If you read around the forums you would have read that there is currently no way to unlock the CID for free. Only way is on www.imei-check.co.uk for £20. We are currently working towards a soltuion however.

Just got me an I-mate K-JAM with WM5.
It is both CID/SIM unlocked as reported by WST 4.2.2

I am using it on T-mobile.
I would like to upgrade it to WM6 or WM6.1 in as easy steps as possible.
Since it is G4 and CID unlocked, do I still need to do the SoftSPL or HardSPL on it as some guides say?
Can I just load a new ROM ? Please tell me which one(s) I should look at ? And will they keep my IPL/SPL at 2.16 ?

if it is unlocked you should be able to load it no prob hard spl will cid unlock (what you say your phone already is so you shouldn't need it).... but you will no for sure when you try and flash.... you won't be able to. as for ipl spl not sure depends on the rom you'll have to check with the developer.

A G4 device cannot be CID unlocked,you are wrong here,WST_4.2.2 will never read and confirm a G4 phone as CID unlocked.Run the WST_4.2.2 and read carefully,it'll definitely confirm it CID locked.

Is it locked or unlocked? Am I doing anything wrong? Is there another way ( other than flashing ) to see if it is locked or unlocked ?
Dont pay WST any attention, your phone IS NOT CID unlocked, G4 devices CAN NOT be CID unlocked, they can only be made to think that they are.
What you need to do is apply HardSPL to your phone, which will make your IPL and SPL read 2.26.0001 and 2.26.olip or something similiar(read the thread on HardSPL for the specifics), you can then upgrade to any G4 safe Windows Mobile 6 or 6.1 ROM that is availible here. I recommend using the latest TNT version(20273), as it is currently the most stable version available.
I have made a guide that is available in the G4 section that includes some screenshots and all of the neccesary programs to get you up and running. You just need to download it, and the ROM of your choice and off you go!

I HAVE XO1HT SPL 1.06 what tool i can use to downgrade spl to 1.04 i see marvn'x guide but all the download site not found if any body could give me the right tool to donwgrade spl to 1.04 ineed to unlock my phone im a newbi i can read but im not familiar with the tools if anyone could guide me and give me link to what software i should use...

I dont know exactly the problems with softbank devices but as far as I understand everything you need to know to SIM unlock it is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=293665 and here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=301952. Tell if is usefull.

Sorry but i didn't get it properly? Are you saying you have a Gene whose IPL says Test Build IU? How did you found out the IPL?
