Hi guys. Can anyone tell me where I can find the language files in the X10? My language is not one of the languages that is included with the phone and I would like to translate another language and add it to the phone. Is this possible?
Thanks in advance.
use more locale 2 it should help
Thank you. I will try that.
That app, MoreLocale 2 only makes like a locale. I cannot translate the whole phone with it. I want to be able to translate every word in the phone, every string. Does anyone know how I can do this?
Can anyone please reply?
as far as i know the language files would be in system/lib folder

Hello, I am trying to change the language in an app, and I can't find out how. Do I modify the xml files? What do I do?!?!
Are you talking about your own app, or one that you downloaded from the market?

Since You have downloaded it from the market, I presume you are not the developer. You can't change the locale of an application, unless you are the developer of that specific app. The specific language settings and strings have to be hardcoded in the code.
If you are the developer, try the StackOverflow site. [Sorry can't post the link to the specific post, since I am new ]
It depends on the developer whether created the string values for the language that you want to change. If not, you can do nothing.
The situation is that my system language is english ,
but i want some apps are shown in other language, for example german
How can i do this? Localize app is not work, may be because I'm using jelly bean
many thanks!!!
Anyone know about this?
Many thanks!

I've seen several ROMS with the language to be chosen the Portuguese just that when I go in system applications are all in English, and it bothers me a bit. I wonder how to translate an application.
thank you now, and sorry my bad english.
It's really a hard work, you have to decompile the APK, edit their XML file and then recompile it

I have a lenovo a690 that I would like to add Vietnamese to. I have tried morelocale2 but it doesn't really translate much. If anything could show me how to decompile the framework res and the settings and then somehow add the language module into the apk and make a zip file for it, I would sincerely appreciate it. Thanks for your time.
I know basic adb commands and have android SDK set up...but that's as far as my knowledge goes.

I have a Japanese GS3 alpha. Basically an I9305. Anyway I put CM10.1 on it and it only came with Japanese as the base language. My apps are english but the system is all japanese. Is there anyone can explain how to add english to the system. Or how to rewrite the build prompt to include the english language. I'm not new to Android but everyone I've ever used has included English. Help Please.
Try downloading language enabler from the play store.

The rom only included japanese. I've put every location and language app on there.
