I don't know about the goat's behind, but read the bible in here (the link the other op gave) and read the Sticky in the Gen section by S15274N
READ BOTH OF THESE COMPLETELY regardless whether you do any of it or not. After you read all of this you will have enough knowledge to do what you are asking........

Speaking of bums, check this video out.
Sorry,I know it's off topic, but your comment reminded me of it.

You should look for stock ka6 deodexed. Then find lockscreen mods (for ka6) (second link in the post I believe) that can be applied on top of it.
Alternatively, why not just stay on Bionix and flash the kernel on top of it? Same thing, but prettier & faster than stock ^^

whats the best and fastest and battery saving rom, for the tmobile vibrant?
PerfectRom v1.3 for the Vibrant
I think that you're gonna get biased answers, as people have only tried specific ROMs.
mmh whats the most famous rom?
Heres an idea, Flash every rom you find on here, and see if you like it, If not, go to the next one. Everyone will have a different favorite rom.
are u using axura right now? how did you overclock it to 1.3?

Uh...you might want to add "stable" to your wish-list. I am on Bionix 1.9.1, w/ Voodoo, which is the fastest, most stable ROM imo. However, it is ancient by todays standards, being from October, I believe, and is based upon Andoid 2.1 (Eclair).

macnut 14 final is stable fast good looking and drains very less battery....
i will recommend macnut14
with i/o kernal
Nero with i/o kernel is a better choice. Download rom manager, and download the zip file on the nero beta3 thread, and drag it to your phone, and install from CMW.
so im testing out nero 3, so far soo good =D
It has to be between Macnut R14 and Nero Beta 3.. Use Super IO Kernel on any ROM for best results w/ battery life..
how do i get that i\o kernel? how do i install it sorry im a noob!
Sorry to be off-topic here, but this is in the wrong section, it belongs in the Q&A. Doesn't really matter anymore though, just thought I'd mention it for future reference to the OP.
thx alot, sorry about the wrong section just getting used to this site!

hey guys, well like above said, i jus have a simple question that seems weird.. i mind you that im new to the vibrant, im coming from the nexus 1..
so when i flash roms, (which i do regularly lol) and the op says the rom comes with a custom kernel and i go to "About phone" the kernel name didnt change (at a glance). are the numbers diff..?
--> on the nexus 1 the name of the kernel was the name on the kernel version.. (not numbers)
is the kernel that comes with the rom installed but it doesnt show up on the kernel version?
Example: my kernel version right now is 2.6.32.9.. but when i flash a rom that comes with its' custom kernel, those numbers dont change.. if they do, im not paying close attention (lol) but like i said, i just glance at it because im used to the kernel version changing to whatever the custom kernel is named... if that makes sense...
It will not show that you're running a custom kernel. So that's normal.

Hello, does anyone know where I can get a copy of the Nero v5 rom? I can't seem to find it anywhere. The newer Bionix version doesn't work that well on my phone. Thanks.

You can get it from the archives section at team whiskey's website.
Although i cant understand why you would want an outdated test rom to the official Bionix release.
ive followed tw since before nero and am currently on Bionix 1.3.1 and all is good, very stable.
Hey everyone
So before you chop my head off (See title above)
Yes i know there are overclock kernals and themes available and its not that i havnt seen that
But what i do want to know is
A. can you theme just any rom? with jut any theme?
B. I have never flashed a kernel i just flashed my first 3 roms yesterday so as you can see im new to this but one of the roms i flashed was overclocked @ 1.1ghz so i would like to overclock to 1.2 using the faux kernel as this is the only one i trust.
Any answers are accepted
and once again please dont chew me like gum
Im new
thanks in advance
-heyhey24
ok now i just need to know about the themes as i contacted my friend and suprisingly he knew the answer
Sorry for wasting anyones time
Is you pone unlocked? Do you have clockwork recovery? Is it AT&T? International? There is a lot more involved then you think. I came from the iphone scene which was childs play compared to Android.
Look in the developers section. That and google.
For now, see if this makes any sense :

One here the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1182545
And placing a theme over a rom
The ROM thread will specify what build it is (4.5.91 or FR, etc). The theme thread will specify what build(s) it is compatible with. If the theme is compatible with your ROM's build, just flash according to the theme's instructions (likely CWM).
Atrix themes are atrix themes, but you have to have the right build.
Good luck,

Have you ever recognized the search feature of XDA developers forum?
If not, just try it.
And will see that it works fine ... with all of your keywords you just listed in your post.
I just had a look into the "Galaxy S II Original Android Development" forum and found:
cm7 => http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1112916
... and many many custom kernels (Hellcat's, Siyah, SpeedMod, CF-Root, etc.)
And for Themes, there is an own forum => http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1059
Sorry mate, but you have to take some time and search what you want to install by yourself.
Good luck !
