I would really like to have a live wallpaper showing waves (with sound?) rolling up on a beach.
I find them in the market but most have negative comments.
Any recommendations.?

i was looking for the same thing.
i'd recommend the one from anderdroid's latest aosphish eclair rom. i tried pulling the beach wallpaper apk from his build and on to my phone running bionix' latest but it kept on force closing. tried both adb push, terminal emulator. and root explorer.
I think it might be Froyo only...

Ive noticed this on this phone and on some 2.1 Roms on the G1. Live Wallpapers wont show up oin the market (such as the Mario Livewallpaper, yes I know its on xda but I wanna know why it wont show up in Market?), Ive heard theres an apk called Market Enabler or Market Unlocker, does this work for anyone? I dont have my vibrant yet to try it.
Not to sure , I had no issues downloading Mario Live wallpaper. Although Im new to Android maybe you can let me know so I can test it on my Vibrant.
I too see the Mario LWP
I also was able to find the Mario Live Wallpaper, but I have been unable to find the game "Teeter" that I had on my EVO...
nevermind ghuys i got my vibrant yesterday and everything shows up normally now, which is weird because when i was at t-mobile using their display vibrant, searching for the mario live wallpaper i couldnt find it...
I have this issue as well. Can anyone find seeds of life?

I have one of the WOOT tablets. I had problems with the apps which needed log in information loaded before accessing the internet so I used the factory reset. This seems to help with that problem but the background now has a beach. I tied the ClockworkMod back up restore found in another thread but I couldn't get it to load on mine. I looked at the properties and it shows that this is still the same "version" that I had originally (3588). It seems to be working now but I was wondering if anyone knows how to get the water and leaves background image back? I can reload all of the apps.

If you are talking about the Live Wallpaper (which i think you are), if you long press on the home screen, choose wallpaper, then Live Wallpaper, it should be in there.
My favorite is the Blades of Grass live wallpaper, but the Autumn Leaves are nice also.
Thank you. I didn't think it was stock.
+1
Thought this one had been overwritten with the OTA update. Thanks!
Here's another question along similar lines-
is there a way to get these stock live wallpapers, AFTER one has flashed a new ROM such as VegaN?
I like some of the ones from VegaN, but that pond effect was kind of cool, it would be nice to put that one back.
Thanks.
I have a Autonooter 3.0 rooted NC. I am looking for the Live Wallpaper Water and can not find it anywhere. It is the one that shows the surface of a pond with leaves. When you touch the screen the surface ripples. Does anyone know where I can get this?
"Waterize" should be available in the Market.
Cheers,
kev
Thanks, that looks nice, but not the one I am looking for.
I believe you are talking about the stock live wallpaper that Google included with Android 2.2 Froyo. Nook just rooted is only 2.1 until B&N provides the rumored 2.2 update (though it will be a stripped down edition). If you flash a newer ROM it will be included.
I have been using Customized Nookie Froyo 0.6.8 by brianf21 for a while now and love it. Much better than 2.1. I am going to try CM7 pretty soon though because I want bluetooth and Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
Look at the samsung galaxy s serious of phones. You cam extract the wallpaper from a rom in the captivate section. It's called leaves I believe.

I am running the Phiremod variant (version 5.2) of CM7. It is on there and set as my wallpaper.
This instance, by the way, appears to be very stable. The live wallpapers are fine. my only (minor) complaint is that some map-based apps die on startup. I have tried many different LCD Density Settings, but I think it does not like the clocking: Phiremod is overclocked to 1.1, I believe.

Do you have root explorer? If so, can you pull the apk and post it? I keep forgetting every time I'm at home. Or op, send me a pm and I'll get an email, then I won't forget.
I would post it, but I don't have access to a pc with internet, and I can't upload from phones app or browser.

Evening fellow SGS3 owners, after having a (and being a die hard) iPhone 4 user. I finally saw the light in in using an operating system that allowed alot more than changin the wallpaper...... anyways I have just got a SGS3 in white which is awesome ^^
Couple of problems though after playing with a friends galaxy S2.
1) I've noticed that when in the app menu there is a tiny bit of lag when flicking through screens. Is that to make the screen flow better? The s2 just flicks through as soon as your fingers move.
Secondly (for any GTA3 lovers out there) I was copmparing my phone to a friends Onex and I have the PS2 textures on my version but he has the Xbox textures on his. Do you think this will get updated as that will bug me.
3) I have had the odd Applciations crash which I have never had before in iOS. Can that be a fault with the phone or is it normal?
4) The gallery app looks Pants compared to the S2 version, is there any way I can make it look the same?
Thanks alot!
Oh and on a side not if I want to change my mind I have a few days to change to a blue one if i prefer but I havent seen one. Anyone got any good piccies?
Jonny
1) Some android phones do some don't, depends on whats running and whats installed. Custom roms should help.
2) The one x has a tegra 3 optimised GTA so it will have the better textures, i don't think the normal version will be updated as the better graphics are exclusive to tegra 3 at the moment.
3) Its fairly normal , in my opinion android apps seem to crash more than on iOS.
If you experience lag a lot or random force closes constantly reboot your phone (may have to more than once). If problems still persist with app force closing then uninstall and reinstall the app, if it still force closes there is a high possibility the app has not been updated to support ice cream sandwhich or possibly the exynos quad core. The gallery app is something you have to live with unless you root (equivalent to jailbreak but at the same time much more) and put stock Google android or someone gets a custom rom and changes the framework of touchwiz. Also to fix your scrolling issue and make you android experience smoother you can download nova launcher or apex launcher from the play store to get the ics Google feel.

Point 4) install QuickPic from market
http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alensw.PicFolder
Is the best picture viewer you can get. It is free.

Actually the statistics show that ios apps crash more often than Android apps. Google it if you don't believe me.

Why? Because the OS is informing you that it crashed ? On iOS you don't even know this because Apple considered that the user didn't need to know, instead there's a crash report sent to Apple behind your back. Intratech is right, look it up on google and you'll see that iOS apps crash more.

I have an evo 3d rooted running android 4.0.3 (sprint version) S-off, it's my first smartphone so it has been a learning experience. My problem is basically with non htc live wallpapers force closing when i attempt to change the settings for them. At one point my Htc live wallpapers app WAS frozen because i never used it but I fixed that with TBU. I have been messing with this issue for about 2 hours with es file explorer and looking online for similar problems, i checked the FAQ here and couldn't find anything. I did see some info regarding logcats and I'd be more than willing to try that route to track the problem down. Again all htc live wallpapers are 100% functional, i tried using live wallpaper picker but had some install problems and never got past the wp selection screen. Any help is greatly appreciated... (all apk's were placed in system/app/ with the permissions changed)
Edit: I got live wallpaper picker to work without FC, now the only problem is the settings for non factory lwp's causing FC.
