As far as I have used in my Milestone 2, I created my Motoblur account on the phone over 3g. I dont know about atrix but for Milestone 2 Motoblur account creation works.
Also you can skip the motoblur account setup by pressing the Menu button and choosing Skip Setup.

I know that. I also have Motorola Milestone, Motorola Milestone 2, Motorola Droid, Motorola Droid X, Motorola Droid Devour, Motorola Cliq, Motorola BackFlip an Motorola FlipOut. All the same. Motorola Atrix 4G quitely different.
I also already "Master Reset" and "Factory Reset" but MotoBlur ID of the seller still there and not delete.
Finally solve the problem after Hard Reset my Motorola Atrix 4G.
How did you do the "Hard Reset" that worked for you?

Very fustrating situation for about 10 weeks now.....
My Atrix is a "Motorola" one, and not with any AT&T logo. I bought it brand new from Amazon over 2 months ago. With help from the XDA-Developers forums, I first unlocked the bootloader, then I upgraded from 2.2 to 2.3.4 Gingerbread (4.5.91). I then rooted the phone so I could install apps that require a rooted phone such as Titanium Backup Pro. All these procedures went very smoothly.
This was over 2 months ago before Motorola released 2.3.4. I did open a Motoblur account and thru Blur I loaded software back into the phone thru Google. Everything works with my Atrix except for making phone calls, I more recently did a "factory reset", then sent it back to the Motorola repair facility, and now it is there again for a 3rd time.
I have an AT&T GoPhone account. When the phone boots up with an AT&T SIM card installed, it goes to the "SIM Network Unlock Pin" request screen. I have worked with both Motorola and AT&T tech support personnel for many, many hours to get my Atrix to accept the unlock code I have been given from AT&T (22314992). The Atrix response is always "Network unlock pin unsuccessful".
The phone otherwise works beautifully after a fastboot cold boot (wi-fi, program installs & usage, etc). But one simple problem...I can not make phone calls.
Motorola Case #110908-002725
WIth both AT&T and Motorola techs we have tried 5 different SIM cards, 2 post-pay accounts, and 1 GoPhone account. The phone is presently with Motorola for the 3rd time. This time I am requesting them to test my Atrix with a GoPhone SIM card and for them to attempt to unlock the phone. I asume that the first 2 times they only reinstalled software. Unfortunately, Motorola will not let me communicate directly with their repair department.
I strongly desire to maintain my GoPhone account for my Atrix. I should not be required to have a post-pay account. I now think that the problem is not simply a SIM card problem. Perhaps at this point Motorola should replace my Atrix with a new one.
Suggestions please???
If you bought it directly from Motorola / ATT (as in - if you phone has warranty) and they can't get it to work even with ATT, they should replace it.
If your purchased it without warranty you are SOL.
OP
Did you ever get your Motorola Atrix unlock code to work?
I have a Motorola Atrix that came with 2.3.4 GB and it will not accept the unlock code.
Awaiting your reply.
I got mine from Ebay and the dealer sent me an unlock code with it and no problem when I entered it...I tried with a Tmobile sum and it worked sans 3g.
Maybe its the wrong code they
gave to you by accident

My Atrix Was Replaced by Motorola
The Motorola repair facility got in a large shipment of new Atrix cellphones this past Monday. They started distributing them to those individuals who were having serious repair problems (rather than repairing the old ones). I got mine this morning and I can now finally make phone calls. Now I have to figure out again how to root my Atrix so I can use Titanium Pro again to load my backup files into my new Atrix.
Can i flash a new ESN onto a motorola droid? A friend bought it on Ebay and it was apparently stolen. I'm familiar with rooting and flashing, this just seemed like it may not be possible due to Verizon being the carrier.

yes, you can do it.. I also use motorola droid (but GSM version)
The Non DST ones like Ntelos surely cause problems. In the past many moto dumb phones would take a DST flash but not the foreign, carrier specific flash. We NEED the unbranded sbfs.
Comments welcome.
Ntelos sbf results : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20898852&postcount=35

Wanna put your hated dx2 into pareless duty?
We need to find the weapon of choice first.
Yes, Cellular South changed their name to CSpire. How would one go about getting an sbf? If its possible to do on my device, I'd be willing.

The DST ones I think Moto keep under lock & key. ***** & demand?
I have been emailing Cspire for an SBF for a while now, they keep referring me to my local store. The local stores have no clue what an sbf is or what it does. I made a few comments on their Facebook page which usually gets results but still nothing
Good luck... I worked for them for five years as a tech... the local stores are between a rock and a hard place...

I've had a Droid X2 for about a year. My wife decided that she wanted to try a smart phone and liked my X2. So, I got a Galaxy Note II for myself and gave her the X2. On my Note II, Verizon assigned the phone number I had previously on my X2. Then, they assigned the phone number my wife had been using on her previous "dumb phone" to the X2. I didn't do a factory reset on the X2...we just assigned the new number. Well, everything's working fine except for one thing. Somehow, the X2 seems to know that it previously had the other phone number and if I call her or text her from my Note II, the call or text shows as coming from a contact called "Me" instead of my name. I've searched everywhere trying to get rid of "Me" but no luck.
Anybody got any ideas?

I think that somewhere in the Phone or Contacts apps, I've seen an option to set "Own number" that was used for that kind of things, but I'm not sure on which ROM did I see it, and it may be a different story for phone. But you can give it a try and search in that direction, maybe it helps.
guys heres my story. About a month ago I hard bricked my ATRIX 2, Played stupid with Motorola. RMA'd it was nice to the people at customer service Because it took awhile for them to get it worked out well after one chat with customer service a new RMA was sent to my email About a XT912 after about 2 weeks got a package with a brand new RAZR MAXX. Now my problem is it has no carrier brand. it dose show up with a activate screen when I first turn it on. I am waiting on a sim card cutter to make my current sim fit. But my question is will it work on a Straight talk ATT sim card and is the XT908 factory unlocked
is there anybody out there?

The xt912 is the Verizon Wireless version of the Razr Maxx. Just to be safe, you should see if it says xt912 or xt910 on the bottom of the backside of the phone. (Near the bottom of the Kevlar).
