Reinstalling Windows 6.5 Rom - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Not that I would want to, but in the event I wanted to reinstall Windows 6.5 over the NAND Anroid.

To reinstall Windows Mobile 6.5 you have to put your HD2 into bootloader. To do this while the HD2 is off hold the volume down button down and press the power button but continue to bold down the volume down button. When the multicolor bootloader screen appears connect your HD2 to the computer via USB cable and wait until you see USB in the white bar of the bootloader screen. Then just flash the ROM to your HD2. This method does not revert your HSPL to SPL but it will remove MAGLDR and CWM if they are on your HD2.
You can also flash it via SD card but this method does revert your HSPL to SPL if it is a official ROM that is. Go to here to learn how to flash via SD card.
Hope this is helpful.

please help me
Allready tried to put out your micro SD? And thenn do a reset?
Does your computer recognise your device when you plug it in?
What does the bootloader say your SPL is?
If the answer to the first question is yes then you should be able to flash one of the WM6 ROMS onto your device regardless of activesync. If your bootloader says you have Olipro's SPL then you can flash ANY ROM. Only found this out yesterday. If your device is a different spl then you'll have to install one which matches your CID.

Did u HardSPL before flashing ? If not do so. See here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448008
If yes u do not need Activesync, u can flash a ROM (NOT THE HARDSPL) from the SD Card as well
See:
Flashing Via MicroSD Card
1. Make sure your microSD is Formatted to fat32 using a PC (you dont have to delete all files but it is safer if you do)
2. Download your prefered Rom from the Raphael Rom Develpoment Page and unzip/unrar it to your computer
3. Goto the Roms Folder and rename the .nbh file to RAPHIMG.nbh
4. Copy the RAPHIMG.nbh file to the root of your microSD Card
5. Remove Sim Card and Restart phone
6. Plug the microSD Card into the phone
7. Press and hold the volume down button, then press the reset button with the stylus. Release the volume down button when bootloader tricolour screen appears
8. Follow the onscreen instructions to start flashing
9. Once phone finishes flashing and says Update Complete, reset with the stylus
10. When it gets to the screen where it configures the stylus, HARD RESET
(hold the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER (center) Buttons, press the RESET button with the stylus tip, then release the RESET button but continue to hold the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER buttons until the reset screen appears)
11. Follow onscreen instructions to set up your New Rom
Taken from this, thread

Did u try a Hard reset, this is mentioned in Step 10, just in the above instruction.
And last, Why did u take the 4.0, the ROM is at 4.7 according to

[Q] radio flashing...

hi, ive install the new energy ROm but forgot to install the radio 2.xx.50.xx. now i want to do it but CAB via activesync is not working...
any suggestions?
Btw i have windows 7...
Should i install smthg form microsoft?
All you have to do is download the radio you want right click on the zip file and click extract and choose the location you want to extract it to (I suggest your desktop for easy access). While your phone is off hold the volume down button down button and tap the power button but keep the volume down button held down until you see the tri color bootloader screen. Then plug your HD2 into your computer via USB cable and wait until you see the serial in the bottom white bar of tbe bootloader screen to change to USB and then flash the Radio. You can go to the Radio thread stickied in the Windows Mobile Rom develoment forum. Here is a link.
thks will try.....

[Q] Bootmanager stucks in 4-colour screen

Hello.
By pressing VolDown+PWR button, HD2 starts and shows the RED-BLUE-Green screen with a line with serial header.
Any idea why phone freezes in that point?
What do you expect to happen? You have pressed the keys to enter bootloader, and that is what the phone has done.
What do you want?
A hard reset .... then down Volume up and volume down and PWR button.
If you want to flash a new rom, you must join before the HD2 to the PC via WMDC

No bootloader is what allows you to flash a new ROM. When the official ROM flashing instructions say establish a ActiveSync connection before flashing a update ROM. They are just saying that cause ActiveSync creates a connection with everythiong on your HD2 including bootloader even though you can not see it really, plus it is easier for most people to understand. But when you are in bootloader and connect your HD2 to your computer via USB. You will see the Serial in the white bar of bootloader change to USB. After it changes to USB you can go to the device manager in the control panel of your computer and your phone shows up as HTC USB sync, this is the sync that is required to flash a ROM via USB.

[Q] Need help plz

Hi.
Just tryed to inst. Android in my HD2 and now it stuck with a white screen with the HTC logo.
Is it any way to fix this or do i just trach it?
I am not an expert but this happened to me once while installing SD android.
I reinstalled the original ROM from the HTC site and restored my phone to factory settings.
I tried another version of android and it worked well (since last September).
Only observation is that lately (last two month) my phone hangs a lot on both systems (droid & win) and overheats a lot and when this happens I need to wait for it to cool down (at least 20 minutes) then it accepts rebooting (I am stating this although I am not sure is it from the droid or just my HW is faulty for other reasons).
I hope this helps
I tryed a NAND install. Now I cant get conection with usb and computer
Maybe you can perform a hard reset with buttons
1. With the phone turned off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons, then press the END/POWER button shortly and release it.
2. Release the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
3. Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the hard reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.
I hope it works

As long as you can get to bootloader its ok
I would start over from the begining.....
Does it still show that you have HSPL installed on bootloader?
If so, reflash the windows 6.5 ROM that you were using before the android flash.
Then follow the steps in this thread.
Hope that helps....

Thnx I'll try it later and report back
Still cant get my coputer to connect to the phone.
I get to the "red green and blue" screen, and it says
PB01100 HX-BC
SPL-2.00.HSPL 8G XE
0x85
CotullaHSPL 0x40
I'm on win7 SP1
Ok when you enter bootloader (red green blue screen) you should see "Serial" at the bottom..
When you connect to the computer it should change to "USB"
You might not see anything happen on your computer but the word at the bottom of the bootloader should change.
I might be mistaken here but Im pretty sure you need "2.08 HSPL" although your bootloader shows you have HSPL installed its not 2.08. This might be the cause of your original problem.
Once it says "USB" your ready to flash a ROM via USB as usual...
If it stays on "Serial" after a few minutes then try another USB port or computer if possible.
Enter bootloader and run the HSPL tool and choose 2.08HSPL......
Then start the process from the beggining.
Hope that helps.

Hah your a babe conantroutman lol thnx
Is this the rigth SPL ?
Not to intrude on conantroutman here but yes you have to have HSPL 2.08 and a 2.15.50.14 or 2.10.50.02 radio for MAGLDR to work. Without the HSPL 2.08 you can not flash MAGLDR and without the proper radio version MAGLDR will not even boot up.
So to answer your question yes the HSPL you have in the picture you posted is the correct HSPL.
Yep as T said, hspl is good, radio is good. Your all set.
That guide for installing android at the top of the thread is pretty damn good and will have you up and running in no time. Let us know how you get on
Sent From My Fingers To Your Face.....
thnx to both of you. I'll post here when done
Crap my call button dont work when I'm in bootloader
When your in the MAGLDR menu?
You may have to flash WM again to test the call button. Or try reflashing MAGLDR, that may help...
Sent From My Fingers To Your Face.....
I guesse it's a lost case so I just installed winmo and runing android from SD card
thnx for the help.
btw!
is there a way to get htc sense to work on a huawei u8800 or x5?
Hmmm its very weird because if your call button works in WM then it should work in MAGLDR....
