Universal ANDROOT .. Help please - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I can't seem to UN root my phone. In the app it DOES say your device is UNrooted but then apps like root explorer and setCPU still function. So I re rooted ( it didn't really UN root so tech. I really didn't re root) jus to see super user app and nothing shows up in the app permissions. WTF is going on. Also when I install root applications super user does not even pop up asking for permissions. I recently installed busy box so I can get titanium to work..titanium hangs on the loading screen but this only started to happen after I tried UN rooting.
I used this app to root my phone so it should UN root it.
I guess its okay but will this prevent me from updating to froyo when the update is launched.
devs please reply.

[Help] Force closing Superuser!

I just rooted my other vibrant like I always do (using the .zip from the sticky) and I have superuser permissions but it keeps force closing. Tried using terminal but I'm denied superuser rights due to the force close. Tried rebooting. Tried to redo the update.zip. Searched online but haven't seen this issue anywhere. Stock everything by the way. Please help!

[Q] Samsung fascinate root help

Pleaz help!!
I rooted my fascinate with z4root. Then, I unrooted. Then, I noticed that my superuser was still there. I tried to delete it but couldn't. Then, I heard that u can delete it by rooting, so I tried to root it again. But for some reason, z4 keeps saying, you already have the such binary. Unable to root. I then tried to root using other programs on my computer with one click root program. That kept saying, unable to root device. Please help me delete the su or reroot my phone.
A few simple commands with an app called terminal emulator, free in market. Search YouTube for "fascinate remove root" for the commands

You can also set to stock using Odin. There is also a way to delete the root files using root explorer if you still have root access but I'm guessing not as that happened to be after the last update.

I recently got a droid x2 and updated to the current system (2.3.3). I somehow still have the superuser icon but none of my apps TI back up, overclock, root explorer, and etc will not work. I tried using gingerbreak and cant root it. Z4 root says I can unroot for some reason when I know I dont have root.
Thanks for any help

Root functions on unrooted p500 with cm7

Is it posible to do root function(overclock, change VM heap, screenshot, reboot etc.) from the cm7 settings, after unrooting the phone?
I think it is possible to do them, but will they work?

It isn't because for that stuff you will need administrator privileges (root) maybe you can unroot but before change your user privileges in a terminal maybe thats a workaround

the same thing happened to me. I think the update they sent my phone that auto updated, p[ut me on the new software so I can't root my phone. I downloaded super su thinking it was rooted, but when i open the app there are no applications in the apps section and no logs in the logs section, etc... Now I can't delete the supersu app.
Any help from anyone in these forums would be great!

anyone tried voodoo rootkeeper before update ?
OP, go into the IRC channel. go to webchat.freenode.net. Fill out your nickname and copy "#lg-optimus-g" without the quotes into the "Channels" text entry field. Fill out the "captcha" and join the channel. Eventually someone like Shelnutt2 or IOMonster_work/IOMonster_desk, or someone like them will help you. I'd wager that it's not impossible to root your phone, and that after you root it you should unlock your bootloader and install a custom recovery so that it's impossible for the LG/AT&T OTA updates to break your root, since the LG FOTA utility uses the stock proprietary to flash the OTA.
