[MOD][MORPH]Bionix Compatable>Stock Battery *PLUS* Stock Battery with Accurate - Vibrant Themes and Apps

I threw together these morphs because I just wanted the Stock Battery on Bionix I have included the Stock Battery and also Stock Battery with Accurate percentage. I know a few others asked for it also, so here ya go.
INSTALL>>>
Download Battery of Choice
Open Metamorph
Choose 'Unzip/Extract new theme'
Select file
Apply All
Enjoy!

Thanks. Work great!

Thanks man. This is what I was looking for. Glad you put it together

Any chance for some Froyo love on this? Out of all the battery mods, I like this one the best. Thanks!
Edit --
Never mind. I was able to do it by going here http://circle.glx.nl/ (UOT Kitchen). Thanks anyway. For anyone else here it is if you want it. Only works on deodexed and tested on only JL4 deodexed. Not responsible if you screw up your phone! Do a nanroid FIRST!!!

Accurate battery for new leak or R3

Very newbie question I know....
Can anyone point me to the process for manually integrating battery mods into the framework.apk as for the above listed builds current morphs do not work. The framework file has apparently changed. I know where to copy the actual icon/image files but am not sure what other files need to be moved/copied. Also in this instance would I need to also sign the resulting framework.apk?
anyone? .....
Eugene has to make a version of his rom with the batt mod... You can't decompile and recompile a themed framework....

I'm also looking for a accurate battery for the new leaked software, this inaccurate icon is driving me crazy.

I am running this one (last one in list) with Eugene's Hybrid R3 ROM right now, flashed the file through ROM Manager and it works perfect:

I also downloaded "Battery Life" from the Market cause you can set it up to show battery temp also.
+1 for the accurate battery mod for new leaked vibrant firmware...
It's one of the most useful mods in my opinion..

I just got this working, but it is part of an "all in one" mod
I pulled the framework-res.apk and made it flashable with Clockwork
and is attached to this post
the images in this mod are from the Stock Battery mod found in the below thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=758797
I get a fc when I flashed the stock accurate battery mod on the leaked firmware, something like android.media and then android.phone. I cleared the cache, I also have the battstatt widget running not sure if that has anything to do with it or not

Unless I'm mistaken, those battery images were from one of my original mods, here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=758797
I'm glad you like it, and got your own version working for the new JI2 firmware, but I spent several days tweaking all those stupid png images to be just right, and people that don't give credit are just another reason why I'll probably never release anything again.
Sigh, such a wonderful community, =(

I just flashed this one and got multiple FC's, cant even get to home screen.

yes, they are your images I originaly had a longer post with a link to your thread
but I edited it because the battery mod was part of a larger package of mods,
and one of the mods (mobileAP) is broken on the leaked firmware.

[Q] What ROM to start with?

Hello All,
I just rooted my Vibrant last night, and installed ROM Manager/Clockwork recovery mod. The last thing I did was do a backup of my device in case I either don't like the ROM or need to switch back. Anyhow, needless to say I'm a newbie to all of this. I've been trying to do some research, but I see an endless amounts of ROMS. I've seen some videos on Euegene's roms and some of the team whiskey ROMs. I was hoping you guys might be able to give me some tips or recommendations on what ROMs to start or stick with. Lastly, if I installed a ROM what happens to my purchased apps from the market? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Well here is ALL personal choice. You will notice that somethings will work for you and somethings will not work for others.
I would start with Nero V3. It is a Froyo (2.2) ROM based on Gingerbread (2.3). Again it is not Gingerbread.
Why start with this one and not Nero V4.1??
Well because Nero V4.1 has voodoo lagfix installed by default and TRUST ME you don't want to start messing around with voodoo if you are a newbie. Everyday there is someone whining about their phone not working because of voodoo.
But mainly inform yourself about every ROM and try them out, people flash ROMs all the time just to try them out so I recommend doing the same. And don't try to break your head trying to know everything it will get to you later on (like Over Clocking, Kernels, Under Voltage, etc.)
And you can download all your purchased apps again from the Market (data does not save this way). I highly HIGHLY recommend Titanium Backup, it will restore your apps just the way the used to be before (with data), just make sure not to restore system apps just third party apps.
When I first started flashing roms I tried axura just because the theme over it was like nothing I have ever seen before. At the time appearance was more important to me vs performance. Ever since that I have stuck with axura because its got looks and performance especially now.
Its all personal choice. I recommend that u read the first post of the roms and see the features list. Then look at the screenshots to see if u like the look of it. Finally just read some of the recently posts in the thread of current problems and see if u live this those bugs. Enjoy your rom hunt. To me its the most fun part!

I believe stock JL5 froyo is the way to go.
Do you want touchwiz?
Do you want a themed rom?
What is important to you.. what are you hoping for?
If you want performance and stability I think Nero V4.1 (yes, with voodoo) is the way to go. There is nothing tricky about voodoo... just know that it will convert your file system (nothing is lost) to EXT4 which is MUCH faster. This is what the Galaxy S comes with stock. It is also what popular roms like CyanogenMod do.
The one caveat is you MUST disable it before you flash something else over it to be safe. You simply go to CWR and disable on next reboot.... that's it. Takes about 5-10 minutes to convert and there is a voice telling you what's happening while it boots.
Nero V4.1 is going to be very popular so themes, etc will be abundant soon.
I also REALLy like Axura roms (i am one of the few on here who seem to be willing to give both developers a lot of respect). I was one of the very few who noticed data drops on the latest axura .9 rom though. With it I also used voodoo and both it and nero 4.1 were almost identical quadrant scores 1520+.
That said, quad scores mean nothing... what is important is BOTH fly. I do like the animation/theme of axura a lot more. It comes with a lot more launchers to choose from. Some consider this bloat, some like the options.
I am using Nero 4.1 with voodoo and ADW EX and I do not think anyone on this board could be as happy with their setup. I'll leave it at that.

Touchwiz is what your phone is running now which includes the launcher, icons, samsung apps and such. Its basically Samsung's overlay to Android just like Htc uses Sense and Motorola uses Moto Blur. I personally use Nero 4.1 with Touchwiz just because I like some of Touchwize's elements even though I use Launcher pro to customize to my delight. I can tell you once you start flashing it becomes and addiction. Also don't forget that if you back up your stock rom and load a froyo rom, you cant just go back to eclair without flashing an eclair kernal first. Read up on that. Good luck!!!
I strongly recommend Version V4. 1

I'm happy to report I'm now running Nero4.1. Thank you guys!!! . I can see how this can be addicting (flashing different roms) haha.
Awesome man, be sure and enable voodoo for a much snappier phone. Just remember to disable it (via CWR, or the app Voodoo toggle) before you flash anything.
Worst case you forget, you can just use ODIN (recommend the alt method in my noob guide because it keeps root).

Thanks again for the help, and tip! I just downloaded voodoo toggle. This ROM is awesome! By the way, if i wanted to switch to another ROM let's say Axura's ROM would I need to flash my phone back to stock or can I just load that ROM up? I just didn't want to miss any steps lol. Anyhow, thank you all again!

Android robot battery mod icon

Hey everybody! I made this android robot battery mod icon using uot with the gladiatrix 3 b2 framework and gingerblur 4.5. so only flash this if you are on gladiatrix3 b2 or gingerblur 4.5 !!
I have tested these different uot battery icons on my phone which is an ATT atrix with 1.83 firmware numerous times and they work perfect if done the correct way!!This will not make your phone do 1% percent battery increases/decreases it just will give you a new battery icon! Thats it! If you want the 1% mod look for it in the apps and themes thread here! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1105272&highlight=battery+mod This is to be flashed through Tenfars CWM only!! If you guys want more? I will make more through UOT as there are many different kinds besides the robot.
Heres the link for the mod for gladiatrix3 b2!! http://www.mediafire.com/?jkoodi47o3ui56u
Link for those on gingerblur 4.5 http://www.mediafire.com/?9u2gl9n9bmsyl4h
Note: I am not responsible for any kind of damage or data loss from flashing this!! flash at your own risk!!! Always backup before flashing anything as well!! Enjoy!
Heres a pic!!!

I wish! I just made a thread about that myself! I dont actually make these! They're from a site called UOT but alot of people were having problems with installing these. So I fixed it all up so you can just flash it like normal through tenfars CWM and you're done no work involved with matching up frameworks and fixing errors and things of that nature! These are cool but as I said alot of people ended up soft bricking and such when attempting to do it on their own. So I wanted to make it as easy as possible for everyone to have these batt mods! Thats all! If anybody out there can do a skull batt mod I'd greatly appreciate it!
I may do the dogs paw one next it kinda caught my interest!

[Q] Rom Opinions

Now I know opinions are like a**holes.... everybody has one, but lets see if we can cut through the BS and get real answers with real experiences.
And I also know there are always threads like this coming up but I have not found an answer searching that I like.
Now for my story, I have a Xoom and and EVO that I have been using for quite some time now and am personally good with ROMs that have bugs and ROMS that are experimental, but my question has to do with my girlfriends Vibrant. I have had her on the team whiskey roms in the past with pretty good luck but right now I am just looking for the most stable and non glitchy ROM out there, I know there has to be one that people are using for daily drivers without bugs and whatnot with minimal upkeep that she can use and not get mad at me for something not working right
I know the ICS roms out now are not the answer as there is just too much unknown right now to create a stable release with no bugs and EVERYTHING working so can someone point me to a couple ROMS to try that advertise everything working the way it should (with the exception of going back to stock and anything with touchwiz)? Thanks in advance.
Fishman's Bionix-V Mod. He's done you the service of baking an Odin flashable file for it too making it really quick to swap over and be rooted up and ready to roll.
If not his maybe give one of Moped Ryder's ROMs a go. I only lean on Fishman's because I run "stock" Bionix-V and it's by far my favorite for a flash it and forget it kind of ROM (although I like tinkering with different kernels). Fishman's comes with Bali's UV kernel so it's good to go for a daily driver out of the box.
Fishman's Bionix Mod for me too. It's very stable, great battery life (for me), GPS locks in a few seconds and has T-Mobile WiFi calling which for me is important.
EDIT: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1441976
I know you said no ICS but passion v13.1 is very stable. I ran it for 3 months no issues before I switched for something with more customization available.
SGH-T959 ICS Gummy 1.2
Thanks guys I will give fisherman's a go
so the problems I am having with fishmans rom is that the scrolling on the apps is very laggy, and the web is very slow... new radio? ideas? i didnt do the odin flash but rather did a factory wipe and loaded the rom wiped dalvik and wiped cache let the rom bake for approx 10 min. how can I verify this, I searched and found lots of posts about voodoo lagfix but there is nothing like that for my other phones and tablet so I am not too familiar with it. is it a setting in recovery? Or do I need to flash a zip?
thanks for the help

You can check Voodoo in CWR. When you boot into Recovery there's an option for 'voodoo' and in there you can check all of that. If you're running Fishman's Bionix Mod it should already be enabled by default though.
Another thing you can try is use something like the Spare Parts app, or go into the Display option in Settings and turn all the animations to Fast. That won't necessarily help with app scrolling, but it makes the overall feel of the ROM "snappier".
I also added the following line to my local.prop file in the data directory (/data/local.prop):
ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=1
Check XDA and you can read a little bit that it helps with the redraw of the homescreen, and I noticed a difference. But use something like Root Explorer or ES File Explorer (my fav) and you can make those changes to the file and then reboot.
If you do make that change, keep in mind that using something like Bladebuddy will overwrite anything you add.

AOKP Port in Progress

See my thread in the Dev section for downloads and Instructions: [ROM][AOKP][PORT] AOKP for the DX2 and the MX2 [8/4/12]
I have been working on an AOKP port for the Droid X2 and the Milestone X2. It's a port of the milestone 6 AOKP build available for the Atrix 4G (made by Th3Bill), using DzK's CM9 Alpha 5 as a base. Thus far everything seems to be running smoothly. I got it to boot after probably a good half hour of playing with the resolution in an AOKP animation I found over on RootzWiki.
I ran into some problems with the phone app refusing to show up, but eventually googled it and found that it was the modded contacts apk doing it. It still has a few things I should probably iron out such as some minor graphical glitches on first boot, and the section in settings for the 4G data crashing the settings app. In my probably fifteen hours of testing this out on my MX2 I've had one random reboot, everything else seems to be about where CM9 Alpha 5 is in terms of stability.
Anyway my point in posting this is: is there anything anyone would want me to add? Like a cool wallpaper, a cool theme, or even some cool mods. For example, I personally like the soft keys with the hard keys remapped to music controls that can be found over in the dev section. That specific mod should be left out, but is there anything you've seen somewhere that's for the DX2 or the MX2 or even a universal mod that you guys think would be nifty to have preinstalled? I've seen that there's at least a nearly fully functional version of Google Now for ICS, would anyone want that added in?
Please note that I take no credit for anything used in this project. All I'm doing is combining files to make something I think will be cool. If in the future you feel the urge to praise someone, praise DzK, Th3Bill, or any of the other developers I may or may not use stuff from.
awesome, i will be watching to see how this goes. Good Luck.
I know of a feature that you could investigate. Having 1% battery increments on the battery indicator.
I'll be watching this closely, if you need a guinea pig I would be willing to help

Yeah man, I second this. Would love to see 1% increments too.
I'll see what I can do. Wasn't there something like that for blur over in the dev forum? Might have to take a look at that.
hmm...it might already be there, just need to wait for my battery percentage to drop to confirm.
Edit: Or maybe not, just played music full blast through an unpowered speaker for a good 10 minutes, didn't drop one percent. So either I'm getting incredible battery life or it's still at 10% increments...well back to work.

i believe either in the systemui.apk or framework-res.apk youll hafta set it up to show battery increments of 1%, but i couldnt tell you if its within either of those or another apk. youll hafta google it.
Wait what is this about 4G data? The DX2 doesn't have 4G because it doesn't have the hardware for 4G.
The atrix has 4G. I think he is talking about a problem with the port because of that.
Sent from my MB870 using xda app-developers app
Yeah, the Atrix has 4G and the settings for it show up here but do not work because we do not have 4G.
In the way of the 1% battery I think I got it (at least while not charging), but I can't check yet because I tried to just replace framework-res.apk and it didn't like it when I renamed the old one before copying over the new one...so sbf'ing now and will check after I flash my updated zip.
Okay, I got 1% battery working, as long as it's left on the default battery icon option in settings.
On a slightly different note why does this forum have a requirement of 10 posts before you can post external links? I still need four posts before I can post links to this thing.
Well I want a download link so reply to all of my post, or go to general hangout bs thread and post about your day. Lol

You do need to flash the ICS GApps.
Oh and forgot to mention you should wipe /data, /cache, and /system and dalvik-cache prior to flashing, and wipe dalvik and fix permissions after the flash as well. I'm not sure if those last two are necessary but I always do it out of habit from my old phone and I'm not sure if that was affecting the generally good results I was having.
Thanks, I usually wipe the big three anyways. What does fix permissions do? It won't hurt anything if I do it, even though I might not need to?

Fix permissions shouldn't hurt anything. If you running some special mod that requires special permissions in /system than it can mess with that mod but other than that I have never heard of it causing problems.
(Here you go, get one more post in) What are the advantages of AOKP opposed to say CM9 or even MIUI?
Edit: and if this is even semi stable and working shouldn't it be moved on over to And Dev section?

AOKP is actually very similar to CM9, based on it in fact, the major difference there is that AOKP has a few more customization options in it. It has a whole section in settings called "ROM Control" through which you can change a whole slew of things. Most of those things are related to the interface but there are a couple of sections with some cool performance tweaks, like you can set custom values for the sd card speed tweak, you can have it zip-align unaligned apk's at boot, fix permissions at boot and other things. AOKP also has some other performance tweaks set up that are integrated into the system.
MIUI I haven't actually used on this phone, or ever on ICS, but as I understand it MIUI is more about looks and being able to theme it than it is about performance. AOKP and CM9 are more centered around providing great performance with an interface that is simple and clean. MIUI is much more flashy. It's also much easier to theme MIUI than it is to theme CM9 or AOKP. Or so I've heard I've never actually tried theming it.
The only reason I didn't put this in the Dev forum was because it required 10 posts to put up a new thread in there. Actually, I think this post gives me that 10 posts. Should I go ahead and put a thread up in there with instructions, links and all that?
Edit: Meant to ask another question, has anyone tried my DX2 version, I only have an MX2 and have only tested that. Would like to know if the DX2 version works.
Very in depth answer, thank you. But yes, I would move it over to dev and let some more people. Im away this weekend but if no x2 users have tried this by mon or tue ill give it a go.
Edit:Nope I thought about it and I don't know about posting again over in dev, they might get on you for double posting. I'd contact a mod and ask them to move it for you and rename it. Just my opinion.
