up to now I used 'https://mail.domain.com' for outlook exchange mail but last week due to upgrades OWA access has been changed to 'https://mail.domain.com:12345/'. Surprisingly, when I tried to modify this on my HD2, the phone just ignores ':12345' so I cannot access mail. Can't find a solution. Anybody out there had the same problem and solved it? thanks.

Hi all.
I am looking for a solution with Exchange.
What do I need: to have XPOutlook emails synchronized in WMInbox(offline messages via ActiveSync) AND access to Exchange server simultaneously(new/online/not synchronized yet with XPOutlook messages). There is a problem, when I synchronize Exchange and XPOutlook, all messaes are moved from Exchange to XPOutlook,so when I setup Exchange access in PDA,I see just new unread emails,if I synchronize XPOutlook via ActiveSync with PDA,I see each other messages. I do need both of them in my PDA.
As I found,I could have either Outlook or Exchange folder in WMInbox, but not these both together. So I got an idea,to synchronize WMInbox with XPOutlook and for Exchange access to use an external app.for WM. So the question is,if there exist something like this,or how to have both accounts in WMInbox?
How is your Outlook connected to Exchange? Messages should be present on both locations, not either.
Outlook downloads all new emails from exchange, emails are collected in PC side pst and afterwards they are deleted from exchange.
Is that what you want (or what the admin forced on you)? Are you using a POP3 connection? If you are using an Exchange connection (MAPI), then your local mail store is in sync with the Exchange online store.
What's the Exchange version and what's your Outlook version?
Outlook is v2007,others I don't know, but I think, the company is mostly up to date. Problem is,that I cannot do anything with Exchange. Well,no POP3 nor IMAP protocol is used.
I am unable to access my company e-mail (outlook 2007) on my Wildfire. I contacted the IT department and they told me that it won't work on Android because they have only set it up to work on Blackberrys. Is their any way of working around this?
Is Outlook 2007 the client on your PC or is it what the actual Exchange server is using?
Its what the exchange server is using. I have to use webmail to check e-mails etc. Each time I try to Sync with my phone I get an error message. To be honest I'm pretty new to outlook but Everyone I've spoken to has said as far as they knew it would work on any phone and couldn't be restricted to a brand ie Blackberrys.
There are multiple ways to get corporate email on android, all of which require the IT department to do some work. One way is to use goodlink which requires a seperate server that is tied to exchange. Another way is through exchange activesync which requires exposing exchange to the internet. Yet another way is setting up a vpn on the phone. I am assuming your IT department only has a BES server set up and that is why they gave you the answer they did.
I've tried almost every option I can think of, and I can't get my outlook exchange email to work with the galaxy s ii.
Has anyone else had this problem, or does anyone know a solution?
Has anyone else using an exchange server found that after a couple of weeks the calender stops syncing both ways but has no trace of errors.
I have been using the default email app to create an exchange account which I have it sync for calenders. The calender auto syncs as soon as I have created a new calender entry or will sync a calender entry made from my laptop when the account is asked to sync again. So both ways work fine.
But I have found that after a couple of weeks the calender sync just stops syncing to the server or from the server. But there is no error in the sync menu so unsure what's going wrong. There is no problem with the exchange server as my laptop never experiences this nor does anyone else at work.
Keep in mind everything was great and no settings have changed to cause this to happen. This has happened twice now, maybe even three times.
This last time I found I accepted a meeting request with touchdown (great email app for exchange by the way) and the email was sent out that I accepted the email and the exchange server was updated as my laptop gained the entry, but it never showed up in my calender entry on my phone.
The way to fix it is to delete the exchange account from the phone and create it again for it to all work properly again.
I will try and get another meeting request to be sent to my phone where I accept it to find out whether this caused the problem... but I have my doubts.

Seems like your Outlook is set to remove mail from the server.
