whats the fastest rom? - Vibrant Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

whats the best and fastest and battery saving rom, for the tmobile vibrant?

PerfectRom v1.3 for the Vibrant

I think that you're gonna get biased answers, as people have only tried specific ROMs.

mmh whats the most famous rom?

Heres an idea, Flash every rom you find on here, and see if you like it, If not, go to the next one. Everyone will have a different favorite rom.

are u using axura right now? how did you overclock it to 1.3?

Uh...you might want to add "stable" to your wish-list. I am on Bionix 1.9.1, w/ Voodoo, which is the fastest, most stable ROM imo. However, it is ancient by todays standards, being from October, I believe, and is based upon Andoid 2.1 (Eclair).

No I'm using Nero, and I overclocked it to 1.4

im looking for a stable rom thats based on 2.2, fast and battery efficient, is that too much to ask lol?

Go download nero 3 beta.

thats what im doing =-D i hope its good, could i flash that with odin?

Odin back to stock jk2 then flash Nero3

macnut 14 final is stable fast good looking and drains very less battery....
i will recommend macnut14
with i/o kernal

Nero with i/o kernel is a better choice. Download rom manager, and download the zip file on the nero beta3 thread, and drag it to your phone, and install from CMW.

so im testing out nero 3, so far soo good =D

It has to be between Macnut R14 and Nero Beta 3.. Use Super IO Kernel on any ROM for best results w/ battery life..

how do i get that i\o kernel? how do i install it sorry im a noob!

Sorry to be off-topic here, but this is in the wrong section, it belongs in the Q&A. Doesn't really matter anymore though, just thought I'd mention it for future reference to the OP.

thx alot, sorry about the wrong section just getting used to this site!

[Q] My defy

Hi All
I have Tmobile moto Defy mb525, I tried to get rid of the tmobile logo, I used superoneclick and it works fine, super user then rom manager but i did not find moto defy so i used system recovery, i tried to update it form zip file but the device hangs, after many tries the phone dies, now i installed another tmobile rom and it works again
and this is the new infos, the question can i install any other roms or tmobile rom is my destiny?
Yes, you can. Just update to 3.4.2-155 for Barebones, Xd1, JBoogie3 LiquidArc/BluelessGinger or 3.4.3-11 for Pays 5.1.
But i don't know if you can go back to stock 2.1, if you already has flashed a full SBF.
Thanks for your help, no prb if I cannot downgrade it

Wich one do you use/prefer. I flashed Barebones, Pays and xd1. So far my favorite is xd1.
Flashed JBoogie's BlurGinger today (based on Froyo Korea), and it's ****ing awesome! Even with blur, it's the most amazing rom i have ever seen. But i flashed today, then my I can be wrong
Will use it this week and see...
talking about best ROM..
which one currently the best so far..

cant say anything about battery life yet..
but so far it feel faster than stock defy
I use MIUI and it`s really amazing ROM to use battery life is good than CM7 according to me....

Rite now ur on which ROM?
MIUI has too much BUGs right now, CM7 is the best ROM for Defy.
BUT, with time, i think MIUI can be the most used, since they do a great job modding, theming, and developing their own apps.
CM7 has bugs regarding wifi and brightness. I'm currently on 177-005 nordic with Defy Cool&Clean MOD by trinacre, and I must say it's quite fast and stable. Scored a 1250 on Quadrant.

[Q] Nero v5 download

Hello, does anyone know where I can get a copy of the Nero v5 rom? I can't seem to find it anywhere. The newer Bionix version doesn't work that well on my phone. Thanks.

You can get it from the archives section at team whiskey's website.
Although i cant understand why you would want an outdated test rom to the official Bionix release.
ive followed tw since before nero and am currently on Bionix 1.3.1 and all is good, very stable.

installing kernel X rom

if I just update the original kernel of the stock samsung froyo rom with bali 1.8.8, versus installing bi-winning or trigger rom + bali 1.8.8, will I have improved response with the bi-winning rom? or the speed and battery life is all about the kernel you use?
?????????????????????????
Different people get diffent results. Best to just try it and see for yourself. But personally speaking Bi-Winning and Trigger are improvements over stock Froyo.

if I just apply the bali kernel to stock froyo won´t I get similar results?
Kinda. But both of those roms have additional tweaks and enhancements.

like what?

Anyone wanna spare me sometime and suggest a ROM and Kernal.?

Hey guys. I am kinda overwhelmed by the number of ROMs and kernals around. I saw modems too but dunno what they are. Heres my info:
Baseband:I9100DDKE4
Kernal: 2.6.35.7-I9100XWKF3-CL276555 [email protected] #2
Hope thats alls needed. I wanna try our MIUI. But I saw stuff like bluetooth isnt working there. I dont wanna lose any functionality. Is CyanogenMod my best bet? Are there any other good stable mods I should check out? And whats a good Kernal? Which wont affect battery performance.
Thanks for your time if you reply.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1288850
read throughout the first page and then go to the last page as well of the thread cause they just updated the rom and scripts..so you will enjoy using that rom i know i did since i beta tested it..
and battery life with the right settings you can get 2 days out of it..give it a try your not losing anything..
and regarding cyanogen id wait till they make it more stable

1. Modems are the drivers for the mobile connections if you flash a newer one it can improve your network speed but it really depends were you live etc so it different for every person.
2. If you're a beginner with flashing I wouldn't start with any AOSP ROMs like Cyanogen or MIUI.
3. I would recommend Villain ROM for the beginning. It's clean and basic and it comes with Nimphetamine Kernel. Also the guys there are really nice and like to help if you have some problems.
Hello there OP!
If you want a completely different Android experience, go for the CyanogenMod 7.1 release candidate. Bluetooth and other important stuffs are working, read the thread!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1297557
If you want a very stable ROM with bloatware removed, I recommend you Cognition 1.5.1. The developer only uses official firmware releases, not leaks.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1124396
Though before you do all these you do need to have your phone rooted first!

i know mate i been there so i know how it feels wanting to ask these questions...but you have some ideas from myself and other people as well so do your reading and choose the one you want..to be honest if i was you id flash a few before deciding which one to stay with..each thread of the roms that i have used everyone is friendly and everyone is helpful so you should be fine...anything you ever need hit me a message and i see if i can help ya
Thanks you everyone. I was just being lazy. Chose Lite'ning Rom and SiyahKernal2.0. Both should play well right? Will I need to recong. all apps?
Loads of roms available but I'd recommend a rom based of 2.3.5 improvements are better than earlier releases.
Then you can choose from the various kernels and modems to customise.
Once you get the hang of flashing and such you can try out others like cm7, which itself works pretty good now and offers a complete aosp experience.
Touchwiz roms are polished though and work very well. By going to CM7 and such you will lose some stock functionalities such as the good camera app, better stock email, and other bits and bobs.

i think LeoMar75 Revolution Rom v2.7.1 and SpeedMod t41 kernel is the best choice.
battery friendly and really fast!!
no lag in SPB Shell 3D launcher and other apps. also revolution rom is really customised!
(my english is not good as i come from Hong Kong)
GingerMod 0.6. Based on 2.3.5.
Fast. Using Siyah kernel with it. Amazing battery life, amazing benchmark scores.

Despite the off-rule topic, I will throw in my two cents.
+infinity for Gingersnap 1.3
Hands down the smoothest, fastest ROM I have ever tried for my humble P500. Combined with DJNoXD's kernels (I prefer TA touchscreen fix and vsync off) and it puts the P500 at the pinnacle of performance and stability for this current time IMO.
As said 1000 times before, there's no need for threads like this.
To find the best suitable ROM for your device, try the ones available and stay on the ROM you think works best on your phone.
