I dont know if this will work for other android versions, but u could try i assume (should work on 2.1)
sign in on the old market before you do this!
after that download new market Here brought to you by th4r
throw it on your sdcard and flash it with xrecovery
after you done this, you will notice that you are missing some apps....
now to fix this easily go to the market itselve and download an app called "Eris Market", there is an free version and a paid one, it does not mather which one you download so i prefer the free one ^^
install it > run it > and boot > and your fixxed
i am not responsible for anything that can go wrong, keep that in mind, and dont rage this post! xD
goodluck all
p.s. a simple Thanks will make everyone happy

Update to Android 2.1 and backup
Many person they have Sony Ericsson x10 with 1.6 not rooted not debranded and soon the new framework coming at the end of October as the stupid sonny Ericsson release that may be it will be later than October.
Am bought a lot of software and I have two questions:
1-how can I take a copy of my current software (just in case if I have problem with Éclair 2.1, I want to take copy of my Andoid 1.6) which is the best software to do that note my device not rooted not debranded?
2-i know how to backup my application and there is a lot of application do that like mybackup as listed the best one, But is there any software make restore with link to market ,it's meant if I was bought one application from the market and in the future this application will release update and I want to update I can’t do that with out make this application listed in market under download list, so how can I do that to return all my application (after update framware) to listed in the market and which software i need to use?
Please don't forget my device not ROOTED not DEBRANDED
Many thanks to all persons answer me
Hi there, about the first question I really wouldn't know how to do it, the guys trying to crack it know better than me for sure, but I'm not quite sure it's even possible...
Now I didn't post to tell you I don't know how to help you...lol
about the second question, when you purchase an app from the market it stays in the downloads section even when they're not installed marked as purchased so you can redownload and reinstall at any time, so don't worry about them, they'll be waiting for you on the other side...lol..
Also I really recomend you root your device with universal androot and use titanium backup for the backup on top of the non root program of your choice for we don't know if it'll be easy to re-root after the update...
hope I've helped and don't hold your breath for the update....lol

I am pretty sure posting and sharing paid apps here is a no-no. Just google around, and, you should be able to find it. But, refer this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=951551
just buy it, its a brilliant app. have been speaking to dev last week, and everythings getting changed so pirated copies can't get skins.
First, Elelinux. Awesome ROMs. Been using them since the beginning.
I wanted to post this in the official thread in the developers section but I don't have a sufficient post count so it seems.
I want to flash back to the old market since the new one is really slow/sluggish on my Hero. (yeah I did a clean flash, wipe etc.)
I downloaded the old_market_signed.zip and flashed it but I still only had the new market. After that I tried to make a small script (delete SYSTEM:app/vending.apk) and flash the old market zip after that. Still no luck.
Any other way of getting the old market back on my phone?
Thanks in advance
First flash old market then go to settings -> applications -> installed/ manage applications -> market -> uninstall updates
sent with love from me to you
Thanks a lot . Guess I missed that somewhere.

Ok so Here is a link to Cyanogen Mod 7 which is a custom rom for all New xperia's imo probably the best custom rom out there. This will require you to have an unlocked boot loader on your phone.
Your second option is to root your device and remove the systems apps you dont like with titanium backup available off the android market.

1. Just use flashtool to flash a stock firmware for your handset. FlashTool
2. As for multiboot im not sure sorry.
3. You can use titanium backup and try, although its not garunteed to work.
4. If you are planning to flash cm7 it will be pre-rooted after the flash. all you need is unlocked boot loader.
Just have in mind that if you unlock your bootlocker (wich is essential if you are planing to put CM) you gonna lose your warranty.
About task manager, you can use Advanced task killer, who is avaliable at android market for free. There u can manage what process you want to leave running and wich one you want to be killed.
With rooted phone you can uninstall some of the system programs, just like Facebook
Here is the thread about unlocking:

So basically if i use this tool i want lose warranty as far as i dont touch bootlocker????
I downloaded some task managers of the market but when i kill apps they restart automaticaly.
One more question.
If i root it uninstall apps via titanium can i restore the apps by wipeing the phone???
THX
Yes, that is correct. You wont lose your warranty as long as you don't touch bootlocker. And with that tool I linked to you, you can easily root your phone and unroot it when ever you like (tested myself).
Some applications will always return back to process tree, simple as, thats how they work
For example, facebook is always in background to notify you about notifications and those things, even if you didn't set up an facebook account, he will always be in background.
That's stupid, I know, but that doesn't suck your battery or similar.
You can always restore all Google applications with ClockworkMod recovery.
Here's the link for CWM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1345741
And here is the link for google applications:
http://goo-inside.me/gapps/
Lets get rid of the stupid things.
First of all there is a data notification whenever you boot the phone.(how to pooooooof its gone)
second there is notification when i turn on gps that might be some internet trafic involved. (if i turn off data plan is there posibily some internet trafic going on) is it gps or only agps?
third i know this phone is storeing all data how do i read it any viewer?
I know that for streakdroid 1.9.1 and before, there's option in install.txt to enable the compatibility for gameloft games.
However, I've jump to DSC gingerbread. For now, I'm having problem with the compatibility with gameloft games..(my lcd density is 160) any idea how to fix this problem?
Thanks a lot guys !!
Could you be more specific about encountered incompatibility?
Hmmm.. When I browse with phone, the apps couldn't be found thru the market. And if I browse from computer in the android Market, and it shows that the game is not compatible with ur device. The game is mentioned is Brothers in Arms 2. Besides that, for yesterday android market 10 cents promotion, only 9 apps are showing up for me, the one dint show is one of the gameloft game. I also tried to download the apk, and after I installed, it failed to download the data package, and said that the device is not compatible. Thanks for helping me solving the problem ya, and thanks
Have you tried using market enabler to fake mobile provider?
If this doesn't help, i'll look for another fingerprints.
I don't have it handy, but the fingerprint for a Nexus S allowed me to download Asphalt 6. I reverted back to the original though before I could test the game.
Found it!
In your build.prop, find the line that starts with ro.build.fingerprint= and replace it with this one:
ro.build.fingerprint=google/sojua/crespo:2.3.6/GRH78C/93600:user/release-keys
Reboot your phone and see if it works. Make sure you make a copy of your original build.prop though just in case.
You must be rooted to do this.
n0p & lordmorphous,
Thanks for the fast response for u guys, will try it later ^_^
Anyway, thanks u guys for the great DSC rom =)
you could try getting games from gameloft wap store??
Find out what version is compatible and download it
Someone said xperia x10 mini versions work??
I have had some luck with htc desire versions as well (just dont choose any samsungs)
older adreno phone versions should be compatible.. (reminds me I need to update my gaming thread asap)
Update:
I've tried both methods, results returned seem to be the same ><
Update 2: I think is the gameloft compatibility issue.. even installed the apk file, it still failed to download the data over wifi, mentioning that the game is not compatible with your device, ask for refund. Same happen to my fren's moto ..
I'm running DSC ROM and in order to get some apps (Sleepy Jack, Tetris Free) showing up in the Market, I changed the fingerprint to:
ro.build.description=3.06.405.1 CL150597 release-keys
ro.build.fingerprint=htc_wwe/htc_ace/ace:2.3.5/GRJ90/150597.1:user/release-keys
They were succesfully installed, so what are the reasons to change the build.prop back to the DSC default?
I think there's no reason Thank you for sharing this fingerprint.

Thank you for answering and off course a great ROM!
So the only thing is that the Android Market now thinks that my device is a HTC Desire HD.
FYI: In order to make the spoof fingerprint work, I also changed
ro.product.brand=htc_wwe
ro.product.name=htc_ace
ro.product.device=ace
ro.product.board=spade
ro.product.manufacturer=HTC
After editing the build.prop I've had to 'Clear data' from Market app and Google Services Framework, reboot into StreakMod to Clear cache partition, Wipe dalvik cache and Fix permissions.
