For those who been waiting to get into the beta, it's reopen to all. If you have the factory One still installed, you will have delete the swype apk, and the swype lib file. Reboot and install the swype installer and so on.

Just note this:
If your phone came pre-installed with Swype
DO NOT download this beta (it won't work)

**Edit** Like others stated, you will have to uninstall the swype that came pre-installed before using the Beta. (I was already a beta user....)

all u have to do is uninstall the default one. I'm not having any problems.
Just curious, but since we MyTouch owners already have swype, what would be the point of joining the beta?

True, just use root explorer to move it over then reboot. Benefits would be to have the most up-to-date version and one with a voice button.

Some of us running CM6 lost swype, so this is the perfect alternative to getting swype back other than the ADB method.

I can uninstall the Swype that came with it and install the new beta, but the service force closes on me when it attempts to verify the license. Any suggestions?

U have to be rooted. Follow the first post. Delete the swype apk and the lib file, reboot, then install the beta
I think that may be the issue I was having replacing swype, I didn't delete the lib file. I may give it another shot tonight.

Yeah bro, the **** was driving me crazy since I got this phone. I delete the apk but mine wouldn't install. I was missing my swype with it mic
I have done everything the instructions say and during the licensing the Swype process "com.swype.android.inputmethod" stops unexpectedly.
I am rooted...i deleted the swype apk, the lib file and rebooted. I then installed it and I continue to have this problem.

Does anybody know if registering for the beta will interfere with the preinstalled version from working/authenticating? Or does the preinstalled version not need to to authenticate?

I don't why u would want to go back to the preinstalled one, but all u need is the apk and the lib, there's a thread here if u didn't back it up. There's no authentication
Am I suppose to be using the swype installer for this? That may be causing the problems.

OK, then I'm stumped again. Even when I try installing from a apk, it says it's going to replace a current application. I don't get that because I thought I removed swype. How can it replace something that's not there?
Update: After reboots and file deletions...it was finally able to authenticate. I don't know the exact steps, but it working now. Thanks for everyone's help.
I installed eminence last night, and everything was working fine. The market wasn't updating to the latest version, so I manually installed the latest version from the backup I had done before I installed eminence.
The latest market was then working fine, until I tried to install X10iUser's black market, which then completely removed the market, so I re-installed the market and now it keeps forcing close.
Is there an easy fix, or do I have to re-install eminence and start again from scratch?
Thanks in advance

You should post this in the original forum for that particular ROM. Hopefully, you will get an answer!
Go to file explorer /system/app find marketupdate.apk install from there, then go to manage applications find marketupdate click on it uninstall, works fine for me.

With the newest market update, I am constantly getting force closes with it. I am running CM7 (2.3.5, kernel 2.6.35.7) and the market version in question would be 3.1.3. I have tried clearing the app cache and uninstalling the update. I also tried using one of the old market apks, but it just updates and I am back to square one.

Same here. I a tually have a backup of a MIUI.us ROM loaded with all my app's. I load that and do update any apps needed. Use Titanium to backup the update. Then reload over to my CM7 and restore the app's freshly updated. Its a pain but I don't know what else to do for now.
I just noticed today that the Market Feedback is version 2.3.4, which I wonder if is related to the kernel version.

That was the first thing I did. I even made sure to wipe my phone 3 times. All I did was install nightlies 176 (then also did the same for 177/178) and first thing I installed after setup was the new v3.1.3 market. It still FCed. So I wiped again and tried v3.0.27 and now it FCs. Which is confusing the crap out of me I can't go backwards.

Actually had to go back to the 03/07/2011 version of GAPPS. I flashed that under root. Then fixed permissions. Rebooted and opened the old market. Agreed to the terms. Sat and downloaded ROM Manager (just picked a random app to see if it would crash). Downloaded and installed fine. Closed the old market. Noticed my launcher icon changed from the old market icon to the new one. Opened the market again and it had updated. Checked "My Apps" and was finally able to update my needed apps.
On a side note I opened up Titanium Backup PRO and noted three apps that were new.
- FOTA Kill v1.0
- Google Backup Transport v3.0
- Talk v1.3 (no idea why that's a new app)
Haven't rebooted yet, but that's a step in the right direction at least....

Yeah I tried that and it did not work. Even selecting English again did not work. But at least there are options, as some work for different setups!
Weird issue but I haven't heard much about it since last week. Hopefully something like this doesn't pop up with every update!

I was wondering if there was a setting I could apply or a zip I could flash to prevent the market from auto updating itself. I have all kinds of problems with market 3.44 crashing but not if I uninstall updates but it goes right back to 3.44 on its own.

If you are trying to install Xposed on a newer Samsung device, Knox and SELInux will fight you. I'm guessing you are running what is in your in your sig, so probably not Knox. Install this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mrbimc.selinux Grant SU, change to Permissive, reboot (may not be necessary, but doesn't hurt), and try again.

What version of Xposed are you trying to install? Do you have a custom recovery? If so, Xposed 2.5+ will give you an option to install normal via system or you can pick the option to install via recovery. I'd go that route. It's at the top of the framework install part of Xposed - there is a drop down box to choose install methods.
Edit: Looked at the picture you posted and you definitely have the newer version.

It very well could be something in it that isn't being friendly to the normal framework install method, but lemme know if it works the other installation way. If it does, then not a big deal either way.

I guess something went wring when installing the rom which may have caused the issue.

What you want to do also after installing the rom freshly. Install the xposed v 2.5 rather than 2.5.1 because 2.5 works perfectly and there's no real need in updating it

I am having the same issue with the could not extract the zip file. I have tried what was suggested on this thread as well as reinstalled the rom 3 times. The only two other things I can think of trying are full wipe and format of the sd card or full unroot and revert to stock then reroot and try the rom again. Any thoughts?

You're using 2.5 (not 2.5.1) and still having issues? What phone, rom, etc? Might try rolling back to 2.4.1.
I have a Galaxy Note 3 and running wicked rom. I was having the problem just on 2.5.1 but on 2.5 everything would load but none of the modules were working after rebooting. Everything checked out (installed and unzipped) with no errors on 2.5.

Weird...What modules were you trying to use? When you go into the Framework part, does it show the app_process and XposedBridge.jar as green / active?
It did for the 2.5 version even tho nothing was working. I reverted back to 2.4.1 and things seem to be working at the moment. I was running Wanam and the kbs network module. I'm going to try and play around tonight with some other modules and see if the problem persists.
