Touch Calendar.
I find that it's the best way to view your calendar on such a small screen.
I've tried pretty much every calendar app going until I settled for this one.

But SeamanPlayer is slow, isn't it?
Tried it with X10 Mini, and X8 under 2.1 ROMs, they're both laggy and uninstalled.
Good ROMs/apps are stable, fast, small, not turning up unintended with low power consumption without many updates, right?
GTunes is an example, I used to download songs with it with old versions, while new updates simply add ads, and that's why I abandoned it.

Remove that task killer, it slows your phone and drains your battery. Froyo has an incorporated task killer, it keeps active apps that require to be active and closes others. If you really want to force close an app you can do that from the menu.
It also depends what other apps you have installed. Some slow your phone by running in background.

wave blaster....thats it & updated the some google apps among which maps, thinkfree office took max internal space 11 & 15mb respectively..now 84mb free..any good device optimizing app available???
any further suggestions???Tell me guys if i root then will i able to remove those pre loaded apps permanently???& move the needed ones to the sd card???
try supermanager, clear your cache and there is a limit that you can go with an unrooted phone to make it faster.its like applying the brake while u accelerate.to release the brake u have to root and install an oced kernal or a custom rom.
if u dont wish to root please do not complain....stock rom is built for stability only not for speed.

Any good samaritans willing to walk me through my first upgrade?

I am running:
Android 2.2.1
Baseband 1.16.00.0223r
Kernel 2.6.32.21 bamf 4.42-g64d4fb1-dirty by adrynalyne
Build 1.13.605.7_Das_BAMF_1.5-remix
Software 1.13.605.7
I would like to upgrade to either 1.7 or 1.8 Das Bamf. Unsure as to which radio or kernel to upgrade if any. Definitely looking for battery life and few bugs.
The original rooting was done over a month ago and I was blown away by the complexity and never understood the process.
Today I am more knowledgeable but still uncomfortable doing my first upgrade by myself (hence why I am still running 1.5).
I have already done the Rom Manager Manual Backup. Also ran Titanium Backup Pro (but not sure the settings/preferences on my program were correct).
Would somebody be willing to talk me through it?
If so, please email me at [email protected]. I will then gladly give out my phone # or call you.
Thanks in advance for your assistance/consideration...
Anthony
To be honest the hard part is already done the radio you're on will work fine and the kernel will flash with the new rom. Once you load the rom on your sd card you can install it via rom manager and choose to wipe data and cache.

The reason I am terrified of screwing it up is because I have so many apps installed.
I would prefer not to lose everything and start over if at all possible.
The other reason is that I am not sure that my setting on TB Pro are correct.
So, for the 10-15 minutes at most, I would prefer a little hand holding vs the hours and hours of starting from scratch.
Think of it as riding a bicycle. I am about to remove my training wheels after one more ride with help...

Hey man, I haven't had any problems restoring using Titanium Pro...
Open the app, go to Backup/Restore
Hit your menu button and select "Batch"
Then I just select "Run" for "Backup all user apps + system data"
Then when you flash new rom you can just do a batch restore
This has worked for me and saved all my progress and settings, but I am not an expert and thus cannot guarantee success but I can confirm this has worked for me.
If titanium has backed it up its safe.
THUNDERBOLT
You may loose your angry birds lvls and the like
THUNDERBOLT
I have been flashing so much roms and reading thread after thread. It seems it is sugested not to use rom manager to install the new rom but boot in recovery instead. As far as doing a batch restore in titanium.. do not restore system apps only your program apps. If u restore system apps it will screw up ur newly installed rom. And restoring apps. Through TB will sometimes not install saved data. Ex. Game lvls, passwords, etc..u will also lose all sms and contacts.. try my backup pro for apps and SMS. Make sure contacts is backed up with your Google account. Some devs also recommended app monster in the market to back up apps. I use TB basically to freeze apps

[Q] NFS Shift problem on SK17i

Just want to ask, is there any compatibility issues on SK17i with the NFS shift android game or the like. Also, is there a specific minimum/maximum requirements to play this game?
When I Run this game I just see the logo and then it goes black and turns me back to the icon screen. Need help on using this.
Also as of now my total available space remaining:
MicroSD Card - 324 mb
Internal - 128 mb
The phone is updated on the latest android version 2.3.4
And is there any software that can transfer internal memory to external memory?
And also, is there any way to speed up or stabilize the speed for SK17i?
Nah man. Nfs shift are fully compatible with sk17i.
Dude, don't worry, nfs shift runs perfectly smooth on sk17I, even my old lg optimus one with only 600mhz processor runs it smoothly how does your sk17I doesn't run it smoother?
For transferring any apps from internal memory to sd card, I recommend using Link2sd. Search it from the market

Hmmm... It was recommended by a friend and I was just trying to test if it'll work on my Xperia mini pro.
Hope you could recommend the best android market that you know of.
and if there is a way or an app that can stabilize the processing speed or balance the flow of the RAM so that when you still use it for long periods of time it still have that same speed on openning and closing applications or programs on this android phone.

i recommend using Appbrain App Market. my favorite market so far and many people like it.
for speed, try overclocking your cpu using Setcpu or No Frills app but you need a specified kernels to do so and an unlocked bootloader. check out xperia mini pro android development forum.
for ram, you can use any task killer app from the market. it works and free up more of your ram but i didnt recommend it. but you can still use it.

Personally, I'm against task killers.
Android will kill old processes itself, when it feels it needs more memory. Task killer uses itself memory to kill the apps, which actually might be later needed(and then takes longer to load them). Killing tasks doesn't give that much speed.
That's my personal opinion.
Myself, I use only V6 Supercharger on rooted phone with custom ROM to improve my phone's speed, it changes the minfree amounts, that is when Android should kill some unneeded tasks.

Android is based on Linux.
Unlike CPU, free RAM does not necessarily mean better battery life. RAM takes up the same current when half filled/fully filled. So free RAM equals wasted RAM.
Android fills up free unused memory with some apps.
This way when you load those apps, they load faster. Bye if you want to run some apps, the least recent apps are automatically cleared to make free space. You can find this info in the built-in task manager under HELP tab.
But when you disrupt the process using memory cleaners, it does no good. After some time, android fills it up again, which consumes a tiny amount of battery drainage.
