hey guys, can anyone tell me how i can get adobe flash player for my T-Mobile HD2? and how to get wifi router too? bc the T-Mobile version doesn't have the wifi router. thanks
If you're talking about Flash content on websites, Opera can be tweaked to display some basic flash (with Flash Light), but Skyfire displays most flash content (yes, even Hulu), although I've found the playback a bit choppy and out of sync more often than not. Sadly, Adobe has abandoned developing Flash 10 for WinMo 6.5.x, and are instead focusing their efforts on the Windows 7 phone series. You can find the Opera tweaks here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=544770
You can download Skyfire from www.skyfire.com.
As for the Wi-Fi app, it's here:

Good luck and enjoy your HD2!
why they get so bad to hd2??why they living such as good phone as this like they throwing it away like a garbage..damn it!we cant have flash player 10 on hd2??what?????
even nokia can play flash and not hd2?oh my god why is that happening???we must find tweaks and 3rd party like apps to make browser support full flash?i m getting nervus with microsoft.. aaarrrghhhh!!!!!! ;p ;p
both of the apps are essential.even tho the tmobile 3g sucks but i still played xbox live using the tmobile 3g with the wifi router app, works pretty good and the skyfire its pretty good on wifi.
flash 10.1 on HTC HD2?
I'm not really sure if Adobe is abandoning the HD2 (Leo)...
as you can see on Adobe Devnet mobile demos article (Google it) The developer is previewing flash (probably not the new v10.1 ) on an HTC HD2.
Let's keep fingers crossed, that the WinMo 6.5.x won't be left behind...

Normally I accept any opinion if it is true and faithful, but I consider this as a bad try to rise a discussion which phone is the best. To post something like this in a thread about flash support is so ridiculous. Finish school, learn to read, and to understand. Make your own opinion, and do not only believe what Steve has said.
Ah by the way ><(((°>

After reading through the fixOperaFlash thread, it doesn't seem to be working on the HD2 (at least not the TMOUS stock roms). Our Opera version is 9.7 35801... this is not listed, and a few users (on about page 100) are having issues trying to run this mod. I was going to try it out myself until I actually read the thread... think I'll stick to Skyfire for links that require flash for now.
Bored With the HD 2 and Want an iPhone
As a 4 year programmer of iPhones, I can see why you are bored with the HD2. With the HTC, NOTHING weird happens when I use mine. I am just sooo bored watching streaming video, listening to any radio station in the world, and having everything work 99% of the time! It's sooo much more fun to use the iPhones. Watching NO streaming video unless I use a hundred different apps. And seeing the battery quickly drain on the iPhone with no chance of switching it (unless you're a surgeon) just makes me giddy! Hey, some of my friends got real excited with their iPhones, some overheating, a couple exploding! Oh, and that exciting feeling that goes thru you when you lose your email account, or when the wifi fails, or when Safari freezes up a dozen times an hour, with the Apple, what can I say.
And trying to sync with itunes is a whole experience in itself. And don't forget that wonderful service thru AT&T that only costs an arm and a leg over 2 years.
I could go on but what is the use of telling you that tweaking the HD 2 or buying the Evo runs circles around the iPhones (including the new iPhone 4G), if you have your mind made up! I recently gave away my iPhones and now live a bored but extremely HAPPY life with my Pro 2 and HD 2.
Yamgo tv picture quality
why does skyfire seem very laggy on the hd2, it seemed to run a lot better on my last phone ( n96) I was also watching yamgo.tv on my hd2 and my friend was watching it on his i phone. I could tell the difference in quality. The i phone picture was alot better. It kept going blury on my hd2. Why is this?

A nice sarcastic reply there. Lets be honest If you dont want to mess around with your phone and all you want to do is jail break it, then the best phone to have is the iphone. Im not that unhappy with my phone because i got it for free on a 18 month contract with virgin mobile - 30 pound a month, 600 minutes, unlimited txts and 1gb internet usage. I would never have paid for this phone. So not a bad deal for a phone i'll only have for 16 months.
Hi
This skyfire is not functional in Australia from 1st July 2010....any other solution?
The Browser "uZardWebP" works too! He plays Flash!
Opera 10.0 has flash too when u go to the options and activate plugins! Not all Flashcontent but sites like youtube or youp*** working with this!
Thanks a lot, sorry for the late reply. I will download the tweak and respond back..best wishes to you and all the great guys here.
I'm a little disappointed that after all the wait as to what Mozilla/Firefox might do with a mobile version that it is Android only at the moment.
Is there anyway to get Skype videochat on Gtablet? I have IMOMessenger so I can actually use Skype text chatting and such, but I wanted to know if its possible to videochat with Gtab... Or videochat with any other programs?
Thanks,
I would be interested in this too. I have tried Skype and Fring to no avail.
The devil aka steve jobs has bribed skype to only come out with an app for iphone and ipad. The android community isn't nified enough to organize a resistance.
Google talk video works pretty well with the VTok app in this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1061097
Works ok, at least till the official updated Google Talk (with video) app is released for Tegra devices.
Justin
Why is Skype this gullible? They did the same deal with Verizon. Skype video works on HTC Thunderbolt. To think that I actually have a paid subscription with Skype and unable to use it on both my HTC EVO 4G and Viewsonic GTablet both with front-facing camera for video chat hurts.
Where is a formidable competition to Skype? Gizmo should have done that but Google bought them years ago and put a lid on it.

Skype currently only has voice servers for android, and for those of us who have been waiting for a video version for android, we maybe out of luck. Microsoft purchased skype just days ago. Although they are saying they will continue to provide services for other platforms beside windows, its doubtful new development will be made in areas like adding video for android.

There is a Skype update which allows video calling for us
only the 7" tab is compatible right ?
Installed but I don't see the option for Video Calling?
Still no support for Tegra 2 (needs NEON instructions)
according to the FAQ (https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA11019/How-do-I-make-video-calls-with-Skype-for-Android") you still need the NEON instructions set, and Tegra 2 is not supported for video.
"* This specifically does not include some tablets that use the Tegra 2 chipset (e.g. Android tablets and Motorola Atrix do not support video calling)."
This is a bit of a bummer, i'm really hoping they get this sorted out soon. It works on my SGS, but i'd really prefer the tablet.
Friing (sp?) works great for video calls for me. I video chat to an iPhone 4 user no problem.

Yes but Fring is not Skype.
Most of the business world uses Skype.
Anyone got this working?

um..yea..this is BS...the flagship tablets aren't supported?!?
I read somewhere that they weren't going to do any deving for tablets until Ice Cream Sandwich comes out... It's up to us to make this happen it seems

The new build of Skype has added video calling support for a number of new devices, including the Photon. It's about time!
Just did a video call between my Evo 3d and photon. Photon seems to have much better ffc video quality, even though I believe it's lower resolution?

Works great front/back and on 3g also.

I had a video chat with the wife and the video quality sucked on both phones..... it was very choppy, we were both on wifi and on the same network. Anyone have similar results?
I could not get my phone to use speakerphone... video chatting sucks if you have to keep using your ear on the headset speaker.
My MoPho works better for Skype and Gtalk video than any other phone I've used.

My 3G calls were choppy and not so hot, but both 4G and WiFi looked a whole lot better for me. I'll test more this weekend.
My MoPho doesn't enter in the skype (as my O2X). Skype doesn't accept user name or password. User name and password is absolutely correct - I was checking it and entered on the computer and on the site repeatedly. Any ideas ?
I am on 3G in Minneapolis and just tried skype video chat with my girlfriend. She was on iPhone 4. The call was very smooth. Love it!
Tried it out with two photons in a sprint store on 4g and the quality was horrible my qik works way better.

I've tried with my co-workers and their DRIOD bionic's. It worked AWESOME! In fact my camera was much clearer than his, even with my bad 3g signal @ work.
Love Skype on my Photon
I downloaded it and did some Skype Calls. Worked great and looked great. I really don't understand the complaints, unless they were in a bad coverage area.
I have had Skype crash (stopped working) several times. I just deleted it and downloaded it.
Not bad for a first draft with video. Did not take them that long to get it out.
I have the photon and the epic and the camera is way better on the photon when using skype,,,,

Is anyone else experiencing problems with Skype video? When I made a call using version 2.5, which I believe is the first version that works with the cams on the Photon, the other person's video is rotated by 90 degrees to landscape mode when I'm viewing it in portrait mode. When I turn the phone to landscape mode, the other person's video rotates again to portrait mode. This means that the other person's video feed is always sideways and rotated 90 degrees from what it should be. The other person I spoke to on video said the same problem happened with them but it was on an EVO.
Am I alone in this or have any of you experienced the same problem?
I also have the same issue and it annoys the crap out of me. I thought i was the only one.
Sent from my Moto Photon 4g
While it doesn't help the problem, it does make me feel a little more at ease to know that it's not just me having this video issue with Skype.
Looks good. Works GREAT!!!

What version of Skype are you running? I'm running 2.5.0.108.
Two somewhat connected issues:
Many users have had G4 hardware failures. Does anyone know if LG has identified the source and addressed this issue? Is this due to an overtaxed motherboard and overheating processor?
Several years after the original Droid experience it seems that manufacturers are still struggling to offer an optimized videochat experience.
HD signals and 4K upscaling are way too taxing for the G4 internals, at ambient temperature and with two HD cameras video chatting, the G4 overheats and automatically shuts down after about 10 minutes of use. I'm aware of the reported overheating issues of the G4 processor, the question is clear.
Will the G5 be able to hold two-way video chat (Skype) calls without melting down?
Thanks!
Why are you using skype? Use hangouts if you want the best video chat experience on an Android Phone.
Thats like using skype instead of iMessage on an iPhone. Of course the experience wont be a as good.

Skype for work I suppose, lot of company here in VN use Skype
Yes, in many ways Skype is a bloated app to use on any small device, compared to other newer VOIP and apps with the same functions. TBH.

That's not what he asked though. If he chooses to use Skype whether it is bloated or not is his choice. He asked if the G5 would be able to handle it without overheating.
The title of the thread is so wrong. I thought the G5 was suffering from that

I can't agree more
My wife and I use Facebook messenger to video chat when I work night. We used to use Facetime when I had an iPhone (6S+) but Facebook Messenger is actually better. The video is smoother and it seems to be a higher resolution. I haven't had any overheating problems with the SD 820 on the S7 Edge.
