Archos 101 External Keyboard lay out support Chinese input ?
what do you mean? I use HKIME and can type chinese
My mean is that I use the External USB keyboard input chinese word.

I think I saw it on my UrukDroid 0.7 but not sure, I'll check and tell you.
If I have it, I'll attach both files here but you'll have to get your Archos rooted to install them.
Thanks for your kind.
Had a look, there's no Chinese support, only Japanese, sorry

hi
i have a question regarding the "smart dial".
i installed on my hero a language support (installed fonts on it),
as it was posted here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=544002
(BTW thank u fakeer )
im also using "any soft keyboard" to write and search contacts.
the problem is that when i tap on "phone" i can only get "smart dial pad" with English letters on it...
is there a way to change it to a different keypad?
also, if i install the new ROM will it delete my language support i added?

How to set language ???
See that post.
Or you could do this :
1. Go To "Settings" - "Language and Keyboard"
2. Click "Select Language" and choose your language from the list
3. Go to your SMS Application and click to write.
4. If you cannot see a language selection in the keyboard just rotate the phone.
5. In the QWERTY Keyboard select your language
6. Your can now write in your language using the T9 Keyboard aswell.
7. Enjoy

Hi,
I recently upgrade my French Atrix to Gingerbread 2.3.6 with the NottachTrix 1.3.1, and with Ubuntop 1.1.0.
The problem is that Webtop keyboard is in QWERTY, and I want it in AZERTY, and in 'Settings > Language and Keyboard', I d'ont have 'External Keyboard', so I can't switch to French.
As it's mentionned in the Features of Nottachtrix4G rom, there is "-External Keyboard Settings". Why I don't have it?
Does anyone know what apk/library to check in my system?
Thanks
Does anyone have the azerty.kl in "/system/usr/keylayout/" and azerty.kcm.bin in "/system/usr/keymaps/" please ?
Try this command in the LXterminal:
sudo setxkbmap fr
maybe you need somthing else not "fr". I use "hu" for the hungarian
keyboard layout, which is qwerty and additionally öüóőúéáű
the only thing that you need to use this command every time
you put your phone into the lapdock So if anyone knows how
to make it start up automatically that would be great for me
Did you try it?
Hi,
Yes it works, but when I connect the phone to my TV with HDMI cable, the keyboard on phone is still QWERTY.
I found a solution to make "External keyboad setings" appears in "Language & keyboard settings" menu:
I change 'Select locale' to Italiano, then I can see "External keyboad setings", and select French. Then switch back to French in Select Locale
I'm not at home and I can't test if it works, I will update if it does.
NB: The ref link of the solution was on Nottachtrix forum http://www.nottachtrix.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=523
I flashed the Liquidsmooth rom but the only language shown is English.
Is there anyway to add Korean as well?
Tried to google a fix but did not get any luck.
Go to language and unput under setting -> set samsung keyboard as default -> select samsung keyboard setting -> select input languages -> update both English and Korean -> select English (which will take you to previous setting) -> select Korean ->check and make sure both languages appear under 'input languages'..... You're done!

Default keyboard for Liquidsmooth ROM is just "Android Keyboard" and when I check under input languages, Korean is not a listed option.
Is there any other workaround for this?

Will these keyboards work even if im on an AOSP 4.2.2 ROM?
Is there any way to edit system [not user's] dictionary?? Android keyboard is suggesting me a lot of misspelled words (my lang is pt-br) and those words were never typed by me. An example of this (I don't know why but still I'm giving one) is the word "no" in portuguese: "não". It is giving me "náo". It's not a big difference, but I apreciate that something I typed correctly won't be turned to an error.

instead of editing sytem dictionary why dont you just disable auto-correct option from your stock keyboard..
or you could add those words to your dictionary
for GB rom: Settings -> Language & Keyboard -> User Dictionary
for ICS n above: Settings -> Language & Keyboard -> Touch Input (settings button) -> Personal Dictionary -> Edit personal dictionary
Thanks for the reply, but I want to keep auto correction... I guess I will try to correct the errors I go finding by putting the right word in the user dictionary.
