Hi all!
I baught the x10 mini pro to my girlfriend on christmas and i installed pc companion on my vista pc, however i can't download the update to 2.1 (sorry can't install this application. Please try later)
So i'm done with it and i want to download it (hopefully from here) and upgrade it!
I know i should search but i don't have time because i want to give it to her before new year's eave!
Please can somebody point me to a method/thread/guide to do the update asap!
BTW, how much mb will remain for app installation after update?
And is it still rootable?! (mabe with z4root?!)

Why do you not search, there is many threads about it. There will be a update in october with 2.1

sorry for my bad english at first , but i dont know how to update , they talk about ( xrecovery - wipe - Cyanogenmod - MiniCM6 ) but i dont know what all of that and i see on youtube but i try to restart my phone and press BACK button like they did in video but its nothing happen , its open normally , plz i need that so much by step by step plz
I think they were talking about the official update to 2.1, which you can get through the Sony-Ericsson PC Companion. There's no need to deal with xRecovery or miniCM. Just open PC Companion, connect your phone and it shoud check for updates. And then follow the instructions on the monitor

I bought an X10 Mini about 2 weeks ago with a Cell Phone Plan to my operator Entel.
I was checking the news about the new OS, but seriously I think that this update it's gonna be really late around here.
The reason why I'm writing this post it's because I need some help about how I can install Android 2.1 on my device, like baby steps...
I know that first of all I have to Root my cellphone, and then I Have to install a program tha let me install an especific ROM, but no all the programs area available for my Android Market area...
Can anybody help me with this??

Hi guys. sorry for starting a new thread, im a desire owner, but my friend has just bought a x10 mini, it came with donut, am i right in assuming the eclair update is out yet? my friend is having trouble donwloading the update from the sony servers, when ever he tried it returns the error, could not contact update server (or somthing like that).
anyway my question is, is it possible to download the update from another source and flash it from sd? If so could someone give me a download link and also tell me how to enter bootloader ect on the xperia as i know nothing about it. your help is much apreciated guys
at this time there nothing like flash from SD for the X10 series!, the most easy way for your friend is install PC Companion on other computer and other ISP the try to update, also check if the update is present for that kit from the config menu.
U.K eclair should be out for most U.K mini's now..
If your friend is having trouble search the Mini thread for Bin4ry's Flashtool, you can download the U.K 2.1 firmware and install with his flashtool on a windows P.C

I need to update to android >froya so some apps i want to use will work.
I've rooted and superuser'd my phone but cant get xrecovery working or beyond that to update to latest version.
Can anyone help, has anyone done this?

I want my x10 mini flash back to its original stock rom which now is 2.2 cm6 … i used the PC companion "repair phone" method but it appears that it can't be done with Window 8 and this really make me feel so frustrated! Then i try to use the SEUS, but i found that there is no x10 mini in the list of update
So i hope sombody can help me with suggest me any other ways to flash my x10 mini back to 2.1…
