I have an E10i and i install cyanogen mod rom in x10 mini development! When i wanted to restore the original SE rom (i havent kept a backup from xrecovery!!! how stupid of me) i tried SEUS but when it scans for my phone it comes up with the message that my phone has the latest software installed and only the option exit. And when i try to use binary's x10 flasher it get stuck at the flashing process and specifically at flashing kernel.sin. Please please please somebody just give me a hand!
Can somebody give me his SE rom backup from xrecovery????

1. Update using SEUS
2. when SEUS ask you to disconnect and to connect your phone and press back key..don't, instead follow the instruction below:
2.A) dont unpplug your mobile
2.B) Press power+middle+right button at the same time.
2.C) if the screen goes blank, release the power and middle, but keep pressing the right button.
2.D) from there it will be detected by SEUS.
You need to charge your phone ofcourse.
Thanks everyone who really tried to help yesterday i managed to recover myphone using the seus!!! i only had to remove battery then plug it again and then connect to seus!!! Once again thanks.

i just tried to install a theme on my xperia x10 mini..done all the process root,mount copy,paste etc....and when i rebooted my device it shows only the task bar on the top and a white blank screen.i know i did something wrong but i really need the telephone these days.the only thing i can do is to press the power button and turn it off....is there a way to restore the original settings?and try again later with the theme?
You are wrong to upload the theme on your x10 mini, most likely you build a theme other than that you tried to install, you must reset the phone via Seus. It 'the only way. Sad but true.

SEUS is sony ericsson update service, download it from sony ericsson website, update your phone and it will restore to normal. Or it it can't work, use flashtool device from the forum.
warning : read carefully before starting to use flashtool. , and yes it's pretty stupid of you to install custom themes without knowing any contingency plan
edit : and btw next time, use xrecovery, it's so much simpler than the copy paste method. The installation is in this threat title xrecovery
the problem is that i can't tap anything on the phone so seus didn't work for me..i can only press the power button and then switch it off...i'll try the flash tool..

Just download sony ericsson update service from sonyericsson website, install it and run it. Then you follow the onscreen instruction.

when you see the sony ericsson boot up enter xrec and reinstall... if can't connect your phone to pc and reflash using SEUS or SE PC companion...
Well, this is the mini forum, not the mini pro. So if you took a rom from this section it's probably not compatible with your phone.
Also, use the search function. It's there for a reason.
Lots of people have problems with bootloops, just browse the forum for a while and you will most likely find detailed help for your problem.
boot in xrecovery go to advanced options -> wipe dalvik cache
1. Replace your battery or press both power button and home button
2. switch on phone
3. if see SE logo, press back button 1000x until xrecovery window show up
4. restore your back up or try factory reset
5. reboot
if cant boot to xrecovery then your phone is totally brick...
repair it using SEUS... and start all over again

Repair a phone isn't a hard thing. If you've made a backup before install the rom just restore. You can use SEUS (aka Sony Ericsson Update Service) to restore the phone. Try to reinstall the ROM. Make sure you followed all the steps during the ROM instalation.

the same problem is with me also .... the phone is continuosly boot loooping..... i didnt take a backup also using xrecovery ...i cannot connect my phone to sony ericsson pc suite companion also to reinstall the software ....plz plz give me some idea to get off this problem.....

Don't use PC companion, download SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service), install it and follow the instructions.

i did a big mistake first i rooted my xperia 10mini and use 2.2 rom then i try to recover my phone in original version 2.1 . When i try and restart my phone and press back button it's goes to recovery mode not automatically recovered so i delete from c drive recovery.tar file and two more file now my phone is stuck on lobo of android doll. What to do i son't know please help me my phone is going to die.
Easy get seus and reflash your phone stock or boot into recovery ,,, using charging phone power on phone unplug charger use a back up ,,if you can't start again rember to do back ups

I had the same issue it restarts by itself n go into looping, remove the battery place it back, connect ur phone to SEUS by holding back button and plugging the USB

If your recovery (xrecovery or clockwordmod) works fine, what about removing your SD and plug it to a PC in order to copy a 2.1 ROM and then install it through recovery?

That's weird because 7 hours after i brought my X10 mini pro i already bricked it , so i fire up SE PC companion and i followed the instruction to _repair_ the phone and no access to USB storage was needed that i remember.
It simply downloads and flash to your phone.
Unfortunately i'm still a newbie so i suppose and i haven't all the right answers
Keep trying with SE repairing and good luck with that!

I'm messing with a friend's X10 Mini because he wanted a "higher android version update" on his phone, and since I myself have a X8, I kindly offered to root it and flash a ROM to it.
So I found out the bootloader couldn't be unlocked, so I installed CWM manual (via Root Explorer) and flashed GingerDX (for X8 it can be installed to stock kernel, so why not on the X10 Mini?)
But it seems to get stuck in the kernel logo (Sony Ericsson) and I found out quite late the battery is mounted to the phone..
I tried to get in flash mode for programs such as PC Companion, Flashtool, etc..., but no success there, since I can only "reboot" the phone by pressing Power + Home. It doesn't shut down!
Another tutorial around these forums showed how you can plug out the battery wire, but I'm afraid to do that, since it's not my phone..
Can anyone help me out?

I dont remember the link to the guide but you can try searching in the forum someone explains how to disconnect your battery from the phone.
Btw if you dont want to take some risks yourself than take it to the sony ericsson customre care but they are gonna charge more than they usually will do.
Its always best to use the sony ericsson update service to reset the phone(If you got the courage to remove the battery).
P.S.-Be careful while flashing roms coz x8 rom is only for the x8 and not for other phones. Sometimes due to Baseband and firmware difference some roms which are meant for the x8 dont work on the x8(I've taken the x8 as an example bcoz your device is the x8). Click thanks if my post was helpful

Press home and power buttons together, it will restart the phone, then start pressing the back-button repeatedly to get back into recovery and restore your previous rom from there. (Come to think of it, following my last paragraph below, you probably don't have recovery on your phone anymore, so, as Rempty mentioned above, repairing with SEUS or PC Companion would be the start to recover your phone to a usable state,.)
The error flashtool gave you is because you didn't unlock the bootloader and didn't change the kernel on your phone. It can't flash any non-sony kernel on a locked bootloader.
What is this 'update.zip' you're talking about? Most full roms have more informational names to distinguish between different zips. An update.zip is usually only for hotfixes to ROMS already flashed, and not a complete ROM.

SE logo?? You forgot to install nAa kernel, do you unlock bootloader??, remember that minicm9 is not for stock kernel.

this is what i did to bring back life to my x10 mp.
Switch phone completely off then if not already running start pc companion. then this step really got to me because of the phone constantly restarting, to get pc companion to detect the phone, i pressed and held the back key down and connected the usb cable just like flashing a new kernel. pc companion then detected the phone as x10. doesnt matter. then start the update and you must do the same thing again to force update service to detect the phone and to give the option to repair. then once thats done follow the prompts through update service, it will then ask you what phone you have, choose x10 mini pro and update.its a long process but be patient and your phone will work again.
