I downloaded the latest build (FRX04_Full_Bundle_12.2.2011.zip) from the xdandroid website and followed instructions. Android seems to boot up fine, but after it comes up, only one place on the screen (bottom center) seems to recognize touch. Most of the screen is unresponsive. What am I doing wrong?
Use an old tscalibration file for your device, or look around here to find one.
Please, use search before posting.
Thanks, but...
Thanks, but search has not been working since yesterday.

Oh... sorry then. Which device do you have, TP2? In one of the build threads there is a tscalibration for you if it's that, don't remember the exact one.

Lol, you downloaded it straight from the mirror site that's what you're doing wrong.
See my FRX04 thread.

I was Trying to go back to the stock rom, and the way I understood it was to reloack the Tiatan. So I did. Next Ran RUU with stock Rom and now is stuck in Bootloader. Tried to run Unlocker and has to be connected to Activesync first. Can some one help ??????
When you said bootloader screen. Do you mean the tri-color display (where you see the SPL version)?
If so, you need to get Titan_ExitBl.exe.
Before you launch that file, make sure you disable the USB connection in ActiveSync.
If you are stuck at the logo splash screen, press POWER, CAMERA and RESET buttons together.
It will take you back to the tri-color display (bootloader), where you can update your Radio and OS ROMs.
Yes I am stuck at the tri color screen
It is stuck at the tri color screen, tried to load same rom as was running and it stick at loading with 0%. On my computer it goes to recovery mode. also tried to unlock again, but this is where I have to be connected to Activesync.
If anyone has link to this file I am looking but havent found it yet. searching for these theads can be pretty complex. All the info is all spread out.
Thanks for any help
Titan_ExitBl.exe mirror
Could someone post a thread for Titan_ExitBl.exe? PPC geeks has been down and several people could use this. I don't need it now but would like to have it just in case.
Thanks!

I've followed the instructions on flashing my phone with the Hardspl, but it doesn't work. The screen on my phone would go black and nothing happens after that. The loading bar on the screen doesn't move, it stays at 0% until the error msg comes up. i tried using the Manualspl and it doesn't work either...
any idea?

Check the Hard SPL thread. I had a similar problem. So did others. Here is what worked for me:

There are a few posts around that one too from others.

THANK YOU SIR!!! it worked
Right, so my i5503T (Australian) was having some wi-fi troubles. I looked it up, and it was suggested to me that I upgrade to Cyanogenmod 7 (for Galaxy 5). Anyway, I installed Clockworkmod, it was fine, then I hard reset the phone (through Clockworkmod) and from then on, when booting it got to the flashing samsung, and stayed there for over 3 hours. After that I turned it off. I did the stupid thing, and went ahead installing Cyanogenmod. Now, as soon as I turn it on, it says 'ANDROID' in small white text in the top-right corner of the screen, and won't go away, EVER. ANY help would be very much so, I got the phone as a gift for chistmas..... *facepalm*
Thanks.
EDIT: It was (natively?) running Froyo before I broke it, and I would like to get it back there, or better (Cyanogenmod).
I have a working Eclair rom (2.1), but I don't want to use it...
Are you able to get it into download mode at all?
Sent from my R800i using XDA App
Yea, I can get into download mode fine, but booting up, not so much.
Update: I used Check Fus Downloader to get firmware, had to use New Zealand as there was no actual Aussie model availible (???). Anyway, I flashed it with odin 4.28 (please tell me it is the right version!) and it is doing the same thing, with the flashing Samsung logo and all. Also, it vibrates once, then three times a few seconds later, then repeats every.... ummm, 30 secs?
Hey, I'm not an expert on this subject but I have messed around with my Galaxy 5 a lot, I broke it 4 times, but I'm guessing your problems could be fixed by;
Shove your device into Download Mode.
Use Odin to flash Clockwork Recovery.
It should now reboot into CW recovery.
Clear dalvik cache, cache and do a reset.
That might sort out any problems as my phone did this after my first flash but clearing the above sorted it out, if that doesn't work then do the same again but then; try flashing another rom onto your device, and see how it goes.
Somebody with more knowledge should correct my post if need be.

try removing your battery and let it out for few minutes, 2 min is enough, than insert the battery and reboot..
hope that solve your loop..
P.S.: did you do a wipe?
Could it have anything to do with the fact I have a i5503T, and that the ops is i5508?
OK, well it's fixed now, sorry for the trouble. It turned out I was missing one of the cyanogenmod files. Soooo, yeah I fell like a massive idiot, but everything turned out fine and well. Cyanogenmod is heaps better than Froyo, so I'm glad about that. Thanks all.

1. Putting info in your title will get you a lot more help.
2. FRX07 is old and largely unsupported. I suggest GBX0C.
3. Boot time should never be more that 10-15min.
thanks for replying...
Actually this is my first time.....will correct it in following posts.... anyway...thanks
as you said..i installed gingerbread..it boots.....but when i call for the first time...phone automatically switched off.....what to do?

Posting in that thread for support will get you the best response. You will need to post logs for us to be able to help you. We know nothing, not even what kind of phone you have. So we can't help without more information. To the best of my knowledge no one has reported an issue similar to what you are describing.

Perhaps the prox sensor is working now and it didn't before in FRX? If the phone nears your face, it will turn off in-call. Pull the phone away from your face, and it should light back up... You can simulate this by placing your finger over the left side of the earpiece.
If that's not it, I'd guess you did something wrong on the install? Forgot the CSV step perhaps? I'm not sure what "automatically switched off" means, which is why I speculated above about the prox sensor...
what i meant was, when i boot to android..it boots well but after few minutes it automatically boots back to WinMo....i can't find any log file for this....i thought this may be because of the older kernels attached with the GBX0C pack......

Hrm, odd...
There's only one kernel in the GBX0C pack - find other kernels here.
Did you select the proper startup.txt? Did you perform the CSV step required for GBX0C? Make sure you're following the steps properly in the FRX thread - the same steps apply for installing GBX, except for the previously mentioned CSV step.
I've got this device from a friend, he asked me to help him to fix it.He bought new device and started to mess around with it. Rooting, installing CM7 and, maybe, smthng else. Thant the device started to miss some touches. So he did unregistered the device. From what i've seen on this forum, it can be caused by 5\10 multitouch driver. So i tried to use 8 fail boots method to reset the device, it didn't helped me. Than i tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1402190 method - it didn't helped me either. Does this two solutions guarantee to restore original 2 touches driver? Do i need to do something else? Or he have to purchase new touch screen panel?
P.S. I have a 16 Gb version

Yeah. I read all i could find. Some of them say, that i popped out my microSD card and touch screen started to work. The other ones talk about 10 points touch screen driver issue. That was my question - will device factory reset reflash the old, 2 point touch screen driver. If it wouldn't - i'll have to do this by myself - i haven't yet figured out all the details - to much new and unknown staff. But if it would - probably, this tabled need new touch frame. The problem is - i don't really know, what exactly had been done to the tablet.
Read it again! Restoring to original will not reset the touch firmware. The discussion a couple of posts below this at this moment tells you waht you need to do, or at least what you can try.
Edit:
Better post link to topic even though it's just few lines down right now
