Hello, does anyone know where I can get a copy of the Nero v5 rom? I can't seem to find it anywhere. The newer Bionix version doesn't work that well on my phone. Thanks.

You can get it from the archives section at team whiskey's website.
Although i cant understand why you would want an outdated test rom to the official Bionix release.
ive followed tw since before nero and am currently on Bionix 1.3.1 and all is good, very stable.

can i download any nexus one rom and install it on eris?
No, you can not.
oh ok thanks. and how bout the cyanogen mods? how can i install a rom based on that? 2.1 preferably
If it's made for a seperate phone you can't put it on yours. For the cyanogen mods see any of our cyanogen based roms. I suggest the one in my signature.
i tried that one but what i want to know if theres any cyanogen mod roms based on 2.1

That's based on cyanogenmod 5.8 (the highest 2.1 I believe?)
The Cyanogenmod6 ones are probably way better anyway. 2.2 is sweet, now that they have everything working pretty well. I'd go in that direction.
But, enjoy.

There's a few, like Conaps Eris Lighting Bolt. Find jCases Known ROMS, hacks, and patches post and you'll find a bunch of 2.1 ROMS but only one or two are CM.

whats the best and fastest and battery saving rom, for the tmobile vibrant?
PerfectRom v1.3 for the Vibrant
I think that you're gonna get biased answers, as people have only tried specific ROMs.
mmh whats the most famous rom?
Heres an idea, Flash every rom you find on here, and see if you like it, If not, go to the next one. Everyone will have a different favorite rom.
are u using axura right now? how did you overclock it to 1.3?

Uh...you might want to add "stable" to your wish-list. I am on Bionix 1.9.1, w/ Voodoo, which is the fastest, most stable ROM imo. However, it is ancient by todays standards, being from October, I believe, and is based upon Andoid 2.1 (Eclair).

macnut 14 final is stable fast good looking and drains very less battery....
i will recommend macnut14
with i/o kernal
Nero with i/o kernel is a better choice. Download rom manager, and download the zip file on the nero beta3 thread, and drag it to your phone, and install from CMW.
so im testing out nero 3, so far soo good =D
It has to be between Macnut R14 and Nero Beta 3.. Use Super IO Kernel on any ROM for best results w/ battery life..
how do i get that i\o kernel? how do i install it sorry im a noob!
Sorry to be off-topic here, but this is in the wrong section, it belongs in the Q&A. Doesn't really matter anymore though, just thought I'd mention it for future reference to the OP.
thx alot, sorry about the wrong section just getting used to this site!

Check each rom thread. Look at the view count.
I have searched and looked on the Team Whiskey downloads site, but I can't figure out which ROM the Bionix_Obsidian_v2.zip file pertains to. Can anyone tell me? (I am a NOOB who is looking for a very stable, good-battery-life ROM for the Vibrant, and elsewhere I saw the referenced Bionix zip file recommended.)

i just did some searching and Obsidian is no longer listed under downloads at TW forum.....and the Obsidian thread here at XDA was replaced with Nero......so just hope someone who sees this has the ROM and will be able to upload it for you. I used to have it, but deleted it.
I couldnt find a changelog either, but based on memory it was simply a 2.2 ROM based of of the JK2 leak. I could be wron but thats what i remember
If you go into the forum at team whiskeys site then under vibrant you can download obsidian.

The mirrors post under the sticky contains backups of almost everything.
Mirrors - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=793019
Obisidian V2 - http://www.divshare.com/direct/13144927-5ce.zip
Nero is the newer version of Obsidian. At Obsidian V5 they switched the name to Nero because of a new modem, kernel, and framework leak to JL5. Effectively Nero V3 is Obsidian V8.
PS: Nero will not be as black as Obsidian was. It's a more stock look.
Hope that helps.

I don't know about the goat's behind, but read the bible in here (the link the other op gave) and read the Sticky in the Gen section by S15274N
READ BOTH OF THESE COMPLETELY regardless whether you do any of it or not. After you read all of this you will have enough knowledge to do what you are asking........

Speaking of bums, check this video out.
Sorry,I know it's off topic, but your comment reminded me of it.

You should look for stock ka6 deodexed. Then find lockscreen mods (for ka6) (second link in the post I believe) that can be applied on top of it.
Alternatively, why not just stay on Bionix and flash the kernel on top of it? Same thing, but prettier & faster than stock ^^

Seriously I am having a brain freeze today. I am currently running Cyanogen 7 and was trying to flash the ICS Gummy ROM. Step 2 is to 'flash to THS build 2' but I cannot figure out what that is?
Thanks in advance.

did you find it? i went over to rootzwiki and all I could find were build 5 and 6.5 does it matter to use the newer builds instead of build2? I'm looking at flashing codenamed android
No, you will want to use build 1 or 2. The links are there, look in the old THS rom thread.

Thank you so much!!!
so I went ahead and followed the directions and I am happy to say that I am running my fassy with CNA 1.4
This is awesome!!!
quick suggestion to the mod, is it possible to sticky that thread above, it seems that THS build2 is needed in many paths to ICS, it would helpful for other noob's like me, and avoid posting to these me too type threads.
(can't stop smiling, this ICS is soooo good )

the mods dont seem to give two ****z about stickying any threads in the fascinate section these days...the only time they come around these parts is if enyo our beloved uberdev is being flamed.
that's too bad, because I had a tough time locating that above thread... but now that I've updated my fascinate to codename android 1.4 and updated to the new nightly 1.5... wow this is awesome
