Any news on the samsung galaxy player?
I heard rumors in July of a samsung galaxy S with no 3g radio, sorta like an ipod touch, just with android.
has anyone heard anything since july about this thing?

The specs aren't confirmed yet. Just so called "leaks" are about the place. There are more by the way.

If you need it right away, then I suggest the Samsung Galaxy S2.

A co-worker of mine is interested in a wifi-only Android handheld... something he can buy anywhere, without a data plan... but not a tablet. Something the size of a phone... like a 4" screen. There used to be a wifi-only Galaxy S... is there such a thing for the S2?
Ideally:
- Android
- OLED screen
- 4" (5" might be ok, but no bigger)
- Good GPS
If not Samsung... any recommendations for a comparable device?

Thanks... the Galaxy 4 though was the wifi-only version of the Galaxy S, which has horrible GPS issues. Due to excellent GPS needing to be a feature, that eliminates the Galaxy 4 and Galaxy 5, unfortunately.

Certainly a technical option, but at $550, not a practical one.
I'm sure I've seen wi-fi only option on s2 but can't seem to find it now. Can anyone confirm this pleas
e?
never heard this kind of model before.
There isn't a wifi only model of the S2. The closest thing in this case is either the Galaxy S series already mentioned, or a wifi only tablet.
I get the impression that Samsung are giving up on the wifi only phones now. I assume they've never done that well.
Hey, guys how are you doing ?
As most of you guys here, yesterday I watched the galaxy s4 presentation. And I have to say, I'm a little disappointed. My first impression is that most of the innovations are software related, right?
So is it possible to expect those software innovations available to our rooted galaxy s3?

Is it worth upgrading my Samsung Galaxy S3 to the LTE version?
I know it has 2gb of RAM, a dual core processor, 4G, and no FM radio.
Are there any other differences apart from which ROMS and kernels I can flash?
Thanks

My mother has just got a Z3 Compact, it doesn't look to bad considering it's the z3s younger sister
Not worth it, get something newer.
S3 has become aged,try a Newer one
S3 has become aged, try a Newer one .Personally um in love with Note 3.. its an amazing handset and I know I do not have to think about upgrading it for next two years
Samsung 2015 new flagship smartphone has been unveiled recently, which makes a stir with the new features. Who like it? Who dislike it?
