Hi everybody,
I had my x10i upgraded to 2.1. The phone is from UK, and I flashed 1.6 nordic, then upgraded to 2.1 through seus. The phone did not turn on the first time, then I took the battery out, put it back in. It turned on, it worked for a while. Though if I turned the phone off, and then on, it took a while to boot, or to even show something on the screen.
Now it completely refuses to boot up. I've tried flashing 2.1 global with flasher available on these forums. Same result. Then flashed it once more with SEUS. SAME THING!
When I press power button the phone vibrates, but then nothing is shown on the scree, none of the LEDs are on, nothing. If the power button is pressed again, nothing happens. If I take the battery out, and then put it back in, same thjing happens: the phone vibrates but nothing on the screen.
Has this happened to anyone here? Is it possible to fix this issue withous service center? and is there a way to revert to 1.6?
Thanks to everyone in advance, any advice is appreciated.
EDIT: I can also turn the phone on in flash mode, green LED comes on and I can flash it successfully.
If anybody is interested or has the same issue, I found a solution.
Download Flash Tool from post 3, download the most appropriate 1.6 firmware for your X10 from post 2. I used latest WWE version.
Replace all files in Flash tool with your downloaded firmware, record DevID (read howto) and flash your phone. Then update with seus to 2.1.
Cheers
So, this means it's case of a bad flash, is that it? I have read some people experience this. Thanks...

Some of the more recent firmware files do not include the loader.sin file. You need to add manully, or use the flash tool that goes and puts it in. The latest direction mention to add the loader.sin.
The X10flash.bat I use has these lines:
:X10
@copy loaders\X10loader.sin firmware\loader.sin
GOTO USERDATA

Hey all, not sure if this x10a is totally bricked. It was running 2.1 (pre official release)and someone tried to downgrade it back to 1.6 and now all it does is boot to a triangle (!) and a phone. I've tried to plug it in and repair through SEUS but ti doesn't give me the option to do anything. Also I've tried to reflash it to 2.1 but it does the same thing on boot. The weird thing is when I try to use the new "X10flashertoo" I choose my firmware then it tells me to hold Back and plug in the USB, so I do that and nothing happens like I never plugged it in. It does make the DA DA noise on my computer, so it recognizes it on some level. Any ideas? Also SEUS does show that I have a phone plugged in and it's recognized but it has no other options.
Thanks in advance!
Download the latest flashtool. with the latest realease fw i think it is .435 I believe the flashtool comes with this firmware. if not thats ok. it comes with several variations of 2.1 and 1.6 generic and rogers branding. youll want to use the generic version as it has no crap apps. turn phone off and hit the flash button. plug in your phone while holding the back button. a green light with appear in the top right of you phone. this is flash mode. leave it alone while it flashes. when its done it will say unplug and power on. do this. when it powers on it will take several minutes to load. leave it alone while it does this. voila... your done. any more help needed.... pm me...
oh yea.... in the flashtool click on the help button and on the first option click and it will bring other options up. hit the debug option. this really does help get it back to working. ive had to do it myself. pm if you still have problems
Omg thank you so much guys! I got it working! I really really appreciate it. Now I get to get back to trying to make the Atrix work like it should >.<
4 weeks ago I upgrade my phone to the froyo os (experia x10 on rogers) and had some issues with crashes so I reverted back to the generic firmware I just downloaded and now the phone stay with a black screen and after 10 sec or so start to vibrate non stop and will not charge. so I ordered a separated battery charger got it in the mail last week charged my battery and I was able to flash the phone again so I tried a few different firmware with all the same results, when using seus I get a message saying I already have the latest software and no option to repair
I wonder if anyone would have some tips or could point me to an adequate firmware for my phone.. The 2.1 I had previously is not available anymore
I have searched allot on the forum and have to find a solution that work for me so any help is really appreciated.
Even when SEUS says you have the latest software, there is option to download the firmware again (repair), just click it and get your phone to life.
or else you can try flashtool.
also remember clear cache before flash
I remember seeing this option in seus last year but I since changed computer and re downloaded seus the other day and this option does not appear to be available anymore... Flash tool is what I use now and I m wondering if I either dont have the right file or the right version of seus
I never cleared the cache I will try that tonight...
Your phone is bricked.

your device ID is 5&1a93e808&0&1 (in my case)
just copy that to DeviceId.txt file

Hi everyone
yesterday I bought a X10 (it wasn't brand new)
I turned it on and it asked me for settings (language, time, etc) (yeah it's not new but they changed the rom before sell it to me)
I worked with it for like 10-15min and I got a big vibrate and it turned off. I pluged it into the charger, there was an orange led for 5min and then nothing, when I tried to turn the phone on I saw SE logo and it restarted. I plugged it to the charger, nothing again, not even orange led
I took it to a store and they shocked the battery, i came back, turned it on, it booted ok everything was fine,I plugged it again to full charge. orange led for 1.5h and then green led.I worked with it a short time then turned it off to put the sim and sd card in
when I turned it on it booted till lock screen and rebooted. again SE logo then boot again
it sometimes boot till lock screen sometimes only se logo and reboot
when it goes to lock screen I see antena has red x on it, i thought maybe that's the problem, i removed sim and sd, still the same
Please please please help me
ps 1: I can't connect it to the pc, I tried but when pc wants to recognize it and install drivers, it stops and says "not successful"
Have a look in the dev section for flashtool (there's a tutorial in the q&a section), look in the firmwares sticky in the dev section and download the firmware for your region. I suggest you pick a generic firmware. Now use flashtool to flash the firmware to the phone.
This should solve the problem.
thank you Frosty for fast answer
but my problem is my pc dosen't recognize the phone
flashtool works even without drivers?
Flashtool works in flash mode. If you can't get your computer to recognise the phone when it is powered on, it should still recognise it in flash mode. If not, there is an option in flashtool to install the drivers.
Sent from my x10, rocking Wolf's 2.3.3 + DooMKernel, overclocked to 1.2 GHz...
good, so I think I still have a chance to fix it
btw, now I have stock 2.3.3 installed
which rom do you recommend? should I install 2.3.3 again or downgrade to 2.1?
I want it to support farsi
X10i_3.0.1.G.0.75_CUSTOMIZEDARO-ARO GENERIC 1241-1846
is right?
You could do 2.3.3 or 2.1. It shouldn't matter.
As for Farsi support, 2.1 supports more languages than 2.3.3 I think. I just checked the list of available languages on my 2.3.3 ROM and Farsi isn't listed. 2.1 might support it.
You could always try both to see which one better suits your needs.
That firmware you have is 2.3.3, by the way.
thank you so much frosty
I asked if i could install 2.3.3 because now have 2.3.3 and i have this problem. installing same version will fix it?
and one question about baseband
should i download one or it comes in firmware pack/zip
if I have to download it, how do I know which one?
Your're welcome.
Oh, in that case, you should be fine.
The baseband is included in the firmware file.
I'm facing a weird problem
I can't turn my phone on, I've been told to try flashtool and install a new rom
my old rom was 2.3.3
I downloaded flashtool and X10i_3.0.1.G.0.75_CUSTOMIZEDARO-ARO GENERIC 1241-1846
first time I tried instrudoction in second post in this topic. it seems flashtool recognized my device and startet flashing but after a few min it said flash aborted
I wanted to try again but this time even before i connect the device to usb cable, flashtool say flashing start and nothing happen
I also tried SE update service, it downloaded the rom and it seem it worked (second green bar went to the end and said disconnect phone and restart)
I restart the phone but it reset after SE logo, sometime it boot till lock screen and reset again
Please help me
Sorry to say this, but you might be out of luck.
If re-flashing stock couldn't fix it, your issue may be a hardware problem.
Do you have any sort of warranty? If it's second hand, you probably don't.
You could try taking it to a Sony Ericsson service center and see if they can do anything.
omg
I'm officially beeeeeep
thanks anyway Frosty
btw, pc campanion and se update service do something different
is it possible that pc companion can fix it?
Well you could try. Couldn't hurt.
Hi everybody,
First of all, if I am in any way repeating something written somewhere else, I am sorry but I am quite newbie here and, even if I searched around this forum, I couldn't find any info about my specific problem.
This said, to the problem!
I have an Xperia Neo (europe) with 2.3.3 Android and yesterday I was signaled of a OTA update available. I then switched on Wifi, connected the phone to the power cable and started the update. After downloading everything, the phone rebooted and showed me an updating screen.
After a while, though, the phone turned off and....well, it didn't turn on anymore!
No sign of life from the battery led either!
Now, after some stunned panicking seconds, I started googling and came at this thread:
http://www.techofweb.com/technology/recovering-bricked-xperia-flashtool.html
and downloaded the last version of Flashtool from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746
and the latest stock firmware ( MT15i_4.0.2.A.0.42_GLOBAL.7z ) from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1258723
....I tried to flash the firmware with FlashTool and the operation completed, but when I try to turn the phone on now I just see a quick green blinking of the power led and then nothing else.
I tried to take out the battery, and also tried to flash an older (2.3.3) firmware, but the problem didn't go away.
Now, the phone is in warranty, not rooted and everything....I could bring it to Sony, but it would take 15 to 30 days to them, so I just wandered if there was anything I was doing wrong and that, if corrected, could save me a lot of time and efforts.
Thank you guys a lot!
Bye!
you downgraded from 2.3.4 to 2.3.3 ?
If so then you get 0% battery issue... Search about it in this forum

Downgrading to 2.3.2 causes battery issue...back to 2.3.3 no one reported battery problems.

could u bear with me for asking such questions and please reply it would be really helpful...as i am new to android platform
thanks in advance...
Try reading the previous post in this thread?
I'd be surprised if flashing firmware with Wotanserver won't fix it. Just go to wotanserver.com, follow the steps and flash.
Before u flash using flashtool or wotanserver, makesure u hold the back button while connect to usb until the green LED appear.
OK Im pretty new to Android flashing etc, so go easy please
Customer brought in X10i locked to Orange-UK and running firmware 1.6
I used flashtool to flash 2.1 rom and after flash completed, phone boots to SE logo (writing) and then is stuck.
I have tried updating using both SEUS and PCCompanion. Both say that they have updated the phone successfully but phone still does not start.
After flashing with PCC boot process was same problem as before except I briefly saw an image of a camera and a blue arrow pointing down to a phone.
After flashing with SEUS, the phone does not start at all. When I press the power button I see red led flash 3 times repeatedly.
I thought maybe battery has died, so I have connected to mains charger.
Now the phone seems flashes red led once (repeatedly) for about 2 minutes, then led changed to solid green for about 2 minutes, then powers-up to SE logo/writing and camera/blue arrow image briefly, before repeating the process again.
I am not sure if the phone is charging or not? (or maybe battery is not even depleted?)
I am trying to unlock the phone for my customer using SETool or (Omnia?) but both say that 1.6 is not supported and handset must be flashed to 2.1
Seems like I have fallen at the first hurdle
I have searched the www and read forums and tutorials etc and have been at this for nearly 7 hours solid now
Please help.
Thanks.

The red flashing light sounds like battery issue! Do you have another x10 to charge the battery?
Have you rooted the device and unlocked the bootlaoder?
If so and you can enter xrecovery and flash a custom ROM wolfs for example?
Simply power off the device unplug USB cable and just press back button repeatedly while it starts up!

Hi,
Thank You for replying.
You are absolutely right about the battery/flashing lights. I have charged the battery externally and the red flashing light issue has gone.
The phone now powers up to SE writing, then camera and blue arrow, then back to SE writing and stops.
The phone was fully working on Orange-UK before I flashed it. It looked as though everything on it was stock and it had never been flashed or updated ever.
I have not tried to root it or unlock bootloader (Im not even sure what unlocking bootloader means?)
What can I try next to bring this back to life?
Should I just keep trying to flash different roms?
Maybe I should try to flash stock Orange-UK firmware?
Thanks for your help so far, and look forward to your reply

help
Sorry I dont mean to double post or annoy anyone but please can someone help me with this.
Thats nearly another day and still I am stuck at SE logo/writing
I have flashed 5 or 6 different roms now, all with same end result.
I think I am missing something somewhere?
Do I need to upgrade/downgrade kernel?
and what is usb debugging setting? I set it to 'on' when phone was working at the very start, but I think now it is off.
Do I need this to be on before flashing? and if so, how do i do this if the phone is not booting?
Thanks.
MK5
You will need the phone to boot up to put debugging on! This needs to be on to root the device! It wont root without it. It makes sense why your stuck at se logo im sure if you flash the wrong firmware to the phone it wont boot up flash the orange firmware 2.1 or 2.3. British orange version then root using flashtool and use the program in the link above to unlock the sim
Let me know if it works?!!
Good luck!!

Thanks m8, I'll give that a go. Battery has just died again, so giving it another charge just now.
Just a point to notw? - When i update the phone in SEUS, the process tells me that the update has completed successfully, but phone doesnt boot, and if I connect to SEUS again, it tells me that an update is available and this goes 'round in circles'
Is it possible that the phone somehow isnt actually getting flashed properly?
anyways will try the Ora-UK firmware first.
Should I look for stock 1.6 as that is what wason it originally? or can i go right ahead with 2.1?
Also where can I download these from? The only links I found for 2.1 orange were dead (megaupload)
Thanks for all your help so far m8. I appreciate it

m8 you are a star
I got firmware from omnius and unzipped and made a couple of modifications (as per tutorial on the site)
flashed my newly created ftf file and the phone booted
Back to running stock 1.6
I need to make sure I do things properly this time.
Can you give me any pointers as to the correct tutorials to follow?
I just want to unlock the phone so it will accept a Vodafone sim card.
Not too bothered about debranding and custom roms etc.
Thanks.
