[q] lww and neo v problem?

Hi guys im new here
i have rooted my lww 2.3.4 .62 by downgrading to .58.
How update again to frmware .62.with root access because lww already have ics update?
My freind had rooted neo v 4 months old with bootloader locked. He has issue with the speaker .so he want to take it to sony service centre for repair.but i think rooting void warranty?
Will unrooting return warranty status back?
And how to sony service centre guys know that we have rooted our phone even though if we unroot?
How to solve this issue to get warranty back?
Pleaaaase helpppppp guyyyssssssssssssss
well if were worried about warranty, you shouldnt have rooted it. people say that unrooting works, but then again, sony has professional engineers to take care of its phones, and sort out the issues you face. they would naturally know the "tricks" that developers can do. so its unlikely that people at service center cant know what you've done with it.

1) If you update to ICS, you'll lose root unless you follow THIS tutorial.
2) Repair the phone with PC Companion. This will erase root. Keep in mind that if you installed CWM Recovery you could mess up while repairing with PC Companion as long as I know. In that case, you should flash new firmware with flashtool.
I have flashed stock rom .62 to unroot .now can i get warranty status back?im sending my lww to service centre will there be any issues over it?

[Q] Unrooting/rolling back to original fatory stock rom without warranty void

i ve read many threads but still noone has given a direct answer to one question
that how to unroot the neov and still not making warranty void .
and if we can unroot the phone to original stock rom then will the warranty be void and why as we have reverted back to factory rom and we have unrooted the phone again....
can anybody comment.......
If you didn't unlock the bootloader you can simply made a factory reset with SEUS.
Every thing should come back as stock.
I have JJ's doctory hybrid rom (stock kernel and locked bootloader) and SEUS recognize my phone.
But I'm not sure if even after a factory reset with SEUS you will mantain root (superuser will be deleted of course)
-----------------------------------
Rooting will not void your warranty
Unlocking bootloader will void your warranty (if you had to go to warranty center they could reject it)
Flashing stock firmware will not void your warranty, it could if something goes wrong in this passthrough and you need to go to warranty center
If you never lashed .ftf (from different region than your original) with flashtool, meaning, you are still on your stock(original/your region) rom, but root-ed, then you can repair your software with PCC or SEUS, and get clean firmware.
If you flashed .ftf with flashtool (from different region then your original), you can edit your build.prop with CDA customization number for your region and then, restart your phone and repair software with PCC or SEUS.
I highly doubt they(service center) will notice if you have firmware from different region then your original, but still to play on the safe side
Where to find CDA number, check this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1604559
Good to hear
So we should write down our CDA customization number before flashing *.ftf (to make root process for example).

It's always a good practice to backup everything you can, even stock original firmware, or in this case CDA number.
I still have my original fw on pc
But as I say, I highly doubt they will notice if you have fw for wrong region.. My gf got totally different fw on her X10 mini pro, when she took it to service center
Yeah, but it's always good to be in the right side.
If I known this before...SOMEONE SHOULD WRITE IT IN THE TOP OF THE ROOT TOPICS. Just say "tap *#*#service#*#* and write down everything you can
EDIT: I found that I took screenshot of software info Now I'm writing it on your discussion.

Really??
So, will rooting, removing stock apps or even installing hybrid ROMs based on stock not officially void warranty? (as long as bootloader is locked)
Lets just put it like this.
Every messing with software CAN be a reason for rejecting warranty claim.
Now you can think whatever you want

That's a nice one.
Now, got Madfish's hint about customization, the question is "in which case you can't restore the phone as your specifically original stock?"
To go to the service center (and be almost sure (99,9%) you'll have not trouble)
-unlocked bootloader? (I read something like you can make it will show it is locked, but you can't relock it completely, I'm right?)
-root permissions? (Is doomlord rooting toolkit something saved in the rom, which can be deleted after flashing new firmware?)
-custom rom on stock kernel? (Install backup of a rom from CWM recovery)
-flashing sony's firmware with flashtool? (like upgrade manually to 4.0.4 from GB)
-files of system partition modified with root explorer? (like camera mods and V6 supercharger)
-CWM recovery installed?

Normally unrooting is very much possible but as you've a Micromax I can't be really sure!
I have no clue regarding that unfortunately, sorry!
You may ask in General Q n A section or maybe one of Micromax device forum's Q n A thread

[Solved] Unroot & Stock ROM to sell the phone

Hello,
I'm completely new to the XPERIA X10, because I have a HTC Sensation.
I've rooted and flashed a custom ROM for a friend on his X10 and now he want to sell it.
That means, I have to go to stock -> unroot & Stock Rom.
But I don't know how I can do that. I know that there is a unroot tool, but how I can come back to Stock ROM, into factory reset?
A detailed description would be great.
Thanks, ~Maik

Open your Sony PC companion, there is a repair option in it, when you click on software update. Repairing the phone will bring it back to stock Sony Ericsson 2.3.3
Hope this helps..
Wow, thats really easy.
Thanks for the answers

The root can be unrooted via the same software - bin4ru method.
CWM will be automaticaly lost when you install official ROM via flashtool.
