I need this aswell!
I'd like to as well i made a theme with UOT Kitchen.
How do i put it in my rom and make it default?

We have a write up posted if you're interested in joining. I don't recall off top of my head. I built my framework-res.apk and replaced the original in the kitchen then zipaligned the apks. Created the boot.zip and flashed to my mt4g worked great. Had other issues with some incorrect coding on my part but the theme worked fine.

Will Android Rom kitchen work for X8

I havent found Xperia X8 in the support list for Android rom kitchen. But there are lot of custom rom coming for X8. Are all these rom made without using Rom kitchen? I like to learn the procedure to cook roms, but If this rom kitchen doesent support X8 I can avoid reading and understanding the procedure for using the same software.
Have anyone tried to build cutom rom using Android Rom Kitchen? If so please tell me can I start with android rom kitchen for cooking roms for X8?
The best way is to try it and see
OK..I hope my phone will not be a paper weight after this.....
In case something bad happens will I be able to restore mt backup using Xrecovery or SEUS?? If I can do that I am ready to do it...What you guys think???
yes it can be used for modding X8 roms (but not for build rom),i ever use it with the latest dsixda kitchen rom. but still having problem with app2sd, when we try to mod a custom rom that have native app2sd installed, the kitchen rewrite it to move data2sd automaticaly(if we don't have higher class of sdcard it will be a big problem).
*if you wanna use xrecovery to reflash, yes it can as long as the installation completen the device could boot on the logo
*last chance if stuck use SEUS
ps: im a X8 user
sorry for my "E"

Thank you cruizz.....
In that case I am ready..... Going to Start with some hard reading of the available guides.....

i am new to making a custom rom....

i always wanted to make a custom rom with my sing on it but for my personal use only....i manage this with this guide http://forum.xdadevelopers.com/showthread.php?t=1132724
and my rom is working perfectly without bug as i can see until now...but i want to add some custom boot animations or add teawks and some other "hacking" things on my Gnote so i was wondering if some one can show me a guide to do it or tell me...Also i am using the dsixda's Android Kitchen now to see with what method i am doing better work...
I am also new to this but successfully I have created a ROM for SGS II without any kitchen or whatever from Base! My Advice is You first Get a Skeleton Rom and Study Android File Structure(FOLDERS WITHIN ROMS) not FILE SYSTEM(EXT4 etc). I will guide more If you start and finish what I said previously!
Thanks always Appreciated!
ok i have make one rom with skeleton rom and is working perfectly with the cg root kernel and also with abyssnote ...i didnt face any issue so far....
Good! You should now tweak the Framework and make it stable while adding no themes!
Deodexing and CRT off and BatteryMod plus Extended power menu should be in your rom before posting on XDA because all other ppl like these features so much that now it's compulsory in every rom!
That things is what i want on my note from the day i bought it....but i dont know how to add them to my rom (the method to do it)....so far with the guide it was so "easy" (after 20) to learn anything the guide said i have manage to build one deadoxed and zipaling rom tha i am proud of after my hard time with google searching for this staff...But now i am in a dead End.

UOT kitchen for making custom ROM's?

Hi there!
I'm just asking, why are there so few custom ROM's available at the moment? I'm thinking that, since we have this online UOT kitchen service?
Is there a problem making ROM's with UOT kitchen when it comes to this phone?
Because I would like to make ROM with UOT kitchen, but I'm not on unlocked bootloader, therefor no root and need the framework and Ui apk.
So what's up dev people?
you can only tweak so much with the uot. to really tweak out a rom it takes time.
I would think it's more to do with waiting for ics, then you might see the themers come alive.
i might tweak the phone a bit, this is what i did for my xperia play, you can see it here.
I will most likely add my tweaked htc keyboard as well you can see it here. hell it might already work. but i still need to unlock the bootloader and choose a base rom to use with my rogers version of the xperia s.

Modified Framework not booting ROM

I am currently working on a rom for the Galaxy Note 2. I ran into a problem and thought that I might find some help here, I have created a themed framework-res.apk however when I combine it into the rom zip file and flash it it does not boot. For it to boot I need to first flash the rom (without the themed framework), boot, then flash the themed framework. The themed framework-res is from a different base of the rom so it might be the cause of this. I can redo the theming on the original framework from the rom but I made a lot of xml changes and would not like to redo those. Is there a way I can combine it into the rom zip file and make it work ?
Thanks
Edit : Managed to solve by moving the xml and png files to the original framework from the rom
