Any ideas? I did this process way to many times (this is because i tried to update to 1.6.1 from 1.6.0 and i got to many error messages..
and yes i am using ADB r288920

i was getting the same issues yesterday, flash 1.5.1 again, and make a factoty reset using clockwork then boot in recovery mode and make a factory reset agaion using the dell recovery option 1. and your phone should boot again, once booted u can flash 1.6.0 and 1.6.1.

Make sure you have the right driver installed, I was having the same issue. Head over to the streaksmart forums, there is a thread about QDL. I belive the 2nd or 3rd reply has the steps to fix the issue.

What is showing on your streak when this errors in the QDL tool.....is it a whitescreen?

This means you do not have the proper ADB driver installed.. its all done but need the adb drivers to restart your streak into fastboot mode.
Also you need to install the Fastboot driver. put your device in fastboot mode (power off, then hold camera button while powering on then press the top when you get to a whit screen with a keypad). Plug in to your PC and the driver is in the repairtool folder you extracted.

so what if its stuck on the dell screen ? and it just keep restarting what does that mean?

ive done everything but it gives me the same message

go here ftp://ftp.dell.com/Handheld/R288920.exe and download the adb drivers. Once installed try to run qdl tool. If you get this same error again, no problem, just go to device manager in windows and go to the exclamation point where it says adb device or dell streak or some kind of hardware ( should be the only exclamation point on your device manager). right click and choose update drivers and have windows search automatically. Windows will indeed find your adb drivers and then your qdl tool will work,. This exact thing happened to me. it has something to do with what version of microsoft .net framework you have based on what os you are running.

My dell streak doesn't go past dell logo
"Recovery mode", by holding "Vol up, down and power" at the same time not working.
Fastboot not working as well. just power boton and dell logo stays on.

Dell Streak Won't Boot After Flashed Wrong AMSS.mbn

I had Streakdroid 1.9.1 installed on my Dell Streak, I was trying to update my Streak to 2.0.0. Downloaded amss.mbn from DJ.steve's thread by using right click... I was not aware that file was incorrect (mirror2.streakdroid.com/amss.mbn is broken, basically, amss.mbn I had was a webpage)... So I pretty much fast booted that webpage into my streak... After rebooted the streak, I can no longer power it back on nor fast boot or anything...
I tried QDLTool following the QDLTool tutorial to every word, this is what I get

I tried reinstalling the driver for the bricked phone(R288920) - Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 9002 and tried different USB ports, but I still get the above error... I think it probably ADB device driver, but have no idea what to do. Can someone please help?

I too am stuck at the same problem.
Did the same mistake.
I am currently downloading StreakFlash and QDL Tool. Hoping for good. Will post back if it works for me.

I tried it, worked good and unbricked my phone.
Make sure u use streakflash first and then repairtool.
I did it and now I am happily on GingerStreak 2.4.4

same problem here
i try streakflash also, all done successfully,but still in same situation ,no fastboot no recovery , only hang on dell logo

are you running 64 bit windows? If so there are some special instructions that need to be followed. There is a flash video here that shows you how:http://www.streakdroid.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=2
It's the win64 tutorial file at the bottom. I just used it Monday and it worked flawlessly.

I don't know how much help I can be aside from the tutorial videos. I just followed them and it worked.
Make sure your drivers are installed correctly for adb. You can start with this post:
