[Q] List of non-HTC (senseless) builds? - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Sorry if this has been asked before but couldn't find any info. Can anybody provide a list of senseless builds or non-htc.
Ive tried a few but they are all using old kernels etc and have SOD/power issues and such. I like the newer HTC builds as ive found they are quite stable but I want to try a more stable lighter build as the pre-HTC ones seem to be around 80mb and the HTC ones seem to be 200mb.
So can anybody provide a list of non-HTC builds or maybe recommend a decent one they have been testing?

Http://Android.HD2roms.com lists every build available here on xda for the HD2 including whether they have sense or not. This is not my site and props to Any1 who made it. Awesome site to find new and updated builds.
Personally I like shubcraft and hyperdroid v1.6 for senseless roms

I agree with krypto16, shubcraft and hyperdroid v1.6 are very stable. However, If you have an older ROM, you will still experience SOD. I have tried every build and still ran into SOD. It was not until I updated to the latest ROM and everything is smooth, no more SOD. With the latest ROM upgrade, I was able to use Mdeejay's FroyoSense v1.1.
If you have a T-Mobile USA HTC HD2, you can find the latest ROM here:

Please post in General or QnA next time.

The best one is available at htcpedia. It is Pauls repack of the Taiwan update with some goodies that Benhaam added. Ridiculously fast and extremely stable. I've tried Rufianos and Villain 10 and both have their problems. Been using the one from htcpedia for 3 days now without one single problem. It's awesome.
Cronos Droid
Cronos is the best IMO. It's really fast and very stable. By far the best roms I have tried.
Feeyo is just uploading a new version 1.7 based on the official HTC release now which I think which might be up tonight.
Edit: It's been postponed til tomorrow. Still go with the 1.5.1 release its awesome and is still 2.1
feeyos cronos 1.7 has been delayed until tomorrow

definitely the best one 2.1 rom.. nothing added and not overclocked with no problems after 4-5 days using.
I hope someone will make one based on the official 2.1 for hero and removes all the non-sense (see what I did there? )

[Q] Whats is the fastest rom on HTC Hero?

Hi,
i just like to know what is the fastest Roms on HTC Hero (without lags)
can someone tell me or give me list of roms that are fasts please
Thank you in advance!!
I second this...
I haven't flashed a new ROM for some time, but I'm starting to get lots of force closes.
I was going to just upgrade phones, but I just love the simplicity of the CDMA Hero.
So what ROM is the cleanest? No bells & whistles, just reliable, fast, and smooth...
With sense:
Elelinux 2.1 reloaded
Villainrom 13
Maybe herolatte
Aosp:
Floyo
Speedmachine
Froydvillain
If you want to know the difference between Aosp and sense look into one of the infinite threads which have about the same name as this one...

If you mean official Rom, then no. There isn't even an official 2.2 Rom from HTC to the hero.

i agree
If you want speed and incredible battery life (over 4 days on idle and 2 on heavy usage) you can try Villainrom vr13 with adw launcher or with sense itself.
Its clean and runs like a coyote. BIP BIP!
The CronosFroyo or CronosGingerX roms... by a mile...
As for me, the best way to know that is to try out some ROMs because it all depends on how you use your phone(wifi or network, sense or adw launcher, widgets or no widgets...)
So...try some roms

Daily driver suggestions

Hi guys.
This is not a, "which Rom is the best", thread. More like a, just right Rom, thread.
I've been trying to resist the.temptation of root, but now I'm getting restless. In giving in. I want undervoltage. I want WiFi tether. I want sense 3 lockscreen. (forget agile lock. I bought that pos).
Im currently downloading the files needed to root. I d/l'ed bamf 3.0 rc4.9.
I'm interested in a stable gb sense 3.0 Rom or a froyo sense 2.1 Rom with the sense 3 lockscreen ported to it. Preferrably 1 based on mr2. I have been entirely too busy to search for threads for answers and currently don't have internet connection other than my phone data plan, mobile web, and tapatalk pro. So t thought I'd start a discussion based on all the current & updated Roms available to recommend for DAILY DRIVERS. Thanks guys.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk
Gingeritis 3D, uber BAMF, synergy, skyraider, theory roms. All good roms worthy of being dd's. Try em out and see wich one you like the best.
Sent from my TBolt using my f***king thumbs...
bamf 3.0 rc4.9 is not what I call a great daily driver anymore. It's old and based on a leak that's 2 leaks out of date. Stick with ROMs based on the last 2 leaks.
I have been extremely happy with the Synergy nightlies! Only one in the last two months that I would not consider a daily driver and that was pulled, fixed and reuploaded later that day.
I agree with sonami. I have used uberBAMF, Gingervitis 3D, the Theory sense roms, and Skyraider. All current versions are great for DD use.
The skills of these devs (and the themers/modders who support them) is amazing.
Uber BAMF. I think it's the best ROM I have tried so far. Though I haven't tried them all but quite a few of them.
Sent from my HTC Thunderbolt
I've been VERY happy with Synergy ROMs, I've had a whole lot of problems (random rebooting) with others.
If you want a solid sense based one go with Th3roy's M0N0LITHTH3ROY v1.1 It's the smoothest Sense based rom I've used yet.
I'm testing the waters with th3roy's CL3NTH3ROY and it's really nice too but it's not a sense 3.0 based one.
Make sure you flash the MR2 radio first. When I flashed the first time I didn't do this and it created a ton of problems.
ROMs based on the last two leaks don't show voice mail notifications because of a bug in the leaked code. This could be a consideration for those looking for a daily driver.

synergy nightlies are the sh**. ive been running them since they started and i love it. great battery life and incredible performance, plus tons of themeing stuff available. tried bamf back in the rc2 and 3 days and it was decent but synergy blew it out of the water
Thanks for the input guys. I'm using uberbamf pre3. It's working out for me. But keep the suggests coming.

Best ROM for everyday use?

Hi..Its maybe a repost but I'm starting this thread because lots of things changed into these ROMs since the old post.
So which ROM would you reccomend for everyday use?
I personally like CM a lot. But as its not stable yet I can't reccomend it yet.
Other than I like Aura & The Darkside ROM. Which one will you prefer actually?

This is more of a question that will result in an answer that's an opinion. But I am wondering and completely open to ideas. I have used XPLOD and Eternity. But there's tons of Roms out there so I'm wondering which one would be good.
If you could please list the Rom a link and specifications.
Aka
XPLOD:[exampleXDAlink] 4G , WiFi ,3G, 3D , Bluetooth etc.
And a personal comment about the Rom. Thanks in advance

Exactly. You will find so many people that like Variable 'X' ROM, and other's that love Variable 'Y' ROM.
There are so many great ROMs out there. It's up to you when it comes to your favorite. Just try keep trying different ones until you find one that you love.
I love viperROM, MikRunny, InfectedROM Eternity, Warm TwoPointThree, MIUI. That's not every one of my favorites, but those are some.

I am about to do my first root and am looking for a ROM. I have learned that there are MANY different ROMs out there depending on what you want. Is there a known database of ROMs listing each of their attributes?
Thanks
AOSP PB9 from Deck. All working except Camera, 4G nad 3D. HW is about 90%, Wifi, 3G, BT, all is working very good. OC up to 1.94 ghz. Good ROM to try
Sense: inbREDed ROM is smooth and fast, MeanROM is another one. Both have all stuff working without problems. MeanROM is more stock look while inbREDed is a fully themed ROM, ledroid tweaks, 2 MPx in front forced. Also, OP is working on 1080p recording

The two ROMs I use:
Mean ROM: everything works. Uses the Ziggy kernel which is stable with great battery life. Very active dev (new release every few days) and very active user community. Has Beats working without the headphone hiss. This ROM looks mainly stock with some addons included or flashable.
Nocturnal Adrenaline: everything works. Uses the Anthrax kernel which is slightly worse on battery, but a little better in performance. Active dev (new releases about once every week or two) and active community of users. Less stock look since Leedroid tweaks are built in and some of the widgets and apps are inverted.
I flashed version a 2.2 ZR3D rom and it is great. Really sped my phone up!

X2. I am not new to rooting, but just recently finally rooted my Evo3D. Tried several different ROMs. I found that Mean ROM was very stable, very quick and snappy, everything works, and very active dev, as stated before. Many that use Mean are changing to the Anthrax kernel to go even faster, but the Ziggy kernel that comes stock on the ROM works great, and is a huge improvement over stock.
I AM looking forward to an ICS ROM that has everything working. Every time I try a ROM with something as a know issue not working, I think it will be no big deal to do without. Then I find that is the feature I miss the most. So I choose to stay with fully functional ROMs. Just my opinion...
