Please, one question: do you know if this dock is compatible with Advent Vega? Thanks!
I don't know if it is suitable

I dont know if it is compatible with Advent Vega. But the Advent Vega and Zpad looks Very similar.I think that might be malata OEM products.
You can find a guy who has the DOCK from UK. ask them this thing.
Says they cannot process commercial or business credit... I'm only trying to use a debit card. Odd. Maybe its automatically trying to run as credit because its a MasterCard as well? Bah.. oh well.
Why not paypal?

Ah, sorry to hear that. Why not pay it with paypal?
As far as I know, you can use the credit card (VISA or MasterCard) and paypal.

That's true... I could use PayPal and have PayPal process from my card instead.. I stopped using PayPal because it wouldbtake forever to transfer money from my bank, but I forgot they gave that option now, which seems to work well. I'm going to order this weekend now.. lol thanks.
Edit: any comments on viewing angle and how steady the gtab is in this dock? I was thinking I might be able to throw some Velcro on the bottom of this thing and the dash of my car and use it as a car mount as well if it wasn't too obstructive to view. I always use it for music. Anything is safer than trying to quickly reach for my passenger seat at red lights. Lol
Based on my recent experience shopping with aliexpress.com, AKA AliBaba, i would recommend anyone to be very/very careful placing an order with them.
I placed my order on 12/11/10, paid by paypal and i am still waiting for item to arrive; the company has so far sent me three emails automatically extending the delivery date and i just asked for a refund; they extended the delivery date again.
What is strange is that the company uses what looks like the standard official paypal login screen; The money was taken out of my bank account with a paypal referral # and yet my account with paypal does not show such charge, so i am pretty sure i've been scammed of my money.
I just contacted paypal about this transaction and they must be investigating this merchant.

There are many fraud companies. But I think all this will end soon. Because it2steve will give us surprises. You will get the desired product from him . And fast.
as long as you use aliexpress your money is pretty much safe!its when you deal with the manufacturer directly on alibaba.com u have to worry!! on ali express you dont release payment til you receive the item and verify it with aliexpress! and there is a feedback system like ebay on aliexpress im not saying its impossible to get scammed but alot harder!!! check it out remember alibaba you deal with the companies directly ali express your order goes through them and is like paypal in a way! your money doesnt get released til you verify you recived your order and its not damaged and works correctly!! if not you can open a dispute and get a refund or a discount!!

I too believe this to be true. In my (very few) dealings with with aliexpress its was very structured as far as if/when/how I received my product. The vendors there rely heavily on a feedback system much as ebay does.
I think the part that we all hate it the thought of waiting 21 days for our toys. I'm the same way which is why I paid 2 1/2 times what most are paying for my first dock. I wanted it and wanted it now.
The idea is to open a good line of communication with someone where the product is that is trustworthy, delivers, and sticks to it. I am personally working on getting some stock here (as well as APX_)for us but prefer not to speak about it until it's in my hand. That's just easier all the way around.
Ok guys, i'll ammend my post.
I was just contacted by Paypal who informed me that the transaction is listed with them as well as a referral number which, tried as i did, i could not find originally in my Paypal account, so i'll give the merchant the benefit of the doubt.
I understand the item is being shipped from China for a minimum shipping fee, but must this merchant start sending customers emails within one week of purchase with links to contest it ? So far i've received at least five such emails, which is unnerving...
Ordered mine, its easily the best deal I could find out there for the dock. Thanks for the heads-up on the price drop.
In my opinion, the aliexpress pay system seems to besecure so far, giving the seller a set time to ship the product of 3 days. Of course it sucks having to wait around 15 days for the item to arrive here from China.
UPDATE: 10 JAN 2011 10:27 PM PST - Just received the tracking number and the claim that the item has shipped. Doesn't look like a scam, but I'll feel better once the dock's in my hands.
I have a few extra docks

keeping you guys updated!
No body want to get it directly from your place quickly but like to waiting a long time from far away? I don't think so...
So I ordered mine on the 10th, and received 2 tracking numbers, but none of them work. Has anyone else ordered from this and did they receive the products they ordered?
Its just been 2 weeks and I am getting nervous, I can at least count on paypal or alibaba to get me my money back if this was a scam I hope.

Hi there
Has anyone who has imported a galaxy tab 10.1 from the states to Europe/UK comment on their experience please, ie how much was duty, tax, VAT, where from etc.
Its just that Im planning on buying one from ebay US since the tab isnt probably going to arrive here in France till after september and I've already been waiting to buy a tab since the original 7 inch tab came out and cant wait anymore!
cheers
You will pay a hefty premium on eBay, sellers look like they are charging way over retail, plus tax when it arrives with you.
It's a bit early for anyone to have any experiences yet, unless they got one from Best Buy in NY last week, but then they'd have probably brought it back in person and may have avoided taxes.
I ordered mine from Amazon via a mail forwarder, should be with me by the middle of next week. Expecting to pay around ~25% of the value in taxes and duty, so anything less than that is a bonus. Still works out to about the same price as the wifi Xoom over here, so I'm happy.
You will need to do research for your country as to what is charged if you want to have any hope of an exact price.
Great I found this thread !!
Amazon isn't having issues shipping to mail forwarders right? Because best buy is, also amazon selling white or metallic grey?
thanks in advance
Cheers
Sent from my Galaxy Tab 7" using XDA App
There is no import duty on the tablet in the UK, but you will pay VAT at 20%. A guy on these forums posted about www.bundlebox.com which is a forwarder. Apparently they offer warranty cover as well. We are discussing it over here:

White are BB exclusive so if it's from anywhere but BB they are metallic grey plasic made to look like metal.
Which mail forwarder do you use?
And which method did Amazon use to ship your item to the mail forwarder?
I have setup mail forwarder (BongoUS.com), but I don't sign the USPS form 1583. So, the mail forwarder cannot accept item shipped via USPS. Anything else, UPS or FedEx are OK.

I'm using Comgateway as the freight forwarder to ship my tab to Australia. I've used them several times and the service was great. They are based in Portland, Oregon..so you don't have to pay any state sales tax. They will ship your item through DHL.
Amazon used ONTRAC when they sent my order and it reached CGW on Friday morning.

Ok, so what will you do if the item is faulty?
You are asking about warranty
Of course this is the risk for people who import because as we all knew, the GT10.1 does not have international warranty.
It is a gamble, but it is not the end of the day.
You can return it, but you must pay the shipment your-self. More or less like this. Fried forwarder will handle return.
So, it is your choice.
It is a big gamble in terms of cost. If it is OK, then good! If it is not OK, it means you must spend more money (return processing).
NOTE: I checked comGateway.com, it seems OK, but I don't find any business address or customer support phone numbers. This makes me think to use their service, although it should be OK (I read some reviews). But, I want to be able to contact them quickly (by phone) if anything bad happens.

Electronics are late & overpriced here, so I guess it's a risk I'm willing to take when importing stuffs If, the product is faulty...most probably will try to contact samsung or return it to amazon.
Ive been looking into the forwarder Viaddress. Has anyone else used them or heard anything about them? They advertise themselves as being much better than the others. Also Im not keen on filling out the 1583 form so Im thinking about using Tigerdirect as they use UPS to ship items as opposed to Amazon where you cant choose your carrier.
update: from what Ive read, Viadress doesnt seem to be a very trustworthy service. I think Im going to go with one of the ones thats been mentioned here instead.
I am going to use TigerDirect as well for UPS shipment.
And for the forwarder, I use BongoUS.com. This is my first time experience.
So far they are ok, support responded my questions quickly, also checked their live chat. And they have phone number where you can contact, also the company address is clearly visible in their website.
https://bongous.com/contact.php
However, to use that, you must pay one time fee $5 (no monthly fee) and your credit card will be verified (by sending a small amount $0.1 - $1.0 and you need to tell them that).

Im looking at using Bundlebox now. They seem very good. All tax/duties are included. Its going to cost me 559euros all up for the 32GB model. I think thats pretty good. How much is it costing you? btw I think we're having the same conversation over 2 threads lol
I don't like the included tax with the forwarder.
Because there is chance their calculation is wrong? Or double charged by the tax office in our country?
So, I want the forwarder to not include the tax. The custom will charge the tax anyway.
Seems safer to me.
I have no idea how much in total because I don't know how to calculate the tax in NL.
I could assume VAT 20% though ... shipping cost to NL would be around $50. .... So, ($500 + 20% * $500) = $600 + $50 shipping = $650 USD = 454 euro ... not bad.
But again, I don't know the tax/duty, never done this before.

There is no duty in France but there is VAT/tax. Calculated on their site its 95euro, which is around the 18.6% VAT charged on goods+shipping costs etc. So its correct. And even if when it arrives I have to pay more, I can just refuse it (unless its only a couple of euros)
On the bundlebox site they show you the tax/duty by country
From their site for NL:
http://www.dutycalculator.com/help_center/Import-duty-taxes-when-importing-into-the-Netherlands/
Thanks for the calculator, I found there is no duty as well. So, it's good
I will order this evening at TigerDirect.
And you? Made up your mind?

Hi guys, I though it would be a good idea to start a threat just for everyone who placed an order through Play.com UK and paid full price.
We can use this thread to keep everyone updated on the progress of their ordered, and any updates etc; whether they are able to get it at the discounted price, full refund, partial refund etc.
I ordered a 16GB this morning at 8:30am, and order was confimed at 2:44pm and sent to packing for delivery.
Price - £349
ordered at about 5am this morning
order confirmed at 05:57
packed at about 4pm this afternoon
16GB @ £349
Mailed them asking to cancel and advised I will source elsewhere for a much cheaper price... (I imagine its too late though)
Looks like Play.com are out of stock now. I can't find the HP touchpad 16/32gb anywhere on their site. It was there a few hours ago.
I'm also waiting on a Touchpad from play.com which I bought at full price earlier today.
My gut instinct having dealt with Play earlier on similiar issues is that we'll all be returning our TP's for a full refund
Still I'm going to remain optimistic..

I'd recommend not cancelling your order just yet.
you'll be in a better position to negotiate with them once you have the product.
If you cancel before they despatch it, they won't lose anything, they'll just send it to someone else who was able to place an order.
Once you've got it, hopefully we'll be in a better position a few days after all this commotion, and they may be willing to refund the difference.
otherwise they have to go through the hassle or receiving product back, and then arranging to sell it on - probably at the reduced price.
I'm going to wait to see if mine actually comes through, then assess the situation then.
If they don't openly offer the refund, I'll put a complaint to them, and to the FSA.
their returns policy gives you 7 days to request the return or raise an issue - this is different to 7 days to actually return the item to them.
The complaint etc could last as long as you want, as long as you raise the issue within 7 days.
we should have a strong argument if we refer them to the fact they were aware on Monday that the supplier had significantly reduced the price, and that a large number of supplier not just in UK, but all across the world had reduced their prices to fall in line, and they are being unfair against the consumer by acting this way.
We could also quote things we can get - regarding their comments on Monday evening that they were aware of the price discount and were working on it, yet they chose to do nothing.
Ordered as mine was in my cart, however at time of checkout it stated not in stock.
I doubt I'll get it. however I'm also one of the wait and see's
There may be hope for us yet.
In the US - HP have agreed to refund customers the difference of all ordered purchased within 60 days of the price change.
HP are also 'leaning' on companies to offer the price match themselves.
So if Play.com don't crumble under the pressure over the next few days - maybe there is hope from HP directly.
http://www.zdnet.com/blog/mobile-ne...efund-price-differences-for-early-buyers/3857
HP apparantly informed retailers on Monday that the prices will be reduced, and requested that all retailers offer to refund the difference in the sale price.
HP also advise that it can take a few days for all retailers to act on this.
called play.com in the end and they said it was too late to stop dispatch anyway (wanted to save myself a couple of £ in postage to be honest) - they have sent me my return code and marked it as potential return
so i still have to wait for it anyway...
but the chap I spoke to I did would they not do a price comparison, or are they even considering lowering the price but he said nope. Full refund or keep at full price basically.
@danlat1415 - do you have any of that information or anyway to process that with HP as I'll consider keeping it if thats the case! I wonder if we can ping an e-mail to HP pronto to try and get some clarification from them that we can apply for refunds if the retailer won't honour it...
If I was HP and I'd told everyone to cut the price on Monday, and found out retailers were basically ignoring them (probably to pocket the profits) I'd be a bit peeved -
out of this experience, I'll definitely not be considering Play.com for anything further apart from as a last resort...
sounds like @Analogue Dude has had a similar experience before... that's the feeling I am getting now too.
I'm looking into what HP are doing for UK customers and I'll keep you updated.
It's still very early, and once order are sent out and customers start complaining in large numbers - they may change their mind.
Also depends on what action HP take over the next few days.
Play.com don't want to get bad publicity, and if all other retailers are honouring the price change, it'll be bad for Play.com to try and profit from the limited stock they have - compare to the bad publicity they'll get.
I've been hunting around the net, and this isn't the only forum complaining about Play.com's decision, so strength in numbers...
I guess the only real outside chance of getting a partial refund is if every customer who bought a TP from them returns it this week. Hopefully the logistical nightmare/expense of checking every return will push Play into offering the refunds.
As I said earlier I doubt it happens though, Play are a horrible company to do business with, I haven't used them for years and if it wasn't for this deal I wouldn't have touched them with a foot long stylus.
I'd recommend anyone who has ordered from Play.com to complete the form on the attached link for the BBC Watchdog program.
we may not get anywhere with it, but it's best to put as much pressure as we can on Play.com to honour the discounted price.

Really hope so or HP kick their ass (which I doubt will happen)
I got the impression of a very non-caring company when I called them up - to be honest, I had a good impression of them before - but only used them a handful of times... I guess its because I never had to _deal_ with them properly before and just did an order which came and had no issues...

done that - not sure how much help it will give though...
i also wonder though is it worth putting in a 'request to return' with play for everyone's who order has dispatched ? its too late to cancel, but if they have a _lot_ of requests to return and the main reason being the stupid prices... ?
Don't suppose there is a HP email addy to send concerns to? Wonder if they can confirm or deny possible refunds...
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA Premium App
As far as I know, Argos and Play.com were the only two retailers that hadn't yet offered the lower price (whether it be for a limited time, like Amazon)
But Argos has this morning now caved in and reduced their prices to £89 and £115.
This will hopefully help in the fight against Play.com
they are now the only hightreet retailer trying to greatly profit from this sale.
I'm waiting for an update from HP and I'll let you know. Waiting to hear back from their press office.
So far they have only confirmed that they'll refund direct customers, and credit the retailers.
Just waiting to find out if their credit customers of retailers who are refusing to refund the difference.
(if the retailer are being credited by HP, then they are severely taking advantage of the customer.)
As more developments happen each day, hopefully by the time the Touchpads arrive it'll all either be sorted or a lot clearer.
had an email from play.com this morning saying they would not refund the difference and only option was to keep or send it back for a full refund.... will post the email in a few
was looking for an e-mail form for hp too to submit my disappointment with play
Thank you for your reply.
We regret to inform you that we are not able to process a partial refund should there be a change of price for HP TouchPad 16GB webOS 3.0 WiFi 9.7 inch Tablet PC but we are more than willing accept the item back upon receipt for full refund.
We have two options to process a refund for this order.
First is to allow 15 banking days delivery time frame to take effect so we can provide a Not Received Claim Form and the second is to return the item upon receipt. The latter option will require a Returns Authorisation code which we will be happy to provide as soon as you contact us.
You also have the option to print a pre-payed label on-line. In order for you to return an order, please follow the step by step procedure which can be found on the link below:
http://www.play.com/Help.html?page=retn
This will prompt you to sign in on your PLAY.com account and choose the order you need to return.
We hope that this information is of some help to you. Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience this matter has caused you and thank you for your patience and valued custom.
Kind Regards,

Hi everyone, I was looking forward to join the I717 community but sadly, I don't think I'll be getting my Note because of some ******* who decided to rip off people thru ebay, I was so happy by the fact that I was getting a new Note, and now I'm trying to get my money back and the guy keeps giving excuses, ebay told me to wait until Saturday to open a didn't receive item case, but for what I know is gonna take some time, the bad thing is that I sold my Sensation and my T-Mobile's Galaxy S2 to be able to buy the Note and now I'm stuck with a Prepaid LG Flip phone. Beware when using ebay, don't wanna end up like me. Bad thing $600
Anyone here can point me on the right direction...
Dispute! If you paid with Paypal then you'll most likely recover your money.
Nothing you can do but wait.

Yes, I did used Paypal, guess youre right all I can do is wait... which is not easy when you spend that kind of amount, I am an a 28yr. DoD veteran (Sadly, because of an accident) I've dealt with situations that I never thought I'll ever witness, but I never been played like that.

Buyers are always covered. Which is tough for selling. But it gives buyers some confidence that they have some sort of recourse. Without buyers ebay can't survive, even with millions of sellers
Only way the seller can win the dispute, is if he can show tracking signature delivery to the registered pay pal address.
It takes 10 days at least, sorry to hear you have to go through this, it will just take some patience.
Try not to instigate or piss the seller off. Just keep it cool and let ebay/paypal work for you. At times they may end up sending you the item damaged on purpose, then the claiming gets harder.
I used Ebay to get mine and they were a great seller i believe their name was cellstoreusa and also got a 2 year squaretrade warranty as well I would just say next time make sure you are buying from those sellers who have the highest ratings, Im sorry this happened to you though i hope you get your money back

From what I heard, you have to use eBay for shipping in order for eBay to trust your tracking information. If you shipping the stuff youself without using eBay to produce shipping labels, you are SOL.
Not true.you have to use a shipper that provides online tracking our a method where deliver can be confirmed. You can use USPS with delivery confirmation, UPS with tracking, Fed Ex, DHL, etc.as long add you can show that it had tracking and show proof it was delivered via online for example. I am a Powerseller on EBay btw.

I'm not a powerseller. But I have around 56 feedback. 100% positive. This guy speaks the truth. you'll get your money back.

Don't worry. You will get your money back, but it will take some time. I got scammed some years ago. It took a few weeks of going back and forth with ebay, paypal, and the seller. Paypal finally awarded me the money. But (at that time) they could only award me from money that was in his account. That may have changed. Best of luck.
Can't provide any direction, but I"ll chime in with my own Note from ebay experience.
Won one on ebay last month, posted as "brand new". When I received it; no stylus, aftermarket rear cover, and aftermarket battery. Most likely stolen Returned and still waiting on refund.
Had a similar experience... Long time ago with a 300+ dollar phone
Hit that bastard up with a paypal claim.. No seller likes those. Keep all emails and records of attempts to contact. You are protected via paypal "xxxx.xx" amount of dollars

Sorry to hear that, sounds like you may have been sold a Best Buy demo unit. Those are usually missing the Stylus, battery door, but everything can be bought OEM except the box. No box to compare the IMEI usually is cause to be alert and weary.
I was offered a phone in that condition, while testing it, it would go into the orange demo screen and randomly show feature videos. But it can be reset via recovery.
I mostly buy my devices locally on Craigslist. Usually cheaper than ebay and I get to really test it out before paying. Not say youre guaranteed anything tho. Still a risk. YMMV
I've always wondered, how would PayPal get you your money back if the seller just closed their account (banking account)? Do they actually come out of pocket for you?
Yes they do..

years ago you were sol..not sure how it works now.
If OP paid by CC or bank to paypal to seller you can dispute the charge through them
If you paid with funds already in your paypal account you have to wait through the process unfortunately (a good reason why I always pay via one of my credit cards, and not my paypal balance)
Here is the link for the listing... It was listed as brand new/unopened, thanks everyone for the help and support.

I just sold my Iphone on Ebay and they are so anal about protecting the buyer, I was upset on how long I had to wait to get my money. Now I'm not that upset about it. If you do exactly what they want and either use Ebay to print yor shipping label or upload your tracking data immediatley, there's no way to get ripped off except maybe for missing items or defects. I didn't get my money until Ebay got confirmation of delivery. I then had to wait 4 days to get my money from Paypal. I don't know what takes so long for Paypal unless they try to mske a couple days interest off my money.

Hi guys,
I put my transformer prime on ebay yesterday at a buy it now price of £350 which I thought was fair considering the prime's condition. Someone bought it within about 6 hours which was great, however, he only has 1 feedback for a saw he bought in 2011.
He sent me this message over ebay:
Hi mate, Glad I won your item. I'm currently in U.K at the moment. Please email me at [email protected], confirming the exact condition of the item. I will be going for an appointment will be able to access my email from my iPhone, so email me at [email protected] using the item number as the subject. cheers
seems dodgy. Only in the UK for a bit? going for an appointment? Using a freeweb email address? His address checks out as being from the UK
I am aware of people reversing payment on paypal once theyve received the product and I don't know how to defend myself from that happening. I can't afford to be scammed as I'm a student and need the money to buy a laptop as my other one packed up yesterday.
Any advice would be great,
Cheers, Nick
Did he send payment? Did he pay with Paypal?
Just make sure that you ship the tablet with tracking and insurance. You might consider doing a proof of delivery (signature) as well. As long as you can prove it was delivered to the address he specified he can't come back later and say he never got the item. The tracking, signature confirmation and insurance all cost a few bucks extra, but when dealing with a $350 item and a dodgy customer they are well worth the extra fee.

I'd be concerned about wanting to "confirm the exact condition of the item". If he wanted to do that he should have contacted you before bidding, not after winning. Also, whatever precautions you may take, if he leaves the country after he has your hardware in hand, you will not have much recourse if things go sour later-even if you have all the documentation to prove your side of things. Any way you could get him to pay cash?
On the yahoo account, I wouldn't be too concerned about that. I know lots of people who use yahoo, gmail, etc as their primary email accounts. This keeps things so that your email account is not tied to your ISP and you can keep your address if you change service providers. Also, I personally keep a separate Gmail account that I only use on ebay so that I don't have to give out my "real" address which I only give to friends and family.
thanks for your replies guys,
no, I have not received any money into my paypal account and am waiting for a response from him. Just a quick question regarding postal insurance: Do I insure my tablet up to the value of £350 and receive that if it all goes wrong? Why doesn't everyone just claim things went missing and both parties win?
also to the guy above, that bothered me too. The item's condition was extensively detailed in my description with photos and everything
cheers, Nick
With insurance you specify the sale price of the item and if it goes missing you collect that amount of money from the postal service which you then use to repay the purchaser.
The reason that everyone doesn't just say things are "missing" is because doing so is a crime punishable with prison time if you are found out. Also, it is unlikely that you will be able to get a stranger to reliably lie for you.

No. The worse case scenario is that you don't buy insurance and the package gets lost or damaged in which case you are out of a tablet and have to refund the $350 out of your own pocket because your item was never delivered.
(Total loss= Tablet + $$350)
2nd worst scenario is the tablet is lost, but you paid $5 (or whatever) for the shipping insurance so you don't have to refund the purchaser out of your own pocket but you are still missing a tablet.
(Total loss= Tablet + $5)
When shipping relatively expensive items overseas it is always worth paying an extra $10 or so to the shipping company for insurance, detailed tracking and signature confirmation. This is doubly true if you don't trust the buyer which seems to be the case with this guy.
I sell my prime with dock, with 399 euro. I buy this in aprile. 2years waranty. I never use this tablet, and i want to sell. I change 2 prime, for defective problems. This is OK. For link send PM.

oh I see, thus keeping the cash the buyer has given me.
This does sound like a scam to me, I once had very similar emails when I advertised a car.
I wouldn't part with your Prime until you have the money safely. I don't think you're covered by eBay payment protection (because his feedback is low), but might be worth checking with eBay customer service how protected you are.
Good luck!

Pretty much. According to eBay rules if your product was lost and not delivered you would have to refund them their money (Paypal would happily do it for them without your consent). If you bought insurance, the postal service would pay you the listed value of the tablet so you would get $350 (minus whatever you paid for insurance) and the purchaser would get their $350 back as well.
Insurance is ALWAYS worthwhile, especially for items over $100 and often for items as low as $30 if you have a bad feeling about the buyer.
I've used Ebay a LOT.
1 - Never send without a payment
2 - NEVER, I repeat NEVER EVER accept a payment through PayPal that they used a credit card to make. Reason? People claim that they were "frauded" and do a chargeback. PayPal retracts the money from you and you are out everything.
3 - If you receive a payment email from the buyer NEVER trust them. EVER. Go directly to your paypal through your web browser, never through their links. Reason? They have fake paypal pages set up to make you think you got the payment. I've seen this more times than I can count...it almost suckered me the first time it was that good.
4- ALWAYS get insurance, tracking number and mandatory signature upon delivery. DO NOT EVER send without any of these. Period.
5 - Make sure to ship through whatever government shipping options you have if available. Canada Post, USPS, whatever...this usually avoids brokerage fees (which you can apply to be your own broker and get the item anyway, but it's a headache and a HUGE scam shipping companies LOVE to employ for extra cash)
6 - If the guy says he's from somewhere reasonably local (UK, USA, Canada) then states "I am overseas working in Africa on a geological survey ship, can you please send to my cousin in Nigeria" tell him to **** off and repost it.
7 - EVERY fake buyer will send a template email "Thanks guy, I am happy to be winning your item off of ebay and can not wait to get it! I am so excited!", it never sounds conversational and never mentions the specific item. You can send them back an email that asks them specific questions and they'll answer with another template "Glad to hear from you, I will send the money requested and $50 extra dollars if you send the item as soon as possible through the fastest way".
If the person on the other end can't have a conversation, even in halted English, ignore them and move on. They are a scammer, usually from Africa, using templates to try to scam. Chances are they can't speak a lick of English, or even count. They entice with excited sounding emails offering extra money above and beyond the asking price, then send a fake email that they paid you with a link inside that takes you to a fake page.
This screams scam, I'd back away from it right now. If your selling on Ebay make sure you have someone with atleast 6 to 12 months history, and with a good rating. People will buy a bunch of crap $1 cables so they can raise up there rating and then start scamming on big name items.
When I sold my iPhone 3G years ago I ended up with someone offering to pay me and paypal but wanted me to ship to his Niece in another province... it was a gift and she'd be soooooo excited... apparently....
I walked away from that deal quickly.
Put it up on craigs list, meet in a public place and get cash.
I would run the other direction. This sounds no good.
Hey guys,
I'm looking to see if anyone is planning to do development on the $9/$19 Mustangscorp phones that are being shipped in December? If any developers are interested, they are selling the high end model (A-10) for $19 until they have 6000 pre-orders. The phone is pretty impressive for the price. Its got a Snapdragon 615 1.8GHz Octa-Core and 4GB RAM so it should be a pretty quick device.
Give it a look and weigh in! I'm hoping there will be some interest.

I'm wondering the same thing I just pre-ordered 2 A-10s and 2 E-1s. Does anyone know anything about this company? When were these phones first put up for pre-order? Thanks in advance for the help.
They're waiting for that perfect moment to strike at you. You should read their refund policy, it said something like they won`t refund you if their "company close down", got hit by a natural disaster or a terrorist attack. (theyre not responsible for refunding). I refunded mine, cause a few days ago their server went down and I thought I`ve lost everything and I got scammed, luckily it was done through paypal and I got my refund. You should get your refund if you purchase from that website, nothing comes with a cheap price with good quality. If you google their CEO and other staff members you`ll see nothing. GOOD LUCK its your choice your money.
Bump this up. Finally found this thread, been looking for some sign that im not the only one who was looking at these lol.
I had a couple ordered and i got an email this morning from this company saying my paypal payment was on hold so they canceled and returned my money. The money did in fact come back to my Paypal but I'm a little uncertain whether i should try to order again or whats up. The website is pretty sketchy tbh but i took a shot on pre ordering a few weeks ago
If anyone else has pre ordered can you chime in
somethings up here
yeah i did as well.
Ordered an A-10 and it mysteriously got canceled this morning. Cash got refunded too. Went to go re order and now all the phones are set to $0 so something is definitely going on. No real answers from the customer service either via email. Don't bother using their phone numbers listed. The first one is a bogus text me number and the second went to another company's receptionist that was all too well aware of the random people looking for some clarity on their budget phones.
I'm thinking scam or some type of shell corp. Who knows.
Same thing happened to me as the others above. Received an email about my Paypal payment being on hold and that they tried to contact me about it. Checked Paypal and saw I was refunded for my purchases. Not sure what is going on, it does sound a little fishy.
Glad I'm not the only one. Fishy for sure. Kinda upset lol, was looking forward to testing this new cheapo phone out
In the beginning of Nov, the company switched payment to something else (no longer accepting Paypal). Now, their facebook page is gone. Geez. I can't believe how far people can do to scam $$.
Seems like a scammer website now their website is down as well? WTF man.
