PLEASE HELP: Stuck in bootloader

Hi there,
Although a frequent reader, this i my first post and I NEED YOUR HELP.
Total loser that i am i accidently run the HimaClearJumpCode.exe on my himalaya instead of the HimaGetDeviceData.exe. And as you stated in another topic: (Warning: DO NOT under any circumstances copy and run HimaClearJumpCode.exe on your device as it will render it unbootable. It is used by the upgrade utility to put you device into bootloader mode prior to upgrading.)
I am now properly F*CKED, please help!!!!!!!!! (if there is a way out of this...) Please also note i do not have the proper country id code to install a new ROM ( Orange Netherlands), which is what started this mess.
Humbly hoping for your help...

Himalaya upgarde failed to win200 se please help to downgrad

Dear friends
I was tring to upgrade my iMate Pocket PC also know as Himalaya with windows2003 SE , while upgrading I faced problems, the upgarde failed and now I am just getting no display and OS too. The only message displayed is
Serial
v1.03
nothing is working please help
bye with regrads,
your unit is still okay; even better that the usb version is showing on the screen. it's simply stuck on bootloader mode. what kind of problems did you encounter resulting in the failed upgrade?
one suggestion i can give before you downgrade is to try and proceed with the upgrade to se. put your unit back on the cradle but don't expect activesync to "recognize" the device. just put it back on the cradle and rerun the upgrade to se.
same thing happened when i upgraded but to wm2005. the screen showed error and the only thing on the screen was the usb version. i simply cradled back the unit and ran the upgrade. worked.
cheers
Hi
Thanks a lot, i tired those steps before and even now I did but its not upgarding I am gettig following error as show i the attachment. Please let me know what to do
thanks a lot

oh, it appears that you have the "wrong country" id issue. i'm not entirely sure as to how to avoid this but i believe it has something to do with the correct rom version (guys, correct me if i'm wrong). where did you get the rom you used for upgrading to se? downgrading might be the only trick if there is no rom for saudi-based users...but if any chaps presently living there and were successful in upgrading their units perhaps you could share the rom version/s you used?
cheers

To overcome the Country ID Error, first you need to install this tool...
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Tools/ER2003Edit_1_4_26.zip
Open the ROM file you want to upgrade, then change the appropriate 'Operator ID' code, after this click 'Save ROM image'.
Upgrade ur device. You will no longer face the error message.

My SPV M3100 won't start...

Hello.
I have a problem I hope someone here can help me to solve..
I have an Orange SPV M3100 that hangs on the Windows Mobile screen when I try to start it.
I'm able to go into bootloader mode, and i have tried using mtty142.exe with the set 14 0 command. It still won't boot. I've also tried to hard reset it.. still won't boot..
What I did was trying to unluck the SIM-lock with the Universal unlocker (HTC_Uni_Unlock_v1) from buzz. At the time I thought universal meant that it worked on all HTC devices (stupid, I know)... And I also thought it was harmless to just try and see if it worked. But I got an error around 92-93% and after that my device won't start. So my radio ROM might be screwed.
I'd like to flash my ROM with the i-mate one (JASJAM_WWE_1.20.305.3_1.20.305.104_1.07.03.10_ship.exe) and then add the ext-rom. But how do I do that when I can just access the bootloader screen? And do you think it will boot again if I'm able to flash it?
Here's some more info about my device:
HERM100
IPL-1.01
SPL-1.04
Thank you very much in advance. Help will be highly appreciated.
No your rom *is* screwed. You can get into bootloader, you can even get to 11% of a dopod etc rom upgrade if you try, but you will not flash a new radio.
You CAN boot the device.
Do a hard reset, but do not press spacebar to reboot after. Instead, do a soft reset. The unit should boot but as you've screwed the radio you will not get a gsm signal and the phone will say unknown sim status.
I know this as I bought one cheap after the owner had done exactly the same as you.
IMEI-check's unlock solution is the only one that works IIRC, and in some cases this re-writes the security area of the phone and repairs similar issues, but in this case I could not get the prog to read.
You need to return the device to HTC - you'll need to pay approx £35 for reflashing back to the orange rom. This is what I had to do.
Currently you cannot book the m3100 in through the web as it's too new, instead email / call them.

edit - or if you're an orange customer ring 150 and act dumb saying it ' won't work'....

What happens if you just leave the phone in bootloader mode and then try to flash any ROM (imate, dopod, htc...)? run 2 times the RomUpgradeUt.exe if you get an error on the 1st try.
If you get an error while running the rom upgrade utility you can monitor the USB port while upgrading (you will see the real error from the bootloader then), there's some more info on this wiki page:

good luck

No, if you want to send it back under warranty do not try to run a rom update as there are no orange rom packages. As described in my post above, it will get to 11% and stop. The device will be in the same state as before, with the same ext rom, but the splash screen and bootloader will have changed.
i.e: it will be bloomin obvious you tried flashing it and failed. Not what you want if you try for a warranty repair....
There is no error from the bootloader - as there is no radio rom present and no security area the upgrade process just hangs.

That's true, do not try to flash any other roms if you want to use the warranty or send the device back...
Thank you very very much for your help guys.
As I'm the administrator of these devices in the company I work for I just grabbed a new SPV and will send this thing back to Orange. It sounded like I'm getting a new one..
Well, I think I've learnt my lession.
Oh, and I have another question. Is there a reg editor I can install on this one so I can remove the app lock? I know I can install java apps, but it's a bit grumpy about apps that needs installation (the developer must be certificated).
Cheers guys.
Hi,
Try to flash a new rom using the SD card method described here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=62596
The rom must match your CID. Let us know if it works

Sorry to take the thread a bit OT, but just wanted to confirm this again.
So, if I flashed my M3100 with a different ROM, and then had to return the phone to Orange for repair for a different reason, I can send it back to HTC just to have the ROM reflashed, and then send the phone to Orange to get the repairs done?
I've been hesitating on whether to flash the phone with a non-Orange ROM because I didn't want to give up the ability to obtain warranty repair (as there is no ROM upgrade yet). If it's just a matter of £35 and then everything else as normal, maybe it's not so bad...
Thanks!
My SPV M3100 won't start!!!
I also did this, so if anyone can find a solution it would be greatly appreciated.
Also tried this and it didn't work for me:

Does anyone have the Orange UK rom ?

Does anyone have the Orange UK rom ?
Not the : HER_ORRO_123702_1060400_WWE_SHIP.exe
I have a UK preproduction unit and need the rom for this device.
Thanks,
P
What's the problem with your prepro version? older bootloader and not flashing from sd-card?
PrePro TyTn
I updated it with a Imat rom.. no problem (it's a unlocked PDA).
A couple of weeks later i was updating it with the HTC rom and my laptop went in standby mode during the update
Now my pda starts up in de bootloader screen (1.06).
No reset option will work, mtty1[1].42.exe (set 14 0) does not work eighter.
If it try to update it again it gives a "Vendor ID error".
It's a Orange UK device, and it think i need the Orange UK rom.
I tried HER_ORRO_123702_1060400_WWE_SHIP.exe...no succes.
It's the only Orange Rom i can find.
Need some help... can't use the PDA anymore
Thanks for your help..
Pim
If it's a preproduction device it should be SuperCID, but I guess your CID got corrupted during the bad flash, so no Orange upgrade will fix it. Too bad you flashed a rom with bootloader 1.06
Can you attach a usb monitor capture of the flashing process until you get the invalid vender id to confrm that?
I saved the Basic and Complete capture
Yes, it was what I said: your CID is corrupted. Bootloader 1.06 enforces CID checking and yours won't match any ROMs CID, it's just junk characters.
There are many of you with this same problem (search the upgrading forum), I hope someone comes with a fix for this soon...
ok, thx for the help.
indeed i really hope someone has a fix soon....
where to get UK Rom
Is there any way to get the UK Orange Rom anyway?

[Q] Htc Hd2 NEED HELP!!!!!

I tried to put android software on my htc hd2 that i just got and all i keep getting is the MAGDLR screen and i cant even use the phone anymore what do i do please help i need it bad can anyone help?
Ok calm down and tell me exactly everything uou have sone so I know at what point you are and what you need to do next.
pls i have the same problem myine is stuck in d malgdr screen and nothing is happening i have tried installing stock rom RUU_leor_s_htc_3.14.405.2 radio and leoruu_leo_s_htc 2.15. bt it keeps telling me update error pls help
Then that isn't the correct stock rom. Can't just use any stock.
If you have a tmous you just came a hairs width from bricking it. Get your rom from T-Mobile.Com and flash it, USB via bootloader is fine, or SD if you prefer.
If you have a regular hd2, then it must be branded, example o2 phones will only accept o2 branded stock roms, go to HTC.com, pick your phones country, and search support section for a rom it allows you to download using your phones serial. If it wont accept the serial, then that rom wont work.
