Could you please mention your baseband as well. As the theme is meant for the 2.0.2.A.0.24 version of 2.1 only.
Hope this helps

mate,
Its clearly posted that this theme is for Beta3 only.. if ur using 2.1, then your not using Beta3 because its for 2.2 froyo by Z.. U might want to check our what u flash in ur phone before doing it..
Niwei, if SEUS is not working, u might just have to FLASH ur phone again using the flasher made by B4nary.. find it in the other threads.. might help in ur reading.. Since ur already using xrecovery and ur phone is already rooted, try to flash beta3 un your phone then if u dont like 2.2, reflash using SEUS.. hope this helps..

There is also a version for 2.1 as stated in the title and in the thread, but if they've flashed the wrong one then obviously it wont work.

Partition? ext* system?
I think give xrec another shot. Keep pressing back key repeatedly when "SE" logo is displayed. Works for me everytime. Btw which ROM you on?
If that doesn't works then use flash tool 0.2.6 by bin4ry and use the guide by androxyde to re-install xRecovery.

Correct me if I am wrong. But doesnt Xrecovery have a Factory Reset option ?
Aside from that, I thought I had bricked my phone a week or so ago when Z released Beta 4. I could boot up to the SE Logo and go no further, couldnt even get into xrecovery. However, give this a shot, it worked for me to get it into flash mode so I could do a recovery on SEUS..
- Pop you battery out
- Connect USB Cord without batter in.
- Reinsert Batter while holding Back button
- The Screen should light up white for a split second but go back off.
- The Green Light at the top of the phone should stay on now
That should put you into Flash Mode for SEUS. The just do a recovery.
Yes, you will loose all of your information but hey, atleast you arn't buying another phone.
_____
Next time, read the post cleary and don't just think you know what your doing.
If the FW Version doesnt match you can lock your phone up pretty good.
If the Base Band doesn't match up, then you can mess up your Service and possibly put your phone into a repeating boot cycle.

done and currently hanging.. i'm confused
okay it works!!! which is weird because i went back to odin the cm7 kernal and i tried to go into recovery and it rebooted... weird method but i'll run with it
[SOLVED]
I started the procces to flash in a custom rom, but being very careful, I proceed step by step, reading a lot in the forum.
First I rooted my X10 : I chose Z4root method, because it can be done without a PC, it comes with temporary root and unroot option. I know it work, because I can use apps that require root (easytether for instance).
Then I installed xRecovery. I could boot in xRecovery (though I had to make a couple restart before succeeding) and I made a backup.
Finally I rode a lot on different rom. It took me a long time and many days ellapsed since my xRecovery backup, so when I finally made up my mind, a new backup is required.
And then come my problem : I can't boot in xRecovery anymore.
I know I have to press 'back' several time 'just after SE label'. Well, when I boot my phone I first get a SE label, then an animation and a new SE label (with image logo). I tried to press 'back' many time at both two SE label, then press and hold, even tried the 'home' button. I never boot in xRecovery.
As I am a bit paranoid, I don't let my phone rooted when not required. I reroot everytime I need it. And of course I did it before trying to boot in xRecovery. Could it be that I messed up xRecovery doing this ? I tried to reinstall xRecovery, but obviously it does nothing (I have 'file already exist' message for each of the three 'cp commands).
I feel a bit dumb ending up asking for such a silly problem, but there must be something obvious I miss, and I can't find out what.
Thank you just for reading.
You have to press it a few times right after the very first SE logo appears.
From my X10a running WB CM 6.1.3 V054
Well I still can't boot in xRecovery whatever I do. I press many time 'back' just after first SE label but I get nothing but normal boot. I guess smething is messed up with xRecovery. I'd like to reinstall it, so I first need to have a way of uninstalling it.
Thank you anyway.
Hmm have You checked busybox? Try to uninstall xRecovery and busybox, and do a clean install of these apps. Should work.
Install xRecovery with FlashTool, it's easyer !!
umm reinstall busybox, maybe a different version if you must, and then reinstall xrecovery. tada

Yes of course. When I want to use xRecovery, I need a permanent root (that's what I did). I only unroot when done and use temporary root only for tethering.
Thank you for your help.
Busibox. It was obvious. I should have found out myself...
Why wouldn't you just leave the phone rooted? really doesn't make any sense and means you can't use root apps. Rooting your phone does nothing to void your warranty and without the bootloader being unlocked there is nothing you could do to mess it up that couldn't be fixed by simply reflashing.

I firmly re-assure you, that rooting is NOT dangerous. All you need to do is connect to flashtool and click root. Also, lets say IF you screw up. just download the tft firmware file, no problem. As good as new.

1) are you on the right baseband
2) have you done a full wipe through xrecovery -cache,dalvik,battery stats
3) have you installed busybox
4) have you even got xrecovery
And the list could go on. So look at what i said and check everything because if both those roms didnt work, you must be the problem not doing it right

Hello yes I installed busybox and xrecovery. I went into xrecovery by pressing the back button at the startscreen. I wiped my phone to factory setting. Wiped my cache, dalvik and battery stats. After that I installed a new rom through SD and I rebooted. But after 10 seconds it freezes and reboots.
Ive used my recovery to go back to fw 2.1 What am I doing wrong? The baseband (54) was right,
What's the ROM are you on? And what baseband? That will help us solve your problem.

Hey
I was on GingerReal1.4, and wanted to try out overclocking on CM7. Made a backup on CWM and then installed CM7, tried, happy and decided to go back.
Now when I try to restore the backup, most of my apps arent being detected and the launcher is back to touchwiz and I can't seem to find superuser also. I assumed this maybe because sd-ext is not being detected. So I tried installing a2sd-gui from my titanium backup, that seems to work and isn't showing me any problem. I also tried reinstalling the kernel, didn't work.
And Ive tried restoring about 5 times till now, same result.
Am I doing something wrong?? Any help would be rly rly awesome...
Thanks

Then logically the problem is in that backup.
yea, that's what I'm thinking, though I did not get any errors while doing the backup.
I read about someone else having a similar issue a long tym back in the galaxy s forum, and i dont see any suggestions or solutions there.
Anyway, given up for now, will take care of it some other tym...
Backing up all i got and switching to CM now.
Do let me know if something pop's up and you remember this issue of mine.
Thanks again
No.. The backup is not the problem. I have read somewhere that the problem lies with the bootloader.
When you upgrade to CM 7, it uses the 2.3.7 bootloader. And now you are trying to restore a backup associated with a 2.3.4 bootloader. The restore does not contain the bootloader. Thus you may experience a bootloop.
The only get around is to flash via odin.
Hit thanks if i helped.

What do you mean when you say you cant root anymore because you have CWM? Rooting and CWM are on separate tracks in this case, CWM does not stop you from rooting your phone. Are you saying you dont want to root?
Also, rooting is very simple, just change your kernel to cf-root(to be flashed via CWM, check http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1158197 ) and you get added advantages like ext4, BLN, a2sd support etc.
PS: Read all you can before doing anything
