Titanium with Macnut R10 - Vibrant Themes and Apps

Having some trouble with Titanium backup and Macnut R10. The internal memory wiped which we all know so after the install I went to the market and got Titanium Backup. Then I copied my registration file and the old Titanium folder (backed up on ext SD) to the internal memory over the freshly installed titanium folder and it wont see all my backed up apps. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

And this has what to do with themes and apps?

My titanium does read any application or the backup that I had/...

Really? Unless I am unaware of another reason to use Titanium Backup, I'm trying to reinstall all my APPS. I figured I would put it in "Themes and Apps" since it is an
APP that restores other APPS to prevent 45 people telling me wrong place.

Here is what I would do. Dowload titanium backup,
Install Rom manager,
Backup your SD card
create EXT2 partition >> This will format your SD card
Then use restore missing apps option in titanium backup to reinstall all your apps.
Doing this will enable your phone to use SD card to store apps. Rejoice

i dont think that backs up everything though.
i want it to back up to a PC or something aswell, as the SD card is what i want to format
As far as i know MyBackUp Pro creates .zip files on the sd card.
So after the backup we could transfer this .zip files to the PC and "format" the phone?

Doas Titanium also backup my contacts?
Yes. You could backup everything to sd card, copy backup folder to pc and wipe everything. Then reflash rom, copy the backup folder back to sd card and reinstall titanium. Titanium is the most complete backup you'll get on your x10 till bootloader is cracked. Another method would be the custom recovery, but i didn't try it out.

Can't you just use root explorer to copy every single system file to your SD, then copy the backup from SD to your PC....???? I would imagine it would be as easy as copying all the files/folders in your system root folder.
MyBackup sucks dogs bollocks - it's no better than the one included...
I backed up using the included one and Titanium, and did a restore from both - seemed to get everything back on as required...
For Apps backup.. you can use File Expert. It backed up all apks installed to sd card...
Contacts u can sync with Sony Ericcson. For messages i dont have an idea...

[Q] Titanium Backup

Titanium works in its own way. It was not influenced by other application. It only back up the apps and user data. If you wanna link it to Link2sd then you should link it by yourself after you restore the apps. Cheers.

Titanium Rocks!
Link2SD can autolink. What I used to do when I restored from Titanium is force titanium to install into internal memory; then Link2SD would move them to the Ext4 partition like magic. Worked perfectly well for me, no need to move anything manually...
I now use S2E and do the same thing. Remember these scripts (A2SD, S2E, Link2SD) all trick Android in thinking /data/app/* is internal but actually they mount that location to the external SD Ext4 partition.

Probably your backups are in the internal storage and Titanium is searching in its default storage in the microSD card (or the contrary).
Search in the Titanium Backup settings, there's one option which lets you find the right right path / search automatically for it in your device.

I believe your backups are actually external, but I'd bet you flashed a cm rom, correct? If so, the mounts are different unless you go into the setting under I believe its security (correct me if I'm wrong) and check the use external storage and reboot. If the rom you're using doesn't have this option, go thru preferences in titanium and search for the on both storage points.
I couldn't seem locate it.

[Q] Question regarding clean ROM install

Hi, this is a dumb question, but I want to do a clean install of Jellybeans 14 (or 15 when it's released).
After the install, is it advisable to restore apps/settings through Titanium backup or a similar application? Or do you guys reinstall all apps from Google Play and reset all settings manually instead and start fresh?
Thanks!
A lot of people do it both ways.
I personally use Tibu but only restore the apps. There were a few apps I used to restore data with the apps and after having bugs with those apps I just decided to use Tibu to install the apps without data. I do have a separate backup folder that has full app and data backup just in case I would ever need them.
Most people recommended using Tibu to restore apps only but each phone is different and you may have no issues when restoring apps + data.

I usually restore data on games and a few other apps that are difficult or time consuming to set up. Otherwise, I just restore apps.
Thanks everyone!
I have a couple more questions:
Do I have to install a ROM downloaded into the external SD card, or should it be installed off internal memory?
If I do SD Swap, which directory should I download the ROM into?
Thanks!

I always put the ROM I am flashing onto my external SD but thats just cause I have more room there and like to keep a few different roms. As for SD swap the only thing I know about it is that it absolutely will not work on AOSP ROMS, but for flashing I dont think it will affect anything. I could be wrong though.
