Hello, I've installed an modified zImage and rootfs.
Now my Archos doesn't start anymore.
The LED only flashes for one second.
Please, can someone help me.
If it runs again, I won't do anything in SDE.
EDIT:
It runs again.
Sorry, please delete the topic.
Have you tried plugin in the power cable?
No, I have waited ca. 10 min, and then it bootet again and I formated the Device.

Please help me.
My O2 Atom can not into bootloader and do not work at all, when turned on, only until the starting logo only.
I've tried to Semi-Brick Atom, but still can not.
What should I do to improve it?
Thank you.
Sorry my bad english.
DEAD.. but only for awhile
this happened when I tried to flash this Bajok ROM.
I'm not new to flashing, but that kinda make me 'a little' careless this time.
I transferred the .dio file using active sync explorer while doing other stuff with my laptop.. soon after, I see that the file transfer is done, cause the window is closed. As usual, I do the rec button + reset ritual and flashed away..
I again continued my other works and got mesmerized in it for a moment or two.
Half an hour later I realized that my atom has been showing bootscreen for quite some time..
My first failed flash! Well, I thought, this is it...
Just to make sure, I pulled out the battery, put it back again and reboot.. still the same stuckness... Then, I figured that since this was caused by ROm flashing failure, why dont check the .dio file? So I did. I pulled out the memory card, put it in a card reader and explore it.. I notice that the .dio file is only 18 megs.. whatta..? The original .dio is like 70 megs, so it must had been transferred it incomplete.
So with high hope, I retrasferred the file, this time completely.
I inserted again the battery and repeated the rec button + reset ritual..
Boot loader appeared and flashed away like a charm!
Somebody please Help!
I have an O2 xda Denim it hangs at the starting screen itself and yeah i searched for the minisd flash method... can somebody give me a link or the fles and method needed to do the flash!
PLEASE.
Hi, I followed the instructions to root my my archos device, and everything seemed to work fine, but my tablet is still on the uruk droid boot screen, and is stick on switching to rootfs....
Can i get some feeback on what I did wrong?
Are you 100% positive that it's stuck? In my experience it usually takes a bit of time to boot urukdroid compared to stock archos firmware.
To boot into stock, hold down Volume Down - Button on boot and select Android

My Archos 101 got same issues as you whenever the DC jack plug in
and I solve it by remove DC plug during booting process!
I can second the theory of it taking a while but I suppose you must have tried waiting and waiting?
I received a G Tablet which had been used for development work for a few months. The person giving it to me (not the dev who has left) said the tablet was working fine, but had just become frozen at a reboot after he had tried to erase personal data from the tablet. I asked him if he had erased the sd card and he said "maybe" but that he couldn't remember. I powered the tablet on and sure enough it displayed two lines on a black background, one of which said something like loading kernel.
Now, these tablets were all rooted, and had Android 2.3 on them, via one of the ROMs discussed here. I don't know which one however.
So, I tried using NVflash to flash the tablet back to a stock ROM. Tablet then got stuck in a boot loop; I would see the Viewsonic logo, then the G Tablet logo, and then this would go on forever.
So I shut it down and tried again. This time Nvflash failed almost at the last step after having written most of the image.
And so here I am now, with a totally dead tablet. I cannot power it on. No combination of power or volume up/down buttons work. The only sign of life is when I plug it into its charger, and see the charging light come on.
I confirmed again with the person who gave me the tablet that the device was working just fine before it froze at a reboot after his erasing attempts.
Is there a way out of this? I hope so. Please help!
Thanks very much
Paul

I would try popping it open and unplugging the internal battery then plugging it back in. Also hit the internal reset button while you're in there. It's pretty hard to actually kill one of these tablets. PM me if you need any other help.
help
Started my own thread, didnt mean to hijack. =)
Thanks, I will try removing the battery and let you know.
As for NVflash, I believe the latest version is here:
http://www.slatedroid.com/topic/171...-using-either-11-or-12-based-images-g-tablet/
However in my case I have no idea whether I have 1.1 or 1.2 and there is no way to determine this. Which one should I choose?
Paul
Doesn't matter for NVFlash, just download all of the flash files again because it might be that you have a bad download. Also make sure you have the right drivers installed since the drivers that automatically install when you plug it in sometimes don't work.
I'm pretty sure that if it boots past the birds, the hardware is working okay, so you should run the FORMAT version for NVFlash and then I'd run just a CWM flash setup and see if you can get into CWM and delete the partitions from within that.
The best thing to flash as far as ROMs would be Bekit's 1105 which is stock OTB with a few key changes. If you can't get the 1105 to play nice, you might really have some hardware problems.
I would go with the 1.2 BL, it will give you access to the newer roms as it appears that dev for the 1.1 BL seems to be dwindeling. I upgraded mine to 1.2 the other day and it worked great.
I already tried downloading it from the original post, but it says daily traffic limit reached. Already tried waiting two days, but the error remains. Could someone please upload it somewhere, or provide a working link? Help would be much appreciated, as Adam's method is my last hope.
Thanks in advance!

This is how I downloaded it a few weeks ago.
Good luck!
Thank you for your help, I managed to download and run the ubuntu recovery, but now I ended up being stuck at the "n" read forever screen. I already tried the 8 failed boots method, nothing changed. Any idea what to do now?
ouch.
It ran without a hitch for me (after I got it on card big enough to handle, sheesh). Head back to Adam's thread, I'm sure someone will be able to help you there.
After you put in the card you made, you did see ubuntu running, right?
When booting from Adams recovery sd it will take a long time before you even get to the 100 second countdown timer (about 5 MINUTES). It takes an additional 20 minutes or so to format, write zeros to all the partitions snd rewrite each with data for 1.4.0. THE SCREEN WILL TIME OUT at some point in the process and i found you can just press the N button to turn it back on to monitor progress. When it is finished, the script will tell you to take out the SD and then the tablet will reset and go into a recovery and reset the firmware. I had an issue reregistering when the B and N screen came up so i skipped registration by holding volume up and touching the left and right corners of the screen at the play video screen. A factory button appears and after pressing that, you hold volume up and touch right corner of screen and an option to skip Oobe registration appears. Skip oobe and then you are ready to root. Personally i made a CM7 root card and booted with it. I THEN INSTALLED CWM with Indirects recovery tool apk. Then you can flash Cm9 to the internal and use cyanoboot to chose between the internal cm9 or sd cm7. Good luck!

If you have a brick try my unbricking method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1562130
had to go to virtual box
my problem was not the downlaod. i got it from the OP link w/ no prob. but w/ windoze, the microhcsd did not work. aarrgghh. adam kind of responded to that conplaint by saying 'windoze has problems and linux does not'... so i am like a big zero w/ ubuntu but what the hay. i dnlded oracle's virtual box and got it going. then i dnlded ubuntu but did not like its layout and looks so i dnlded mint and that seemed better ( for me ). within mint, i made the sd using a cheapie 16GB from amazon. you do have to have patience and there is very little feedback. well, with the new sd, the un-brick process worked. just pluggin it into the pc and it ( slowly ) gets going. you think its still dead and will not work and then it comes to life and you see ubuntu graphics and its running its script. there is a progress bar of sorts. then you power on and it is at 1.40 and you have to skip over the OOBE ( out of box experience )
.
gotcha for me was that it was NOT powered off when you think it was powered off. the screen has a black / blank mode and then the 'real' black / blank mode. if you hold the tab at a really sharp obtuse angle . . . you can see that it is 'on' when you thought it was 'off'. with no cable attached, press and hold the power button for five seconds to make it off-off...
Hello everyone!
After 2 days of sacrificing my holiday I am really done, and got no where. :/
My short story:
I tried to install a Android ROM and wanted to get rid of my ugly Win6.5
Steps:
1. Finding out about 512 or 1024
2. I installed CortullaHSPL4 and updated to SPL-2.08.HSPL
3. Download Magldr113 and trying to run ROMUpdateUtility
And here something must have gone wrong. I did everything according to the manual and was quite successful... too successful as it seems because the ROMupdate did only last 5 seconds! (not 10 Minutes) Progress was shown on HD2 and PC. After that the purple cycle shows up on the HD2 and is stuck. Nothing happens. If I take out battery and restart device... same story, OS wont start and the cycle is still stuck.
I can access the tricolor screen by voldown+power and also can connect to USB. But thats it...
What have I done wrong? Nowhere it sais that there is an error... it just wont start.
Could anyone please give me a decent hint?
Actually I don't care what Operation System I use... I just want the phone bac working.
Please Help me, so I can enjoy my holiday again
Cheers,
Paul
flash radio 2.15.50, reboot, magldr will appear.
Dont confuse your REGULAR hd2 with the american t mobile, , only american t mobile is different, , yours is regular hd2.,
the ROMupdate did only last 5 seconds! (not 10 Minutes)

because magldr is tiny, , roms are big, so they take 10 mins.
