Hello all, what differences are there between these 2 firmware
I had at first firmware from carrier 3 mobile DK android 2.1
Then changed to firmware from carrier Telia DK also Android 2.1, same phone same android only differ carrier. I know that every carrier have their own apps included. But the generic android apps. Like calender, Calculator, SemcPhone.apk semcbrowser, semcContacts.apk. are there any difference. Since from both carrier they are from same android 2,1 fir x10 mini pro u20i

I live in Brazil, and have debranded my X10 mini pro using a generic UK firmware. What leaves me puzzled is how my phone will be treated when the 2.1 update will be available - will I get an update as a UK or as a Brazilian debranded phone? Does SE check it by software version (UK) or by location - IP or operator (Brazil)? Any ideas?

Fisrt of all, i installed a non branded version of the FW R2BA026 and i get it from the decrypted roms in this forum, all h e other FW that i installed have the option for automatic APN configuration, exept for the R2BA026 for X10a, is there a possibility to get this FW from another, older, or from some FW of US???
Thanks...
You could just enter the APN info manually no?

i've done that, but when it does automatically, had a lot more data in the configuration.... beside if is a non branded firmware, shouldn't it come with auto config, for operators? and i'm in Chile (Latino America) but i cant get any fw to just update through SEUS and get the 026 for x10a... that's why i'm asking...
As far as I know, unbranded phones do not come with all the preconfigured APIs (there would be a crapload of them). The branded ones do.
SMS, MMS and 3G work after manual input of the API settings? If yes then why worry?

I really don't understand your concern? If you manually set up your APN and it works fine then why do you care? Furthermore I wouldn't expect generic UK software to have automatic APN configurations for every operator in Chile. Most people face this same "issue" from other countries too, like here in Canada, it's easily resolved and I think this thread is unnecessary and misleading, esp in the Android Dev. :S
well, all the non branded firmware beside 026 have the auto config option enabled... and i'm not installing the uk generic, it suppose to be one 026 generic for x10i , and another for x10a, when you install any of the other generic(non branded) firmware u can use the auto settings for APN, but in the x10a R2BA026 its disabled this option, doesn't make you think maybe it's a branded version?, that's why i care.....
And beside, the auto config APN get all the config from the carrier, it doesn't come in the firmware. (correct me if i'm wrong)

i have the factory firmware backed up for AT&T USA i believe its R2BA016.
let me know.
Wait a minute, there's such a thing as a "non branded version of the FW R2BA026"????????
I thought 26 was only available for the x10i?
How do I get it for x10a?
I am currently using NTT Docmo Xperia x10 on android 1.6. Its model is SO-01b and i want to upgarde to android 2.1 and unlock the phone as well. But i am not clear which version to use , nordic or global. I am not sure but on according to wikipedia nTT docomo so-01b is based on x10a.
Please someone help me if anyone could give me suggestion.
My Docomo X10 is flashed to global generic 2.1 and running just fine.
Just don't forget to write down your APNs so you can put them back.
You want the "bizho" one, since that's the network where your internet fees are capped.
Thanks for the response gtkashi.I am now in Nepal and want to make the phone work here in Nepal by upgrading to android 2.1. Could u please clarify me whether flashing would make the phone sim free.
it won't. You're just updating the software, not unlocking the phone.
Get in contact with nttdocomo to see what their policies/costs for unlocking your phone are or try to see whether there's some shady services for unlock codes by now.
Global to Docomo firmware 2.1
With this upcoming update for Docomo, if you currently have global 2.1, how would we "instruct" SEUS to flash the Docomo firmware? Would we need to edit some *.prop ?
Personally I'm hoping someone would extract the firmware itself so that the flasher tool can be used to overwrite the existing one.
Either way, 30 min til Nov 10!

Hey everybody, I'm a bit fed up of waiting for ICS to be released for my mini pro (SI 1249-4852 - UK generic)
I've rooted my phone and can edit the build.prop file to trick SEUS (or whatever it's called now) into downloading an update, but what should I change my SI to?
Are there any generic UK QWERTY ICS roms?

Here is official generic version of firmware update 4.1.B.0.587 for XMP.
CDA SI number is 1249-7380 - Generic CE3 WORLD

Thanks for that. Will I be okay to use that on my UK mini pro? It says Central Europe. Also, what's the difference between Central Europe 1, 2 and 3?

Hi All,
I have just flashed the Generic AU rom for my Z2, and would like to know if I can now just flash the baseband from my Telco's AU rom. That way I would have the best of both worlds - no bloat and a fine tuned baseband.
Cheers
Doesn't make much sense to me. The D6503 (and 02) is a global model, I believe that all firmwares have the same baseband. For example: The latest firmware 23.1.A.1.28 has the 8974-AAAAANPZQ-00038-40 baseand. The US, GEL and ES firmwares they all have the same baseband number. (I've tested them all)
Ah no worries, thanks for the reply. I've only ever had Samsung and htc phones and the different carriers in Australia all had different radios on the same phone.
I can flash with impunity now, and that makes me happy!
