I had an evo with the .apk and tried installing it. Constant forecloses. Anyone seen the app functioning?

I wanted the stock keyboard and someone told me about "smart keyboard" which has the android/sense/touchwiz keyboards and seems to be pretty identical to the stock one... but if you want the real stock one for whatever reason it'll need to be ported

Unzip the file and install... this is not a flashable zip. A use APP Installer from Market.
Make sure you install both .apk's HTC IME and Clicker.
ENJOY
It won't install the clicker apk. It just says application not installed. I'm not rooted it that makes a dif.

Clicker.apk may already system installed. Have you installed the HTC IME and rebooted? After that go to settings/keyboard and tick the enabler.
???? My guess.

The htc ime installed just fine. But I was looking for the stock android kb not the htc one. Also the htc ime is close to identical as the preinstalled one.

This seems to be a modified HTC touch input keyboard. It's pretty nice but definitely looking for the stock froyo keyboard.
Wasn't easy but I found it. Stock Android like on the N1. Froyo.
Install ISSUE... I can only get it to install after removing Swype and the HTC IME Multitouch Droid 2 keyboard I have installed. Maybe someone can work it out???

Just dowload Better keyboard app, and then choose skin from the market: Better Keyboard Skin-Android. .
Only thing it doesn't do is the slide up to expose numbers.
Search "cedime". It has same look as Android keyboard and it has Chinese input option.

Off the T-Mobile shelf Glacier came with Swype, weather and clock, and mobile office (powerpoint, word and excel). But I rooted and flashed CM6.
What's the best way to restore them?

Hi, you can download a stock rom containing the apks and then using adb or root explorer to overwrite the apk's within your system/apps/ directory. Did you have a backup of your stock rom?
Also I'm not sure if cm6 supports the weather and clock widgets or any other htc sense widgets. You need the sense launcher from those. You can also pull the apks from the ice glacier rom for the quickoffice and swype
What about if the apps are backed up in Titanium? Can they be restored from there?

Im sorry, I couldn't get these to install. I downloaded and tried to install. File manager runs install but gets 'app not installed' message. Tried to push but 'device not found'.
I'm a noob to installing apps. How do I push apps - new sdk for cm7? which folders? does it have to be in fastboot? Can a paid root explorer install these?

(not official) CM7 Alpha. Updates Daily. rom?
Didn't work. I've given up on HTC weather widget but I'd really wanted the Quick Office cause it was an apk when I paid tmobile for my glacier.

Tried to install quick office apk, few of them forced course and others paraphrase errors, on cm7. Would try to nandroid back to stock and pull the files from there

That's a great app. Been using it on all my Sense roms since my OG EVO. It is a paid app.

Just a heads up, I believe an updated version is posted HERE It works great for me.
HTC offers the app through the HTC HUB also. Of course they may push other stuff to the phone but its still available.

Download the apk onto your SD card, then go to the file location and select it using any file managaer (OI File Manager, Astro, File Expert, Root Explorer, etc.). Then you can install it like any other app.
Dose any one have the stock gingerbread keyboard installed and working on their Amaze? Can any one point me to the apk file if so... Please and thank you...
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G using XDA App
There's one on the market. I'm not a fan of the HTC keyboard myself. Just search gingerbread keyboard on market. Think it's listed as keyboard from Android 2.3 free app.
Is it possible to install the stock android keyboard? I don't like the the samsung keyboard but don't want to install a custom ROM. Thanks.
Download the Swype beta msn. It's free indefinitely. It's the best keyboard on the market

He said stock android, not swype.. And swype being the "best" is all opinion. I cant stand swype. To me swiftkey 3 is the best
You can (with no root) just sideload the .apk of the android keyboard as well.
LatinIME.apk is the file.

Where can I download just the APK? Thanks.
Never mind I found it, how do I replace the enter key with the smiley icon?
Since I got the new OTA my phone has been picking Swype as my default keyboard. Is there a solution to this besides disabling it?
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
Yeah, should just be able to go into settings and change your default keyboard
Well if u dont care for using swype, just uninstall it. Use a file browser and delete the apk
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
Isn't it installed as a system app on the stock ROM? That would require root to remove
I thought it came with it.
Maybe not though. I never used it.
