where is my CWMR? what i flashed?
trying to use rom manager but got error signature verification failed in Android system recovery (2e)
I did not post 10 messages and cannot ask it in that topic
PS: I also have captivate and without any problem rooted it, unlocked and reflashed it to 2.2
verizon makes me ploblems since motorola v710, get it now and etc.
And my bluetooth not working after rooting
I start Googling tango found that peoples have same problems on rooting phones after update.
droidforums dot net
forum/samsung-fascinate/117399-lost-bluetooth-capability-after-update.html
Anybody can say me that I need to reflash?
And provide link to download and string name in Odin
Another problem, I cannot update firmware. I lived in canada and to activate phone I need to be in states.
That's an old CWM. You want the new CWM for all ROMs. Can't post a link, but it's in the devs forum by jt. Flash the Odin file and you should be fine.

Its latest cwmr 3.0.0.8
But... I can only run it if I choose "reboot into recovery" from rom manager.
3 buttons or adb reboot recovery or even reboot recovery from advanced menu of cwmr start samsung e2 recovery. Is it correct? How to access cwmr if I will not be able to boot?

I don't know where I failed. I got into download mode, selected the tar for the JL5 T-Mobile leak, and now I'm bricked.
Sorry to be another idiot, but I could really use some help? I just got my vibrant today.

Just to add more info...
I'm coming from stock and this is my first flash via ODIN. All I wanted was to go to Froyo via the leaked JL5 build.
Just to clarify, do I select the .tar via PDA or Phone?
I can get back into Download Mode, no problem. I just can't get ODIN to flash the .tar of the JL5 leak. What have I done wrong?
I tried restarting the computer, etc.
Just kept trying and it eventually worked.
Sorry for the panic.
So can you boot up at all or only into download mode
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
No, I could only boot into download mode. I just kept restarting and reconnecting, and eventually, it worked. No problems.
I had the drivers installed, so ODIN recognized the COM right away. It just failed on the first flash, and since it was my first day with the new phone (and my wife was sitting next to me) I started to panic a bit.
OK If it is failing and you can still reboot into the old rom?
It really looks like a bad download. Delete the JL5 and download again
IF you can boot ok to 2.1, then load the tar file in PDA no pit file necessary, and do not check repartition
If you cannot boot up anymore. Look in development or in the bible the shipping rom
Odin the shipping rom, load the pit file, load the tar in PDA and check repartition.
After that is fine and boots, you can try with the new downloaded jl5

"edit": i can also get it to boot normally now, it then shows a yellow triangle with exclamation mark (soo sorry for bad spelling, i'm trying my very best)
The yellow triangle isn't a problem. Doesn't mean theres any problem with the phone. Only there as a visual indicator that the phone has been flashed. If it bothers you, search for chainfire's "triangle away" app.
Edit:
If you're unable to install cyanogenmod you can try this..
-first ensure you're on ICS and not on GB.
-download the tar version of siyah kernel for the S2.
install it via Odin..steps similar to what you used to install cf.
once you've flashed siyah, you should have root access and cwm recovery. Now you can install CM or any other custom rom.

great!!!!! that kernel works like a charm....
only problem is, i can't get into the cwm recovery....
ps the yellow triangle wasn't the one under "samsung", it had something to do with an faulty upgrade and that you should reconnect to keis.... anyway, thats fixed now... thx a lot

Can't you get into recovery using the vol up+ home+ power button combo?
It takes some getting used to..most custom ROMs provide the option to go directly into rcovery from the power menu itself.
Don't you have the CWM app? Can gt into recovery mode through that too.

Here are the steps I processed towards that nightmare:
1 - I wanted to try the Cyanomod 10 official, but after first reboot, it was getting stuck on the splash screen (wheel rolling).
2 - So I tried to boot in recovery (power + vol. up) but nothing
3 - I reinstalled cwd using odin 1.83, fine
4 - reboot in CWM
5 - tried to reinstall Cyano => installation aborted
6 - I installed a padawan4 (which was still on my ext sd) => nothing, cannot boot in recovery mode again
7 - retried odin (all logs seem to be OK) -- see below:

But nothing, no Android, no CWM, only stock recovery...
What could I do?
Thanks
Find the thread to flash without increasing flash counter.
In there are commands you can copy and paste into adb to manually push a custom recovery.
Thanks!

Well, after following the first steps here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1634087 (is this the one you thought about?), I ended by getting back a working CWM. I have not processed the "risky" steps after, because it's not a big deal for me to have several flashes recorded in my ODIN mode counter. I then reinstalled TWRP and Cyanogen last version which works fine so far.
Hello,
I am trying to flash openrecovery-twrp-2.7.1.0-i9300.tar to my Galaxy S3 i9300 with Odin 3.09
The process seems to complete successfully and Odin shows a [PASS!] but once i reboot in recovery mode TWRP is not there
(i get a "android recovery mode <3e>" screen which i suppose is a vanilla/default recovery mode?).
PS. i have kies3 latest edition installed and windows7 x64 seem to indicate that all phone drivers are installed correctly.

Try again untick reboot in odin wait until it flashes switch phone off or pull battery and reboot manually Volume up + Home+Power see if that works.
Flash CWM first. After that you can try flash TWRP via odin or via recovery

I am not familiar with CWM, i will be googling it now and see what i can find in case i need to proceed with it.
I found this CWM bundle that also has a version of odin that reportedly works with my i9300.
MEGA_CO_NZ link -> /#!csdzBRRb!V-ZDrGuVB29Ywq9tdE64BGGJwpNvHFibeS9TQ2y2p1o samsung-galaxy-s3-i9300-touch-cwm-odin.zip
followed the steps but boom even that was to no avail (i also tried to refollow the steps once with the no restart option @tallman43 mentioned.

A am not fan of CWM also. CWM (or Philz touch) will be only the way how to get TWRP
I rooted my phone using odin3 then tryed to flash the sdk23 arm64 xposed framework using flashify
Now im stuck on the samsung word logo 'boot loop' and i don't know how to fix it:crying:
Also have a custom recovery [TWRP]
now i think i broke it :crying: i cant get into the recovery mode i dont why but i went to advance wipe and check all of it
also now doesnt do to the samsung word logo it stays on the samsung galaxy s6 powered by android screen
also when charging no green is seen just a empty battery with lighting bolt
plus KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING in red in the top left corner.
Think i basicallly wiped everything ohno
I'm struggling to understand why you were using Flashify to install Xposed, especially since you have TWRP. Regardless, you have to try and get it into Download Mode. If you can, you should be able to reinstall the original firmware.

i am able to get to download mode (odin mode right?), now how do i reinstall the original firmware? (maybe link me some steps)
1000 tutorials here on xda or youtube.
Basic structure:
find / download firmware
boot to Download Mode
open Odin as admin
place .tar or .tar.md5 file of the firmware in AP slot if one 1 large file or if it is split into multiple ones then they will be labeled obviously for BL, AP, CP, CSC just like in Odin.
Hit start and wait for a bit. If the flash is successful but it is stuck in a boot loop, then reboot to the stock recovery and reset it.

Looks like you're using the wrong firmware. You have to use one for your variant and you typically can't downgrade bootloaders so it's gotta be the same firmware or newer.
