Hi,
I have upgrade to 2.09.
It works with TomTom, but I was unabel to use others applications.
So I went back to 2.08 and Towa´s solution

Hi
Nothing prevents from using the 2.09 and Towa's patch I think!
For me everything works, with and without for the moment (tomtom, activesync ..)
I just tried this and it seems to work perfectly with my Socket BT GPS completely doing away with the need for Towa's patch. I deleted the pairing and created it again to be sure it was installed 'as intended' and then selected Bluetooth GPS device from the TomTom menu. Tried it 3 or 4 times and it seems to be working fine.
What ever I try I can not get my Globalsat BT GPS working in Alturion 5.3 with i-mate 1.72. However I can see the responce of my GPS blue LED when I switch on Alt. with the correct com setting!
I tried e.g. hard-resets with/without WM installation of com5, with/without BTHTools installation of com7 and any combination (all with fresh Alt. installation, no other applications)
Beam "receive all incoming" is always off
TT3.03 however works fine in all conditions (installed after I try Alt.) with settings: SiRF Bluetooth/Bluetooth GPS
If anyone has Alturion 5.3 working with 1.72 ROM please let me know the details of your config e.g.:
- version of Alturion (I have 5.3.1.4 and don't trust some updates)
- BTHTools version/ port
- WM com port
- what GPS
- any special utils
or anything else you think is helpfull to try
Anyone knows if TT "SiRF Bluetooth/Bluetooth GPS" works via the serial port or does this somehow works differently???
Thanx for any suggestion.
Ronald

I have exactly the same ROM like yours !?. Is your "i-blue GPS" a SiRF II type?
The 5.3 upgrade you can download from www.alturion.com with this exe http://www.alturion.com/update/AlturionAutoUpdate21.exe It probably only works if you are a registered user.

here its info about my bluetooth gps
I have 1.72 and Alturion PRO 5.3.
My Bt antenna is Emtac.
It works fine in this configuration.
When you make your connection to the BT antenna , do it through the bluetooth settings on your qtek where you activate the COM5 outbound. Then bond your device with the antenna.
it should work then.
I have flashed my Gene with the WM 6.0 ROM by mun_rus, everything was working just fine or lest say it was gr8 until lately
I have recently purchased the SatGuide GPS kit which comes with the navigation software , a few maps and a Bluetooth GPS dongle.
I successfully installed the software and the Maps but could not get the GPS dondle to work as it showed an error everytime i tried to pair it with my P3400 . and the instruction malual said that i should have a GPS port present n my cell. Currently my cell does not have the External GPS option under START>SETTINGS>SYSTEM. Earlier when i was on WM 5.0 , i used to have the GPS port.
Can some body help me!!!!!
My Rs.7000/- are on the stakes.
is there a tutorial to get the GPS functioning on the titan? I have flashed the bootloader and radio and rom with the dcd kitchen. It finds the gps but it wont get signal from anything. Trying to get trackme to function. Ideas?

I use stock rom 1.66 and latest radio rom. After installing few programs (5), I got this:
- when I open FM Radio, it starts searching for stations, finds none and then closes with no message.
There is a way to solve it, but needs a hard reset. I am tired to reinstall my phone every 3 days, so I am asking the HD2 doctors:
Can this be solved without hard reset ?
(Another post on this site suggests that the fm radio files can be replaced. I have the files, but I need a step by step, because I'm clueless)
You do know that the headphones are integral, as they are the aerial for the FM Radio.
I have had different results with different headphones or even a audio cable with a 3.5 jack on one side (and setting the radio to output to the rear speaker).
Some locations can be dead spots for FM Radio.
Instead of searching, actually set the frequency to a known radio station. I have on occasion been able to pick up stations (that I knew of) that the search just skipped past.
It's not a headphones or location problem. And I cannot use any button on FM Radio interface. It just say "search" and then dissapears.
More on the problem side, there were stations already saved in the FM Radio interface and all of them are now gone !
To be more exact, first I tried to install latest official Rom 3.xx. I didn't like it at all so I got back official rom 1.66. Then I saw FM radio problem. I've made a Task29 and reinstall rom 1.66. The problem was gone and FM Radio worked gorgeusly. After reinstalling all the programs I previously had, FM Radio dead !
Are you using any backup software? It is fine to do full system backup and restore if you are using the same ROM. Some backup software overwirtes the registry and on a different ROM this can cause no end of problems.
You could hard reset your phone then test the FM-Radio. Install a program, switch off & on then test the FM-Radio. Repeat till either everything works or you find the program that causes the problem.

I'm using backup only for PIMs and Messages. No registry modification.
I already took into account your suggestion and I'll do it next thing, but I hoped that there is someone who can help me revert FM Radio software and drivers to an initial state.
No one has a clue about FM Radio software ???
