I have a couple of WiFi connections saved on my phone.
Is there a way to copy these wifi connections' passwords or to back it up?

This seems like it should be a base feature, but I can't find it anywhere.
Whenever someone connects to wifi the system stores that connection and their password indefinitely.
Even if you try to make the wifi settings forget that particular network while you're on it, it disconnects from it.
Is somehow caching and automatically re-connecting upon any disconnect to the nearest and best wifi network an auto-feature in android?
I would like it so it's simple.. you can connect to a wifi network but the system does not remember the password at all, if you're disconnected you stay disconnected until you manually reconnect.
What am I looking for?

afrer I flashed my nexus 5, I connected to my Google Account but my wifi networks have not been restored. Does anyone know why this could be? The wifi settings have been saved before.

Recently I did a factory reset of my Verizon Galaxy S4 (SCH-1545), proceeded to root with towelroot, install safestrap and add some file managers, Titanium Backup and so on. The problem is that since doing this, the phone no longer remembers wifi passwords or saved networks at all. Wifi works fine up until I turn it off or I get out of range of an access point, then it forgets the existence of the network and I have to connect and add the password again.
I checked wpa_supplicant.conf and it appears to save the info for a single network at a time. When wifi is lost or turned off, the file is cleared out, so it forgets the network.

Check to make sure you see this set to false in your build.prop
ro.securestorage.support=false
My University has several wifi hotspots with always the same Network, so you have wifi on the whole campus, but it seems to me if I move between two Routers or something, I loose Internet. I am still connected to wifi but without Internet. Anyone experiencing this too? Any Settings that could help? It is so annoying because you don't see that you don't have Internet Access until you try to send a whatsapp or something.

my mate 10 won't reconnect to saved hidden wifi , when I turn off and turn on wifi , the saved hidden wifi network not shown in available networks, it's in saved network but phone never reconnect to it, I must add network again and again.
there is not any problem with any other brands like Samsung,apple, asus ,...
its very disappointing.
any help?

Update1: this issue is when i use static ip. changing ip to DHCP will solve the problem. strange...
