Anyone know how I can root the new official (KA6) 2.2 with a Mac?
I have tried z4root on my phone and it didn't work.
Then I tried OneClickRoot for Mac, and it didn't work.
Any ideas?

Usually, i use z4root to root my x10. Its very easy and fast
But since yesterday, I messed up my phone and all those apps gone in the menu, but the memory is still there
So i decided to restore with SEUS
i updated to a newer software
after that, z4root no longer working
SuperOneClick v1.5.5 also not working as well
Can anybody tell me any solution or ways to root the phone?
Thanks

You've updated to a new ROM which, until now, is unrootable. However, you can flash the previous ROM, re-root it and then flash zdzihu's pre-rooted ROM along with JiT.
It's all here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=883890.
Hi,
I've just flashed my Vibrant to stock Froyo and now I want to root it. I'm trying Z4root and it just says "atempting to root device" for a long long time. Is there another app that does that? I've tried z4root (which worked wonders with eclair) but it doen's seem to work. I've tried SuperOneClick and it tells me it has been rooted but when I try to run the one click lag fix the option to fix the lag is not available.
cheers
Rafa
I have an LG Optimus One ( LGP500 ) running 2.2 and I rooted it using the z4root tool, version 1.0. From what I saw, back then it didn't have an unroot option. In the meantime, I did an update using the LG Mobile Tool, and I think it updated my system to 2.2.2 .
I noticed that the newer versions of z4root have an unroot option, so I upgraded my z4root from 1.0 to 1.3, to try to unroot the phone ... but I only see the Temporary root and Permanent root options. I tried pressing the Permanent root and it seemed to do something, after which it returned me to my Home. From this, I'm drawing the conclusion that rerooting did not work. I am assuming z4root needs to root, so that the unroot option is available.
Is there anyway I could unroot my phone now?

since you have updated to 2.2.2 therfore z4root wont work on it .it requires version 2.2 to root u can go back to the 2.2 rom and then try z4root
Its already unrooted.

A few days ago I updated my LG P500 to 2.2.2, and of course I lost the root access. I tried to downgrade to 2.2, but when I try to open the KDZ flasher, I get the next error: "MOD UpTestEX MFC Application has stopped working". I have the LG drivers installed. Can anyone help me?
Can't you just use z4root?
Sent from my Stream using XDA App
the KDZ Flasher is used for downgrading back to 2.2, because 2.2.2 is not rootable.(not for rooting, like z4root) Any suggestions on how to solve this problem?
I think you need root access
you can have root access in 2.2.2
Did you use 'Superoneclick'?
It will root your device
i cant seem to find any roots for this phone, the kyocera hydro icon is currently running android version 4.3 (jellybean) . the model # is C6730 . atleast find me the .Tar file or md5 file . i could use your guys help thanks.
Hi;
Was reading your post.
Enter: "Bin4ry" in XDA-Search Box.
Its SUPPOSED to be able to root
this phone. Have had no luck with
it as of yet. Another program you
might try is: KINGO, which claims
to be able to root 98% of any Android
phones. Let me know how you made
out. If successful with any of these,
PLEASE let me know step-by-step
how you did it!!

I have tried numerous rooting methods on this phone since I purchased it a week ago. ALL have failed, even those which were once confirmed as successful. Unfortunately, right now that means that this phone cannot be rooted if it is running on the latest software update, 4.4.2.
So far I have tried and failed to root the device via:
RootGenius
Bin4ry's method
iRoot
KingoROOT
I have yet to try cydia impactor. But I will post the results tonight when I get off work.
Assume still no root for Hydro Icon-4.4.2?
Is it safe to assume no one has found any working root for the Kyocera Hydro Icon running 4.4.2 KK?
I have tried multiple other methods multiple times (King Root, Root Master, Master Root, Poot, Towelroot, Framaroot, Universal Root, Kingoroot, vRoot, SRS Root, Easy Root, Root Genius, iRoot & Cydia Impactor) but it was all in vain, is there anything I'm missing?
Add Bin4ry's method to the list.
Alpha Tekk, I have try ever know source to root this phone as well. With no success. If find out any that work with the update 4.4 KitKat please let me know
