Could anybody owning a P500 run and post the results of the P500 in Neocore benchmark? I could not find it anywhere.
Thanks.
Standard kernel 44fps w/o touch display, but 15fps with touch.
OC kernel 748mhz 55fps / 24fps.
There display driver issue.

This is the best phone EVER!!! It runs Heavy Gunner 3d smooth now! framerate drop ocassionaly tho, but before flash it was bearly playable!!! ;D
this is at oc 787
smartassv2 governor
best i have got is 56fps
at 806oc
with min/max governor
at 480/600 mhz, this is what i get for each governor:
min/max: 56.5
scary: 56.1
smartassv2: 56.5
savagedzen: 55.8

nope. i am using andy's phoenix rom, which in my opinion is the best rom out here performance-wise
The best Neocore scores are available with mik 6.6.1 ROM and crosses 70.0 and may reach 74-75 with smartass governor. With mik 6.5.7 and fserve .v19.4-gbs.v18a-cfs, I get around 62. IMHO mik 6.5.7 and fserve .v19.4-gbs.v18a-cfs are the best available ROM and Kernel for P500 in terms of battery life, performance and stability.
mik_os CM7 v6.6.1 @ 480/729 - smartassv2
latest franco's kernel
with sound:
- normal: 60.1
- touching: 43.6
without sound:
- normal: 63.8
- touching: 54.8
I really wanted to test Andy's latest ROM, but seems some more bugs have to be fixed. I will try it once it's bug free. As of now miks 6.5.7 is totally bug free, stable and powerful with fserve gbs kernel. The scores I get are with 480/768 smartass. Battery life is AWESOME! Goes on for more than 2 full days with moderate usage!
My best result is 76fps on mik's cm7 6.6.1 with franco's. 35 kernel
Oc'ed at 480 min 730 max @ smartass.

I am not pleased with my Phone performance. I wanna set it to 769 MHz. Any good app there?
hey
use andy rom or mik rom 6.6.1 which is built in pure performance plus battery
and if you are thinking that what can I do with that rom which has lot's of bug
then think again becuase it's not big deal for performance and battery
Use setcpu.
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
But as aspee said.if you want performance, then use mik's cm7 6.6.1 + Franco's kernel.

I got some problems with it, no service, please help!
uh baseband old or new?
i dont use setCPU am using the built-in one on mik OS cm7 6.5.7 when on standby and of normal usage i OC it at max:600 min:480 and when am browsing the net(using Opera Mini i prefer speed i dont need need flash **** ) OC at max:672 min:480 and when playing angry birds my OC'ing is max:691 or 710 min:480 all with smartass governor using fserve's gbs kernel v18a i only OC and set the max higher (787) for quadrant, neocore, etc use since higher OC'ing when not in use reduce battery power IMHO..
yes, setCPU is alright with openOptimus 2.2.2
Use set cpu its a good app
my phone works well at max 806/245 OC
but the HD games or any games or app apart from the default ones crash if i open them
so now my cell is at OC 787/245
with smartassv2 governor
nice performance

The only thing u can do is use lower frequencies.

How much you can over-clock really depends from device from device. Some O1s are lucky and can OC to 806 but some never make it pass 729. Give Franco a try (its an awesome kernel regardless) but if it doesn't work it probably just mean that your phone can't OC to 806 (like mine) and just stick with something at a lower frequency.
If you install setcpu then it comes with a stress test. Use it to find out which frequency is the most stable for you.
what about governers ? if I use smartass it crashes while playing games.. and with ondemand, it feels stable.
What would your opinions best be for governors you use for 1. Battery 2. Performance 3. Combination of both
Also do you use sio or hoop?
I personally use smartassv2, smartass, and/or conservative....but which one has best battery options, maybe interactivex
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
I use interactivex
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
interactivex = best battery
minmax = best performance
im using lightassv2 on venice v4.0 lets c how it is
interactivex
Yep interactiveX hands down.
For some reason Smartassv2 don't go to maximium freq. Example i put max to 729 put i only get 710mhz at most

The best is any governor that isn't conservative with: min- 480 max- (the max that your phone can handle, for me it's 729)
And the i/o sheduller: basically sio for multitasking and noop* to give priority in what you are doing
PS:i use paolo v6 touch kernel and everything works without any lag.
for those of you using franco.kernel v1.1 (his .35 kernel), maybe this might be something of interest?
franciscofranco said:
Conservative governor will save more battery life than smartass2, and because I tweaked it there shouldn't be any performance loss in the long run. There is enough information about conservative in the web, a little Google search will do it.

Your absolutely right, when I used sonygenmod I used a .35 kernel with conservative governor and battery was better...but since most roms now use .32, I stick with interactivex

Thought it'd be interesting to see what kind of performance everyone is getting with their players. Also if someone has a vastly higher score maybe we can figure out which tweaks make the largest difference.
There's a lot of different configurations out there by now and putting a numerical value to it seems like a cool idea! My score is derived from the 'full benchmark' in both quadrant and Antutu.
For those that don't have the apps, here are some market links!
Antutu Benchmark - https://play.google.com/store/apps/...1bGwsMSwxLDMsImNvbS5hbnR1dHUuQUJlbmNoTWFyayJd
Quadrant Standard Edition - https://play.google.com/store/apps/...mFzb2Z0d29ya3MucXVhZHJhbnQudWkuc3RhbmRhcmQiXQ..
Make sure to close all running apps while benchmarking. Changing your CPU governor to "performance" will also give you a better score and take the CPU governing out of the benchmark equation.

I just retested mine setting the CPU governor to performance and it vastly improved my scores. I have my on-demand governor set to be super responsive but I guess it doesn't jive with the benchmarking too well. It improved one of my scores by almost 1000 points though

I will vary from day to day, but on a good day I can get over 2800 on Quadrant. I just ran Antutu with it plugged into my pc, and I got 3724. I will add a breakdown of each score below.
Kernel:Terrasilent V1.3.5
Filesystem: EXT4 with a LOT of extra mount options
Rom: EtherealRom V2.2 (as yet to be released)
OC: 1.5GHZ with smartassV2 (stable, but with insane overvolting)
I/O governor: VR
Antutu: 3724
CPU:1153
GPU:1440
RAM:502
I/O:628
Quadrant (randomly run): 2773
CPU:2021
Mem:1692
I/O:7315
2D:467
3D:2368
NOTE: my player has been a little wonky due to last-minute bugs, and I am probably getting a lower score than I should.
Help!
Ok, now how the hell do you guys score such high points on your Quadrant?!
I am currently running getting about 1,400 to 1,500 on my SGP 5.0.
Specs:
OS: 2.3.5 Gingerbread (Original ROM so far)
Kernel: 2.6.35.7 (Original Kernel)
Overclock: Tegrak Overclock to 1.5ghz
256MB RAM Swapper
Seeder lag reduction on "Moderate" mode.
I/O: Deadline.
All the rest remains untouched.
My detailed scores:
CPU: 2,043
Mem: 1,654
I/O: 913
2D: 467
3D: 2,098
Can anyone give me a light here?
When I was runny icy fusion I got about 2000 in quadrant. When I was running ethereal I got 2200 @ 1.0ghz and 2536 @ 1.2ghz

The quadrant score doesnt really mean anything...The score never comes exactly the same the next time you check...you can get a little up or down the mark of you previous scores depending how your devices is performing at the moment...
