay my bill thus freeing up money I didn't have before!
Oh thats cool.
I did the wizard for the Eris and at first got only $46...but then I realized I clicked YES YES YES too fast. The third one should be NO if you want to see what top dollar is.
So how would this work? We'd get the rebate but still have a bit of time on our contracts, but have no phone. We'd have to then either buy new phones at full retail or re-up our contracts. Am I right?

Yes you would need to have some other phone that I were using. You could do the renewal then trade in the old phone later and apply it to your bill.
If you are on a family plan you might be able to steal the discount from another line and get an incredible for 149. That might be what I do because I have 3 lines out of contract and the people on those lines don't want a new phone. I'm just wondering if I should wait till 4g phones come out.

I signed up a few minutes ago! Already switched to the Droid X a while back. Just wondering.. Are we supposed to include the charger? The microSD card? It never mentions anything but the phone itself. I don't need either of these things, but don't want to look stupid if I shouldn't include them lol..
EDIT: I missed the FAQ link at the bottom of their site. So to answer my own question, do not include any accessories with the device. =]
I sold mine on Craigslist for $150 and turned around and bought a Droid for $175. If you live in certain areas, there are a lot of cell phone places that want to buy Eri and the like to flash to MetroPCS or Cricket and charge another $100 for them. Just something else to think about.
I cannot believe Big Red will give you more for an Eris than for a Droid 2 or Droid X. Anyone care to speculate?
Eris is like a fine wine or what?
Verizon is trying to get more replacements to avoid giving droid eris users higher end replacements like DX.

See, that's when you wait till just before they stop supporting it, and hit in with warrenty
So I just "lost" my phone, I say lost because it was lost for 3 days and, being that its my only line of communication, I had to buy another one using insurance. Can I turn the old one in for this deal? Or does VZW void your IMEI when you lose a phone?
Never mind, that's part of the agreement. Crap, I was hoping to get an easy $132 (well really $42 since I had to pay $90 to asurion).
I don't think they check. Good luck

Hi all,
I currently have a perfect condition TB w/ 2 stock oem 1400mah batteries, 2 amazon 1600mah batteries, an oem extended 2750 battery, and an external charger that can charge all of the batteries listed above. I also have the original boxing for it all too, ESN is clean, 32GB SD, SIM ,original charger, and a 6ft gigaware charging chord.
Everything works absolutely perfect and was wondering what I should price this at if i put it on eBay???

Half that at least. Nobody is going to pay that for all that when they can get the phone brand new and still buy spare batteries for $250, give or take. No offense, but what is a normal person going to do with 5 batteries, 3 of which make a thick phone into a complete brick.
Here's who you're likely selling to....
The guy who just killed his Tbolt, and the guy who wants to get one for the first time. The guy who just killed his, if he has a brain, will just get the insurance replacement for $100. They guy who's never had one will walk in and pick up a new phone for $200 and wait to see how crappy the battery REALLY is before forking out for a bigger battery. I think you'd be doing pretty good to tempt the guy wanting a new one at the bargain basement price of $175 obo.
Just my opinion....

First of all, the 1600's don't make the phone bigger. At all. They are the exact same size as the stock batteries.
Second of all, the 2750 does not make the phone a brick at all. Ask anyone who has it.
Third, the amount of batteries is for people who travel. Like myself.
Lastly, there are currently people on Craigslist and eBay who are selling JUST THE PHONE for 300, I have an add for all that for 350.

Yeah I would think you could get at least $250-$300 and maybe a bit more. If someone is wanting to buy off contract they are going to be looking at close to a $600 price tag if they went through VZW. So I don't think something around $300 is too high for a like new phone.

Personall, don't sell it in a bundle, sell the phone with maybe the 2 amazon batteries, than everything else separate. Bu that's just me!
Sent by a rooted Thunderbolt.
Ya, if I were you I would part it all out (just like people chop up cars), because you can get more for each part then selling it as a bundle.
Since the cost of new one has been coming down, you may be able to get more by selling everything separately. I'm sure there are people out there who may want to get a good deal on a battery or two and not get the phone and vice versa.
Anyways good luck.
well, i just sold an HD2 for $250 on tuesday...
which i believe is probably what i bought it for on craigslist 2 years ago,
i'd say you could do at least $300 w/ all that stuff included considering that it's still Verizon's best phone and no contract required
Does anyone think i could sell all things separately on ebay and actually sell them ALL
delivered via Zeus' finger
I bought my TB off Ebay brand new for $250... I don't see why you could not get that or more for the bundle. Just check the current listings and see what the average TB is going for and place yours in that price range.
The right buyer will pay whatever you want but the hard part is finding the buyer.

Would you be willing to sell the phone with normal accessories, stock battery and 2750 battery for $250? My wife has the charge and hates it. She is jealous of my thunderbolt.
I'm going to sell it early October, on the exact day of the Vigor launch. Where are you located?

I'm located in pittsburgh
Well if your wife can wait till early October its all hers

I'm sure she can as long as its in good shape. When the time comes just send me some pics to make sure its not all beat up. Is it rooted already or not? Her charge is rooted but I nor she is a fan of any ROM that's available over there.

Looks like we got a deal
sent from a Th3orized Bolt '
Hey guys I just had some quick questions.
Right now I have a OG Original Droid X which is a total POS, but I have a friend of mine that will buy it off me for $100.
I was thinking of waiting for the Galaxy Nexus but im really impatient lol, and I did notice that VWZ is letting us return phones until January 15th if returned now.
So i was thinking I may as well buy the rezound NOW and then when the nexus comes out if i like that better its not a big deal I can just return the rezound and get the nexus, no big deal... so its a WIN WIN in my book
I can get the rezound for $250 using my New Every 2 upgrade and keep my Unlimited Data with 4G (Thanks VWZ!) Do Verizon Corporate stores have the extended batteries in stock?
I have my eye on the extended 2550 MAH battery and would like to wheel and deal with some VWZ folks to get the battery included with the purchase of the rezound, so is that where everyones going for the battery also?
Thanks Guys!
I don't use the extended battery, but, to the best of my knowledge, if you return the phone you are still going to pay a restocking fee of $35 or something to that extent, so I wouldn't go buy all the accessories if you get the phone and think you are going to jump ship. You won't be refunded for accessories. Get the phone, play with it, when the Nexus comes out, spend some time in the store with it and make an educated decision that suits you best because in the end it is your money you will be throwing away. OR You can wait it out a couple days, test out both and walk out the door with accessories. Remember though, the Nexus doesn't have a removable battery, at least I don't remember so, but I could be wrong. You could always get one of those cheap USB batteries.
They wont refund accessories?
ide love to wait but there is no confirmed release date for the Nexus and all sources point to a pushed back december release date.. i dont want to wait another month before i get a phone
I just spoke with one of those online VZW Reps that pop up on their website every once and awile and they told me I can also return all my accessories if i return the phone within the grace period as well, so that shouldnt be an issue and I can get out of everything with just a 35 restocking fee worse case scenerio
Nexus does have a removable battery, just no sd card. Razr doesn't have a removable battery. You might have confused the two.
I said I could be wrong, but I remembered P3Droid saying there wasn't, and he has had the phone for almost 2 weeks. Regardless, it will make the phone awkward, unless the battery is curved too? Which would make the phone way bigger than the Rezound without a case!
The fact P3 has had the phone so long, I doubt it is still being pushed back man. Even the best developers don't get the phone months in advance.
I figured I'd share this as hope for some of you who may have phone problems...please keep in mind that I was not fishing for this, I'm just a very understanding and patient person who takes the good with the bad and realizes that getting pissed only makes situations worse, be nice to your CSR lol. I've also been on a family plan with verizon for over 10 years now and am a former ATT wireless CSR.
I have had a dx/dx2(plagued by asurion with the dx2 as a dx replacement IMO) for most of my android life and I must say it was a pleasure from cm7/fission/liberty on the dx to eclipse/molten/liberty on the dx2 but I was recently blessed(after much hassle) to an early upgrade to a new galaxy nexus as a replacement for the dx2(which i received through a purchase for re-embursement by asurion 6 replacement phones later) after my dx was stolen back in may of 2011. 6 monthes or so into the dx2 I encountered the same issue I had with the other 6+ dx's prior and called verizon obviously. After explaining my problem and going through trouble shooting I was then told I'd be receiving a D3. I accepted as I didn't figure I'd get a 4G phone and I'm in love with Moto. I received the D3 without battery or cover or anything and called. They were sorry and found they were out of regular d3 batteries so they would send me an extended battery. so I get the package in the mail and it turns out to be a dx2 extended battery, obviously their mistake. so I call and am then told they are out of extended battery covers. I told the CSR that I loved moto and had told them they probably couldn't give me what I wanted(jokingly) referring to the new nexus. After waiting for the CSR to return to the line I'm told they could offer me a Bionic as a replacement but then told there was a problem in the system because I had never had 4G and to top it off my family member has the bionic so if they tried a work around it would look like my sister had problems and replacements and so on. Again on hold and then the CSR returns telling me she spoke to her super and was going to do an early upgrade and give me a 200 credit towards a bionic(which would make it free) or a nexus that i stated I wanted before. Obviously taken aback I took the GN and will now be receiving it with overnight shipping tomorrow.
I'm obviously very excited. I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea and start going crazy n rep shopping or trying to do this just to try and get it...I just want everyone to remember that the reps are paid to help you(devs aren't really paid so kiss their asses more lol) and you should treat EVERYONE the way you would like to be treated as what goes around comes around
Goodbye DX/DX2 community. I'm sure I'll see some of you around

I recently had a similar situation. I called Verizon and was able to upgrade my Alltell family plan minutes and keep and stay on my same plan (Unlimited texting and data for $20 per line. Really don't want to let it go)
I guess he went the extra mile to help me out because I was laughing and joking with him on the phone instead of cussing him out.
You try to do what you can to bring a smile to others and they will hopefully return the favor. It's called Karma....
