One of my many Atrix issues, every time I uncheck keep screen on the next time I plug the phone in it is checked again.
I don't do anything in the development settings it seems the setting won't hold.
Anyone else?
Same here. This happens after every reboot. Can't seem to figure it out.
When I got my Atrix the first time I charged it I didnt use the wall charge that came with the phone. Instead I used my wall charge from my Nexus 1, i figured it was the same plug so no biggy. It charged it but the screen kept coming on. I decided to try the Atrix wall charger for my next charge and the screen stayed off.
Just figured I would post my findings.
+1 I have nothing checked, I just charge the phone on the original charger & it randomly happens..
where is this setting again? I turned it off when I first got the phone but I forgot where the setting is... it is now doing it again.

Last night I was on my phone, enjoying my newly flashed MUII rom when suddenly my phone shut off. I was expecting this to happen since my battery was very low, but now my phone wont charge or turn back on. When I plug in the charger, it seems as if the power cycles from displaying the charging battery logo for one second, and then shutting of for 3 seconds, then repeat endlessly. I have had it plugged in for quite a while now, with no change. This is the battery that came with my phone.
Does anyone know what is wrong and how to fix it?
Any help is much appreciated.
I had this problem before too and didnt come back alive no matter what i did... as a last resort i popped the back cover off, took the battery off and let it chill for like 30 sec popped it back in and walla~ it worked, hopefully it works for you as well
I will give this a try. Thanks

Well it is no longer in it's endless loop. It seems like it might be charging now. thank you
I've had that happen with miui on my HTC g2. Not sure why it kept happening but taking the battery out and pressing the power button will discharge the remaining stored power on the device like a PC, (you may even see the screen flash slightly) and
you should be able to boot again immediately.
Note you can't have it plugged in when doing this

Thanks for your help. My phone is working just fine now.
All,
I recently rooted my Rezound following the guide at (http://theunlockr.com/2012/08/24/how-to-root-the-htc-rezound-video/)
I had superuser app issues with the recovery image included with the instructions so I loaded Amon Ra 3.16 from here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1339679) and the superuser app worked as it should. I kept the ROM stock.
Everything had been working fine but I did notice that my phone would be completely off at times when checking and I had to power it back up. Then today my phone rang but the screen was black and I could not answer. I pulled the battery and powered back up but it remained black. The phone went through its normal start up cycle from what I can tell because I felt a quick vibrate feedback upon power up. But again, nothing on the screen. I repeated this a couple of times even leaving the battery out for about 15 mins. Nothing.
Reading forums, it seemed like I was experiencing the same issues outlined here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1339679) regarding the clockworkmod charging issue. The symptoms of seeing the orange LED for a few moments after inserting battery and trying to start up is what I see. I followed the instructions but I could not get "adb devices" to show my Rezound. I went ahead and finished the procedure thinking maybe this would work anyway. But still nothing.
I tried to get into HBOOT but cannot access.
I'm stuck...any ideas??
Thanks for your help!!

Is your battery charged? Do you see the charging light when it is plugged in?

The battery was not fully charged when I first noticed the screen would not come on when I received a phone call. Probably 40%.
And yes, I do see a charging light when plugged in...though it only illuminates for about 5 seconds and then disappears and never re-appears unless I unplug/re-plug.
I left it plugged in all night without any luck.
Thanks!
Might have a bad battery or connection. I have a PSP that will shut off after 15 minutes on the fully charged battery. But not when it's plugged in. Maybe you could go to a Verizon store and see if they have a battery to test it. Or you could pick one up on Amazon for like 8 to 10 bucks.
I'm no expert by any means. But that's what I would try

Thanks! I ordered a battery and will see what happens.
Looked at my watch and noticed the time was about an hour off.. The watch is completely frozen. I've tried placing it on the charging dock, also pressing the reset button for up to 30 seconds. And looking within the android wear app for a restart option all to no avail. Anyone know how to restart it?

Is the display still on? Maybe once the battery dies you can get it to reboot on the charger. Keep us posted!
I also frozen my GWatch 2 days ago and I restarted it after push the reset button for 10s.

Yes the display is still on. I was hoping to not have to wait for it to die.. Ugh but thanks!
Solved (well kinda): letting the device drain the battery over night and when I woke up the screen was black.. Placed it on the charger and all seems good now. I just wish there was a way to restart it without having to let it die.. Luckily I was home all day yesterday.. But if it would have froze while I was at work I would have been without it all day. That's kinda scary because I need a watch at work in my profession.

Look on the back. There is a hole where u can stick a paperclip or something same in to reset
my watch seems died. Left it on the charging cradle all night long, this morning i found it off with no way to turn it on. Placing on the cradle again shows the full battery icon, but the screen is totally black. Tried to use the little button on the back of the watch for about 10 sec with no results... any suggest but rma?

Maybe try letting the battery run dead? That is what I had to do in order to get mine to reset

Can you take it in a dark room? Is the backlight on?.. If not then yeah I would try returning it where you purchased it.
backlight seems off. i'll try again with the cradle once i'll be back home, but i do think that rma is the only way
update: seems like the charger i use no longer charge my gwatch. I connected the watch to my pc with another usb cable, and after some seconds it boots up
battery was completely drained (0%) so that's the cause of the problem. now, i tried to charge my phone with the same charger i use for the watch and it seems ok, so i'll probably have to discover why it didn't charge my watch until battery gone 0%...
I have an HTC QC 3.0 charger that I am trying to use with my G5. It charges the phone ok, but the display will not stay off. I turn the display off using the power button and it goes off. Then after a few seconds it comes back on to the lock screen (I have smart lock turned on and it is enabled by my being at home). After a few seconds the screen turns off again because there was no activity to unlock the screen. This repeats continually. This does not happen with the stock G5 charger. (or with non-QC chargers either) I have lock screen notifications turned off, always on turned off. Any ideas?
My phone has started and stopped charging twice since in have had it. This was happening repeatedly every 20 to 30 seconds. It would turn the screen on each time. Not sure why it was doing it. Maybe That was the case with you?

Sounds similar. I'm pretty sure mine is charging the entire time, the display just keeps turning on and off.
Another friend of mine had the issue, got a replacement for his.

I'm having this very problem with a secondary (original) charger I bought, on charger that came with phone, everything works OK.
I'm not sure if the problem is with the charger...
Any help?
Factory reset the phone
Hey people.
So i'm reaching out here for assistance with an issue that has only happened since the march update. Always on display refuses to always display unless its plugged in to a charger.
If i unplug the charger and turn screen off, it goes completely off within a couple of seconds. As soon as plugged in, it stays on.
I've gone through all the settings i can think of but I am now scratching my head because nothing i do seems to solve the issue.
It just worked flawlessly before.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Did you ever resolve your issue? I am getting mine on monday and am trying to avoid issues
No mate. Sadly not. Also can confirm that even after april update its still the same. No matter what i do, the always on display will just not stay on unless its plugged in!
Don't get me wrong its not life or death bug. But i always have my phone next to me and always glance at screen for time. Its no good to me if it wont stay on
