Hi, first post. Searched and searched, what am I doing wrong? version: X10, baseband: .52, kernel: 2.6.29, mod version: cm7 v009. I have tried fix permissions, putting wifi in 'never' sleep, but it still WLOD, reboots, and boot loops. x-( everything else works great, and I searched all 400 pages http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=911364
edit: fixed by repackaging 'Baseband' and flashing with flashtool
Sollution
Make a backup first. then full factory reset, clear the cache, then install. after first boot active wifi. its gonna work.

Hi there,
I tried to flash cobratos and trip's version of 2.3.4, but both give me com.android.phone crash immediately and it will keep crashing.
tried crash system server. tried diff baseband (2.1.65), doesnt make a difference.
I am using x10a with baseband 2.1.54 right now. am i missing something or not doing something right?
wipe system using xrecovery, then flash the zip file right?
You mean
In xRecovery. Factory Reset....yes
Wipe Cache Partition
Then under Advanced, Wiped Dalvik and Wiped Battery Stats.
Then chose install custom zip.
Right?

Hello,
i have a problem with my wifi.
i 've just put version 2.3.7 and my wifi doesnt show me
the available networks.i cant find any solutions.
please help!
im facing a similar case which the wifi signal disappear after 24hours i install/recover back to the normal state.
i set a backup point just before everything went wrong, and whenever the wifi signal disappear after 24hours, il go back to CWM and recover the previous state again and again.
initially i can go online with wifi, signal detection is ok. after 24hours, the signal disappear and i cannot detect any wifi anymore. restarting the unit, clearing cache does not cure. i even tried the method given by SpitFire-ZX this, yet the is no option for selecting NO and YES in step (6). the system jump directly to a reboot and log in like usual.
anyone?
Reinstall the rom, with wiping data/factory reset, and wiping dalvik cache.

Yes, install miniCM7 from zero
I think your router may be involved here..Because the given ip usually expires in 24 hours,
I had the same problem with all, and i mean ALL 2.3.7 roms
Whats worse, my wifi would disconnect every 20~30 secs. : /
So then i reserved an IP for my mobile onto my router..and viola! wroks pufect!!
Do check out how to reserve your phone onto your router, I strongly think that maybe your problem!!

I did all this and after 3-4 days my wifi is "disconnected" as it says...pfff i cant find a solution....
My wifi is not turning on?? I don't know what caused the problem but I think this happened after i installed ICS theme.
I have been trying many kernels and roms lately, for my new gaming phone, and all of them bootloop. nAa gives a cyan light, and loops, linuxDX reboots, and every other ROM reboots. what is this problem? I hate eclair, and I plan to overclock. Thank you all.

I am not sure what cell you actually have, but make sure that the kernel you are flashing is compatible with the rom. I suggest doing a full wipe and flashing a rom as it is and see what happens. But make sure first that what you are flashing is for your phone....

Ok, no problem. I would try doing a full wipe and flash a rom without changing kernel nor radio and see what happens.
Make sure that you wipe cache, dalvik, format system and then flash.

*Facepalm* I fixed it. I forgot the baseband >_> Thanks for your help anyway
hey guys i hope i put this in the right section... anyways, i was using cm7.1 stable on my fascinate with the stock kernel that came with it, which was awesome i must say. but recently i decided to try out the glitch kernel 13.1 as ive heard its even faster and overclocks better. and it is lol, its reallllll freakin fast but now my wifi wont work. worked perfectly on the other kernel but now when i hit the button to turn on the wifi, nothing happens, it kinda lights up and just stays there and wifi never turns on. does anyone have any work arounds for this? i really want to keep this kernel because its damn stable and fast but wifi is my only issue.
thanks guys
toggle airplaine mode off/on
Make a Nandroid, the wipe data. (restore the Nandroid if it doesn't work) I had this problem on my Iconia Tab after I did a dirty flash.
am I reflashing the kernel or cm7? I tried to airplane mode toggle and it just says error when I try to enable wifi in the settings menu
Don't reflash anything, just wipe data & dalvik.
did nandroid backup and cleared dalvik and did factory wipe, still no dice. am i missing something? did i get a corrupted kernel install file or something?

I've seen this before... I only have a minute to type this. There is a kernel cleaning script you can get.. by lippol I believe. Sorry to send you on the hunt. If that don't work, backup all your apps/data and do a full wipe (just wipe, not flash) on the phone and reflash kernel.
-Maniac
what does a kernel cleaning script do? theres an option to clean the kernel in the glitch kernel, is that the same? ive reflashed the glitch kernel too after reclearing dalvik and factory reset and still no wifi. would using a kernel cleaner do anything after reflashing?
ok i decided to go ahead and try the script, i was able to find it without a problem. cleared cache, ran it, and reflashed a redownloaded kernel and........ it works!! thanks so much guys!

International Player 5,0 on PACMAN ROM wifi stuck on downloading status. Happened before and went away for no apparent reason and now is back to stay. Wifi was working fine, but now the playstore sticks on "downloading." Since wifi was working, and still is for other stuff, would using a different kernel help? Has anyone resolved this?
Sorry, noob not allowed to post reply to someone else in dev thread reporting this problem already.
I had the same problem. Found no solution. So I had to do a clean install wiping everything.
That worked, of course.

ya i would say that maybe boot into recovery, backup, wipe: dalvik cache, cache, factory reset, system. then go back and install the rom again and see of the issue persists.
