I'm wondering if you just install a custom ROM on top of it or is there any procedures? I'm using kwbr and looking to switch to VBNROM. I searched but couldn't find an answer.
Also, how do you change APN in WM?

You can install on top of other ROMS but they just remove the previous version
I would go for Task29 before change ROMS. It removes all software and leave you with a blanc phone
Then install a new ROM. This way your sure of a ROM that didnt got mixed up with wrong settings
About the APN just do a forum search .. there are threats explaining wich apn to use

Ok please go easy on me, I have been trying to look for an answer and can't come up with anything
I followed all the instruction here on how to set up a new ROM, installed NATF and everything was working fine
I just did a reset on the phone, but keep getting the following message
Your OS ROM isn't customized for your hardware. Please reflash the proper ROM code or contact the service centre
And it won't connect with Vista Mobile Manager anymore
I went into boot mode and tried to reflash the rom as per the instructions here, but after it hits 100% on the load status bar I just get the same message
Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
I've tried different ROMs, redoing HardSPL and I keep getting that message
Pretty sure I'm screwed
and your phone is raphel?and use things for raphel?
Maybe you write what exactly you do.
And tried flash by SD card.
Sorry
Yes it is a Rapael, and I following the instructions in the Noobs thread in this forum. The ROM I updated was a Rapael ROM
If you have NATF's rom on your phone you need to post in NATF's ROM thread. You will get faster help specific to the rom and we will have less threads to dig through when we need to find something .

Just doing that right now actually
edit: ok looks like it worked, I'm up on the stock at&t ROM now, that is really weird that the NATF ROM just went down like that
Not as weird as you not reading or searching and starting your own thread instead of posting it in the appropriate ROM thread. To just figure the issue out yourself. Mods close this thread please.

@ aruppenthal thank you.

It's a crazy world little buddy
Hi all,
I have rooted my device according to the following method:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1319653
My phone specs are as follows: Stock Rom.
PDA:KJ2/ PHONE:KI4/ CSC:KJ1 (XSG)
Now that I have rooted my device, I would like some help what to do next for optimum performance and to remove the bloatware? I am very new to android world. Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
trawl the rom threads see what you like the look of, im not saying this just becausei use it, but take a look at the litenin rom thread in my sig, thats simple to flash and plenty of instructions, i have found most roms are are based on nothing much being changed unless you go for miui or a cm7 rom,
if you wanna remove bloatware i personally set my phone up n use system app remover, everyone has there own personal choice for roms so its basically take a look at the thread if u like the look of it give it a shot,
there is plenty of help and advice in the stickys and the rom threads if you get stuck.

Thanks a lot Demon_man for the reply. I have noted few things in lightening ROM which need clarification.
1) It is based on 2.3.4 while mine is 2.3.5...should I go back?
2) It doesn't support Right to left languages..They say to install older versions.
3) what is the battery life with lightening ROM?
I shall be thankful for further help.
sorry thought i had updated my sig litnin is now un supported as far as im aware the dev left but this thread has taken over the litnin rom,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1334124

Hey guyz my s2 mobile data not working after updating to ics 4.0.3....plz help
I have the same issue.. with noticing that it was working before but when i changed the ROM it's not anymore ..
Have you tried entering your apn settings manually? Go to mobile networks under wireless and network in settings, click acess point names (I have GB on mine, but should be similar on how to get there on ICS) and enter the apn settings of your carrier manually. (Google apn settings "your carrier")
You have not updated you have flashed a leaked beta buggy test rom .
Check your network settings check your modem .

I think the best thing to do is ignore the answer in post #3, and also ignore the 2100+ posts in other threads dealing with ICS ROMs.
Ah, you've already done that. My bad.
I'm goin' to get back to GB and get the APN's then copy them and install them on ICS hope this works ...

Uh, did you read my post? Just google the apn settings. "apn settings XXX", where XXX is your carrier. No need to revert back to GB.

You need to be rooted. Edit all occurences of build.prop entries "ro.build.OEM_PRESET_APN_LOCK=1" and "ro.build.OEM_PRESET_APN_HIDE=1" to reflect "ro.build.OEM_PRESET_APN_LOCK=0" and "ro.build.OEM_PRESET_APN_HIDE=0" save and reboot.

One way I got around it was via the APN Backup and Restore tool - this does need a backup from an earlier ROM to work, but after that you can use it to delete the APN's and restore the correct ones. It does NOT need root access either.

Wifi is working here on all versions I have built. For you to try install stock Rom and root and then manually remove apks you do not need.

I can confirm that version worked here on several APs. I fixed the DHCP problem so it was tested more than usual.
