Hey guys,
finally manage to figure out how to upgrade my streak. but after I upgraded my streak. I dont get any mobile network. there is not 3g. can someone tell me how to fix it? i have tried factory reset. but that didnt work
Had this problem as well and it turns out i had the wrong baseband so it wouldnt recieve a singal... all it had were bars with a little x over it.
I solved my problem by rolling back to 2.1 the upgraded to 2.2 via QDL tool(search for it) and all has been well since HTH.
try installing the amss baseband from the streakdroid link.
i guess your from 2.1 or 1.5...
1.8.1 needs froyo baseband...
IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO UPDATE TO THE BELOW BASEBAND FOR 1.5.1+

Now i'm using Dell Streak from at&t baseband and I using 2.1 from O2 already
but when I try to upgrade to Stephen Hyde's 2.2, it stuck on dell icon more than 15mins everytime i tried. i don't know why ? so i go back to use 2.1
I did install the amss upgrade, so is it because of the baseband or anything else?
Help me please, so confusing with that????
Thanks

flash 1.1, then flash 1.2 without a factory reset in between. this worked for me after being stuck where you are.
This is not Android Development .
Please post a problem about Steve's ROM in his thread and not spam the forum with it .
I'm currently running FreeX10 B3H1, I see that B4 is out and all it apears to do is add support for the new Baseband... is there any notice improvements with the updated baseband?
I'm also not entirely sure what the baseband does
The baseband is the radio of the phone, so basically it controls your call quality, signal, mobile network, etc..
As fire why to upgrade, I can honestly say I haven't noticed any real benefits since I updated. However, as time progresses newer roms are going to be based on this version so if you want to keep flashing custom roms eventually you will have to upgrade anyway..
Hi,
I attempted to install Beta 4 last night (first time installing FreeX10). But now it is in a non stop reboot cycle and will not get any signal. It stays on for about a minute and then reboots everytime. Having read more on this I think it could be Baseband related. When I check the settings it says Baseband is unknown.
Can I upgrade my Firmware to X10a_2_1_A_0_435_GLOBAL in order to get the correct Baseband and then reinstall FreeX10? And if so, Can I use Flashtool to install X10a_2_1_A_0_435_GLOBAL without issues?
(My phone is an X10i by the way, should I use a different Firmware before re-installing FreeX10B4?)
Thanks in advance!

hey, for d "unknown baseband" problem u have to wait for d auto reboot after d 1st boot..only then d baseband and network will appear..
and for d boot loop problem-u will need to update to d .435 firmware (.52 baseband and .29 kernels)..or if u want to keep d old firmware install beta3..(beta 4 is only for .435 firmware)
happy flashing bro.

no you don't...
flashing just the kernel and the baseband through flashtool has the EXACT same effect...
I don't understand why my X10i BB 2.1.54 currently running MIUI 0.3.1 ROM from Trip gave me soooo much reboots.
I gave my X10i re-flashed about 5 times already and still had no luck to get a rid of this. It caused random reboots while I was using wifi or edge / gprs.
PLEASE ADVICE!!!

If you did read the MIUI thread of Trip good, you would see he is recommending baseband .49.
Succes, and report progress buddy.
I have also had a lot of reboots with trips rom, but after a while when the cache is populated it settles down. To sum it up. Whenever I install a new application or use something I have not used before (market, mail client, etc) it will reboot after a little while (this is especially noticeable for apps that uses any form of communication). But after the first reboot/app I have not been noticing a lot of reboots.

hey guyz, i tried using the flashtool to flash the 0.49 baseband but it never seems to work for me. first i flash the X10a_2.1update1_r2.1.A.0.435_Generic.ftf which comes with .54 baseband. then i used xrecovery to install miui 1.0.5. i know it says we need .49 or .52 baseband but i cant get to flash it. it flashes and at the end u get msg saying unplug device, turn on debug and i chek the baseband, it says unknown. please help me get baseband .49 on my x10.

Hi, welcome to XDA developers!
I'll try and help as much as possible...
Which kernel are you on? Stock or some custom kernel?
Thank you, I use Stock Rom, I thing it's Stock kernel. I tried to test many of the original Rom but the situation has not improved.
Another problem is that after many tests, I found only when using GoogleMaps with 3G, the machine I was reboot, if used with wifi is fine. So is 3G is the problem? but I still surf the Web using 3G normally without any problems. Hope your help!

Hi, it might be baseband problem, maybe baseband .71 isn't for you... Try this:
9Lukas5 said:
- Baseband 2.1.67
- smsBB67 patch
- Kernel upgrade
flashing procedure:
-The baseband and the kernel upgrade must be placed in the firmwares folder from flashtool and the sms patch on to the sdcard.
-After you have flashed the rom and the xrecovery now also flash the sms patch before remove the battery.
-In Flashtool flash first the 2.1.67 Baseband, after flashing finished, remove usb cable and select the kernel upgrade and connect the usb again when flashtool asks.
-After both (bb and kernel upgrade) flashed, you can remove the usb-cable and power on the device with everything working on bb 2.1.67.

Yep now flash bb67 via flashtool.
After that you will need to flash Kernel UpGrade.
If you need help with flashtool you can ref here:

My phone is X10a, I've flash the rom 2.3 of X10a and then I flash baseband .67 as your guide and was successful, I have cured this disease. My X10 was running fine. Thank you again. (earlier I just flash the Rom 2.3 of X10i )
Hi there
I think the reason why I do not see a network or SIM card is because the baseband is empty as well as the IMEI.
I installed ICS Dynamite 4.0 and I assume that maybe the missing baseband is the reason.
I am Germany right now, does it matter what baseband I am going to use?
Interestingly when I flash back a working Cyanogen 7 rom a baseband is back.
Any tips?

which cm7 build did you flash?

Are you on the old baseband?
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
being in germany or any other part of the world really shouldnt matter about baseband....v10 is old baseband, if you rooted a stock phone, than yes your on old baseband or so I was when I first got this phone....In order to get v20, you need to use LGDMP v1.5, search for Doktonor's thread on flashing with LGDMP....it's not that hard really, and applies to any v20 series (a,b,c,etc)...all you do is extract the 7z file format, open LGDMP, you'll have 4 files total in this extracted folder.....I cant remember to the T on the whole process but the thread by doktonor is with pictures and well be able to help you out....if your having a problem with mobile data and dont want to risk switching basebands, than look out for aspee's baseband fix or a funny sim fix....it's best to go ahead and flash new baseband, it's easy though....as far as your phone not showing IMEI, that's common on some CM7 based roms, even neko95's Moto Razr-UI v7 rom shows no baseband on my phone, not exactly sure why it does that but I am on new baseband (obviously, since mobile data works)
