Hi, when I use the internet on my X10, for some reason the signal will just vanish and then says ''NO SERVICE'' when I drop down the bar at the top of the screen.
Then it goes back to full signal agen but it also happens when I'm not using the phone as well (just looking at some photo's, listen to some music), so is there anything that I can do? cause I don't want to send it off for repair when the dev's are making GREAT PROGRESS.
Thanks in advance

might be the firmware if its the 026 one then is a "normal" prob
for the sim i usually take it out and then insert it

A coworker of mine had such a problem.. her nokia would do that from time to a time.. cleaning the sim card surface and in her case some clear tape on the back of the sim made it slighty thicker and gave it better contact.
good luck

I don't use WIFI, I use 3G :-( and the signal is dropping out most of the time.
HAHA I just love the OP's nick!!
Edit: Back on topic, I've had the same problem as well, ever since I debranded to the 026 firmware. I'm just guessing its a firmware issue. Waiting for the 2.1 update to resolve it.

Hi there
Im wondering if anyone has had their vibrator stop working for the X10 Mini Pro? And if so do you know where to get one? And where theres a disassembly guide?
Mine seemed to stop a couple of months ago. Havent really been too bothered about it, but since Ive found out how to access the service menu to test it, it appear that mine has died, and wondering how quick/easy it is to fix
It should be under warranty, so that'll be the easiest route (apart from losing your phone for an unspecified amount of time...)
Could you explain how to test the vibrator? I have lost vibration on mine, though I think I have somehow disconfigured it.

Yeah but I rooted and debranded it so byebye warranty. Its not too much of a problem though. Just worried about a phone call or a text I may not hear lol.
Anyway. Service menu:
menu, back, back, menu, back, menu, menu, back on lockscreen. NOTE: it doesnt work if you try entering it using lockbot lockscreen. Default one does though. Service tests, then Vibrator.
I read your thread the other day. Thats pretty much the same way mine has "died" (most apps wanting to vibrate when it does something)
One more to join the dead vibrator club. Greetings from Brazil.
isn't it possible to revoke the rooting and branding? at least the branding should be equal for the se repair team (i think).
Vibrator?

That's a different accessory, add headphones and do a web search. 8)
you shouldnt really call it a vibrator
as for warrenty come on just reinstall the factory firmware be as though you never rooted it lol they wont know.
yey ! just like Iphone, you reinstall the original fw by SEUS and thay don't know you rooted it before.
Or just disassemble your phone and replace with the new one ! (i do it with my Nokia E63 ! it's very easy!)
You may wanna see this
try it with your own risk ! lol
Mine stopped vibrating for texts and calls but still works this was on 1.6 on 2.1 it is fine

Does anyone experience this sort of numbers (Time without a signal). My phone was in one place idling and I don't expect that the signal would be this worse if it was!
My firmware is in signature and country, network provider are by the side if required.
Umm wth never seen that before...

Mm... That's interesting. Looks like I'm the only one with this type of problem!
I got couple of replacement from the service centre and all of them looks the same like this. I even changed the SIM Card for that matter, but nothing changed!
Anyone can help?

I got the same problem. It started about two weeks ago. I have been doings some research and it is not just an issue on the x10. a lot of android phones have the same issue.
Based on what I been able to find on forums it is an app that is causing the battery to drain. It does not allow the phone to go to sleep.
It is very hard to find the app that is causing it unless you know when the problem started and what you installed right before it started.
I hope that helps.

+1 to my theory.
Ok so today out of no where my phone just stopped talking calls, cant make calls, i can recieve texts but i cant send them. I also cant open my text inbox.. for example if i click on a contact inside the inbox, it just says loading and the green icon just spins and does nothing..
i reflashed my same radio i used thinking it was a problem there, but it hasnt fixed anything..
also i noticed that on my lock screen right above the time it does not say verizon wireless anymore, it just shows the time and date.. it used to say it above the clock.
im running bamf and have loved it for quite some time now, until this just happened..

You say you don't see VZW on the lockscreen. Have you check to see if maybe your phone is roaming or out of service area?

haha I can see the reply being "I fixed it.. Had to mail my first born child to Verizon. Phone works again.."
On a serious note, that is odd that it just randomly happened. Did you flash anything new or remove anything?
Somehow one of my lte settings on my banf menu changed by its self.. so it was one of the settings where their was no 3g or 4g and no service either, like the 4th from the top..
either way the phone works again now because i use the cdma auto/prl (i think) one so i always use my phone in 3g, but the internet hasnt came back on yet.. i tried the first choice and the 4g one (cdma/lte auto) or whatever it is and i cant get 3g or 4g..
can anyone recommend me a good radio to use. my phone just has 2.3.4 and bamf gingeremix on it, if i have to be more specific i can to try and narrow the best radio for my phone.. i guess i might as well ask what is the "best" Radio?
What are the significances of the different ones? like range or service quality.. thats the only thing i dont understand..

All radios work differntly with each thunderbolt. best way to test is run each radio for a few days and find the best one for your individual phone. Best of luck
Since your running 2.3.x you will need to make sure you load a MR2 or greater radio. I don't think Froyo radios will not work on GB. I'm no expert on any of this yet still learning the ins and outs. I remember reading that on one of the forums I frequent though.
I'm running 2.11.605.3 RUU and have had excellent signal so far. The list
Just reveiced my new unlocked sk17i, the time and date are lost during that very short time the battery has to be removed, this will be annoying when swapping the SIM which I do when traveling, my trusty x10 does not behave like this and I've never seen this in any smartphone I've had before, can anyone confirm this before I send it back ?
Thanks in advance
If you check automatic date and time in Settings, connecting to wireless networks should immediately adjust date and time. Also, you can try using ClockSync to synchronize your phone.
Thanks, unfortunetly that does not work and never has worked on my old x10 either with Orange UK at least.
Then ClockSync is the way
Thanks, but I need to know if my new mobile is broken or if is normal this smart phone is not smart enough to keep the clock runing for few seconds.

My lww looses also actually date and time when I pull out the battery. It doesn't matter how long the battery is out if the phone. So I think normal reaction from phone.

Thanks everyone, seem like the is a build in unwanted feature, found other examples like here (I cannot paste urls in here directly):

actually every phone has a small battery solder at the motherboard...this small battery is for keeping your time running at 24/7 even if you pull the main battery from your phone....
this small battery only lasted for a years...once the battery is dead, you have to reset the time again after you have remove the main battery...
Okay well my HTC Legend has almost no signal or occasionally 1 bar signal. While on the SAME plan and network, my Nexus S has full bars. This is a twin plan so everything is identical. I havent rooted it yet since it will void the warranty. Will reflashing the radio once its rooted fix the problem?

i'd first check the battery cover, it serves as an antenna too, maybe the contacts are broken or they don't reach each other...

I've tried that. Im pretty sure the points touch each other. Sometimes there is no signal at all while other times there is only 1 bar.
then try uodating your radio, i'm pretty sure you'll find all the info you need in the development section, but if you get stuck, feel free to ask.

Yeah it looks like i need to update the radio. Rooting shouldnt be that hard.
