I am looking for update my ATT dell Streak with O2 2.1 on it to DjSteve Rom but i am not been able to do anything using MAC ?
can someone please help me how can i make it happen using mac
You can do all the steps list on the Mac without issue.
1) Install the Android SDK and make sure it is in your system path so the commands will be recognized.
2) Follow the rest of the steps, but when using fastboot make sure to use the PC commands, not the Mac (Mac commands did not work for me)
If you give me specifics of where you are I may be able to help
you dont need to download the SDK, just grab the fastboot files
Not Android Development you could have asked the question in steves thread and not created a new thread

Rsd shows failure but once Reboot there will be an unlock on the top. By the way. Use the latest no pudding in the development zone and make the motorola drivers are installed correctlly.

Refer to LokiFish post everything moto in the dev section.. It can be found here..

All of the info you need about unlocking can be found in the unlocking methods thread posted..
I suggest before you continue hap-hazardly that you copy and paste posts into a document... Then keep scrolling through the posts in the thread and keep adding important usefull posts to the document.. Having everything clear and concise will help and prevent you from searching in circles trying to get this done..
Good luck and RTFF...

Yes. Try going to YouTube and watching qbking77 video tutorial. It will walk you through...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwRjFrzClBs&feature=youtube_gdata_player
If you follow qbking77's video for installing CWM later, dont try to root your phone the way he has shown in the video. Ie. By downloading system.rar and flashing it using RSDLite. Use the one click root method or using his method in the video will break your wifi.

Same thing happened to me and as somebody else has stated, it's normal. As long as you get the "Unlocked" message in the top left, you're good to go.
now for some reason my command prompt is giving me moto-fastboot is not recognized as an internal or external command. yes i have the sdk installed
You have to open the command prompt from the directory that fastboot.exe is in, if you are running windows 7 you can shift + right click the folder and you will have an option to "open command window here"

1) you need to read some more
2) you probably open the command prompt from the wrong folder
3) you haven't set your environment paths
If you don't know what 2 and 3 mean then that proves you haven't done enough of number 1
Thank you !
Dear cdzo72

First of all what are you trying to get accomplish?
By flashing StreakMod you are then able to flash zip files (custom ROM's, themes, etc...)
Stock recoveries are for flashing stock ROM update packages. The recovery has to match the ROM or at least the region.
Now let me say this again as politely as possible.... The fact that you asked what you did proves 1 of two things.... You haven't read OR you don't understand what you're reading. In either case I strongly suggest you get a grasp of what you are doing BEFORE you end up with a device you can't repair

I have looked but I cannot find anything on how to get fastboot for Nook Tablet working (and yes I do have CM9 0.05.1) and I want to flash recovery but it is not recognizing my Nook. All it has on device manager is Other Devices/ Acclaim with an exclamation point. Please help
Hi, have you installed adb succesfully in your pc previously?
If yes then the next thing you need is fastboot.exe file, if not then start with that first then fastboot.
You can find what you need here, also if you search in my threads (link in my signature) you can find a tutorial about how to install and use ADB.

Acclaim
I have the same challenge. I have ADB working successfully (and have used Veronica's guide to repartition my NT - thanks again). Yet when I use Cyanoboot and start Fastboot my device shows up in Other Devices as Acclaim and none of the USB drivers I have pointed to get installed. It isn't mission critical that I solve this but it would be nice from a knowledge base to understand what I am missing in case I ever need to use Fastboot. It seems to be a much easier tool to change the installed Recovery image than ADB. Any help would be appreciated.
adb works for me. i currently have cyanoboot, when i try to go to start fastboot to install a new recovery, i notice in my device manager there is an uninstalled driver called "Acclaim". Already tried the NT drivers for it and it didn't work. Any ideas? I recently flashed succulent's cm7 image which had a cwm v5.0.x and i want to flash cwm v 5.5.x. Already tried using indirect's NT recovery flasher and no go on that...

when doing fastboot do you see "acclaim" under other devices in device manager? I had to install another set of drivers in order for fastboot to work.

you need to find the id of the nook under other devices acclaim. then you modify the android_winusb.inf file with those new id's and install the drivers

I don't have windows so I won't comment on that. There is one thing that I never see mentioned when talking of adb access problems.
On custom roms (your case cm9 0.05.1) in settings, developer options, Android debugging should be checked to allow adb access. If not checked that may be your issue.
If I'm having adb issues and it was working previously I'll boot to cwm (5.5.0.4 version not 5.0.2 or whatever) and go from there.
You should get adb working properly, but to flash recovery you can use one of the flashable zip files while in cwm. They work for me!
Got a few minutes on a windows 7 pc (people should take their breaks at their desk). If you are using Veronicas thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22049356&postcount=1 you will find a file runmefirst.bat if you run it and follow instructions about unplugging and replugging nook it will create and setup the previously mentioned file. Do not run zergy as suggested. When it pulls device manager your exclamation should say nook. Right click it, update driver software, browse my computer, let me pick, and then choose the directory with your usbdrivers, tell it yes to use them. Do not worry about anything else from runmefirst.bat including anything else to run. You just want it to set the codes for your nt and then it is of on use.
I had adb working for my nt quickly on that windows 7 pc. It had no previous adb or usb drivers installed.
Good Luck
I got nook tablet drivers installed and it works for adb however fastboot still has acclaim!
anyone have steps how to fix this?
fastboot has no devices

like i said in a previous post, right click the acclaim item under other devices and look for the product id and edit the android_winusb.inf accordingly.
after that right click acclaim, update driver software, and browse for the drivers yourself. if all goes well fastboot should work. this is how i did it. not that i ever really use fastboot but its good to have just in case.
Is there any step-by-step tutorial on how to flash NT with fastboot? I have tried to search, but still could not get it work.
Thanks.

Check your android_winusb.inf to see if you have the right entry for the NT -- see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35971559&postcount=13.

Why not flash your NT using SD-based CWM Recovery (e.g., see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37515697&postcount=31)?
The easiest way under windows, is just choose the driver on your own, use the driver from the Android SDK (sdk\extras\google), and you will be presented with a couple of options, choose Android Composite ADB Interface.
Read post 5 and onwards
Make sure debug is on in settings developer tools.
Download debugfs and unzip.
Open a command prompt and browse to the unzipped folder.
Use that adb. type adb shell and hit enter.
Double check your TF201 usb cable as they are prone to having issues even when they look ok, also try different usb slot's, different computer.

Changed the topic instead of starting a new topic on this. I have for a long time now wondered these two things:
1. Why does every fastboot command need the -i 0x0b05 to even work?
2. What's the deal with blobs? Isn't it possible to directly flash .img files with fastboot?

The -i is the USB address basically. DO NOT use fastoot to flash stock blob file or you will brick it. I wanted to do the same to regain root but read of too many others saying not to or your a brick....

I've only used fastboot to flash a craig's modified twrp recovery blob.
Uhm, how come the Prime needs the USB address? I remember on my "old" Gnex I never had to enter that -i tag or anything. Just fastboot, followed by a command like flash, then the path to the img file to be flashed.

In your adb folder press shift + right click and open the command prompt window from there and try that. Try a different USB port?

Saw and tried both with no better results. I ended up using the recovery flashable zip in santod's closed thread without any problems. I know it's not the full RUU, but whatevs for now. Thanks though!
